outfitsEver since the incident with the Order and the rogue vampire, Valerie had spent a lot of time with Amanda to help her find other ways to defend herself. They had spent hours and hours inside the Gym at the Quarters, working on basic skills, but today they were out in the forest, working on different skills. The training wheels were coming off today and she was about to track the witch through the forest and give her a challenge. She had to defend herself without the use of magic whatsoever once Valerie caught up with her. Letting the witch get a head start, they were soon deep within the forest by the time Valerie caught up with her and tackled her to the ground. They fought without dealing too much damage and didn't even hear someone approaching. With her sense of smell, she should have picked up on the individual, but she didn't realize they weren't alone until the wolf had charged and knocked Amanda to the ground by tearing into her arm. Valerie was on the wolf in a second, earning her a deep gash in her own arm at the same time, and suddenly they were both gone. The wolf had been scared off and Amanda had run off somewhere on her own, leaving the werewolf alone in the forest. Her first instinct was to find the wolf, but she'd left not trace for her to follow and Amanda seemed to have wiped her presence from the forest as well so she had no choice. She had to find Jack before it was too late. She would have shifted, but she didn't want to address Jack nude so she ran as fast as her human feet could carry her and banged on the door. She could tell he wasn't alone, but this couldn't wait. If she was right, he needed to find Amanda as soon as possible as she shouldn't be alone at this moment. "Jack, I don't care if I'm interrupting, it's an emergency..." Only now did she take the time to inspect the gash in her arm and try to calm down again.

Jack had put Kailah to bed and was now relaxing on the couch with a beer and watching a game. He kept quiet during the game, not wanting to wake up his daughter. It had been a relaxing day and now night till he smelt a wolf coming closer and closer to his home. He recognized the scent and heard the banging on the door and quickly opened it."Your going to wake Kailash up, what is it?!" He demanded.
He let her in, and thankfully Kailah hadn't woken up and looked at the she-wolf she had lost her mind. He then noticed the deep gash she had on her arm. "What happened?" He asked.

The thought of waking Kailah hadn't even crossed her mind at that point, but she whined softly and looked down at her feet at the scolding anyway. Stepping inside, she tried shrugging off her anxiety now that she was with the one person she knew would truly understand the gravity of the situation, so when he asked what happened, she figured she'd start at the beginning.
"Amanda and I were out in the woods, fighting, as she's really been working herself half to death to learn. Long story short, we were attacked by a rogue wolf that got away." Moving her hand to cover up the already healing gash, she looked up at Jack, her brown eyes full of worry. "I think Amanda might have been bitten, I can't say for sure as she was gone the moment I got the wolf off of her, but this is bad Jack. Very bad."
If the wolf had bitten Amanda like she thought, the witch would probably be writhing in pain soon as the venom spread through her body and who knew how she'd handle that. The witch wasn't exactly known for keeping her temper in check, even with the bracelet from the Dragon, she didn't want to know how she'd react to this level of pain. Valerie was almost afraid now, of how Jack would react to all this. "I never meant for anyone to get hurt and I can't find a scent to follow for either Amanda or the werewolf..."

Jack listened as the other began to explained why she was banging at his door this late at night and the answer stunned him, but not only that it angered him. His eyes narrowed into slits and he growled. He called the baby sitter who gotten their in less than ten minutes and once Kailah had someone watching her, he gripped Valeries wrist and took her outside.
He touched her wound and smelt the blood, very faintly he caught.onto a scent and couldn't help but.to feel he had known this scent. "Get your wounds checked out, I'm going to find Amanda and the rogue." He said and quickly left. He wanted to find Amanda first and headed back to the scene where it all happen. He looked around and caught onto the rogues scent and saw the damage it had left and looked at to the broken branches of another somebody who was also trying to get away. He followed what he believed to be Amanda and tried his best to track her. He hadn't done much tracking, so this was skittle bit difficult, but felt like he was on the correct path.

It really wasn't Valerie's fault that this had happened; Amanda had wanted to learn how to fight and she'd wanted to take it up a notch. The witch herself had suggested they take it outside to make it more realistic and that's exactly what they'd done. The fact that she hadn't been able to pick up a scent at all from the attacker had made it impossible for her to stop it from happening as she'd never encountered anything like it before.
At first, the witch had used magic to get the branches out of her way as she was heading home, then she stopped and just ran, not caring if she got cut or anything on her way through the bushes. She had already troubled Jack enough, there was no reason to worry him with this incident until she knew for sure what was happening. She had run as fast as humanly possible and barely made it inside her door before she lost control.
Her parents had finally started to trust her with her daughter again and in general, and now this could put her right back to square one. The very idea that she might not be allowed near her girl again made her angry and before the Dragon even had a chance to take it all away, the windows had blown out and things knocked down. When the anger faded, she made her way to the bathroom to assess her injuries before she doubled over in pain. The blonde made her way to the shower and crawled in, setting the temperature to ice cold before she turned it on. It didn't matter, pretty soon the water was evaporating and she couldn't snap out of it to get control again.

Jack made it to Amanda house and noticed the windows were blasted out and things were knocked over. He looked around.d and cautiously walked in, hearing water running and knew Amanda was here. He was alittle worried about approaching her, knowing Amanda could be a handful when she was in pain. He very slowly walked towards the shower. "Amanda!!It's Jack!!" He called out.

Amanda hadn't even noticed Jack entering or approaching until he called out to her. "Go away," was her automatic response. She didn't want him to see her like this, especially not when another wave of pain rippled through her body, making her shatter the mirror. She knew she was a handful when she was in pain, but lately Jack had been helping her more than anyone else. So, finally she gave in and managed to open the door to her shower cabinet. The water stopped evaporating and the steam escaped through the open door, revealing a fully clothed and soaking wet witch, the cold water once again drenching her and numbing the pain.
"Don't be mad," she said, pulling her knees to her chest, unable to really move further than that at the moment. It seemed Jack just being there had made her regain control over the magic for now at least as all the abnormalities from earlier had ceased to happen. No more glass shattering or water evaporating, instead she was actually freezing for once, shaking in the cold water. It really did numb her to the pain spreading through her body and she looked up at Jack with worry written all over her face. This wasn't part of any of her plans. She'd always thought it would be a vampire that got her in the end, never in her wildest dreams had she thought she'd be bitten by a werewolf.

He expected that response but wasn't going to leave. He heard glass shattering in ths bathroom and stopped for a moment before bravely venturing to the door. He stopped one it opened and heard Amanda from inside. She looked in so much pain and he grabbed a blanket from the bed and wrapped it around her. He saw the bite wound and tried not to growl. He gently picked her up.
"Believe me I'm not mad at you." He said and laid her down on the bed. He want sure what he could do to help or to even stop the transformation.

The witch didn't know what was going to happen now. Sure, she'd contemplated doing this on purpose when her darter was older as a way of understanding her better, but she would never actually have gone through with it. She could lose everything she had worked so hard to achieve just because she was unlucky. There was nothing to be done with it now though as she knew she would just have to come to terms with it on her own time. Still, Amanda didn't move until Jack wrapped the blanket around her and picked her up.
Being so close to Jack got her worried about her daughter though as she could pick up a faint scent of what could only be their little girl. "Is Kailah safe? she asked as she wrapped the blanket closer around herself to try to get some warmth back in her bones. It was useless though as the blanket was quickly becoming just as cold and wet as herself. Still trembling, Amanda was frustrated as she tried to keep up with the changes happening to her. She actually had to cover her ears in an attempt to block out new sounds she'd never heard before as well as scents that had been almost undetectable to her human senses.
"I'm going to find that bitch and make her wish she'd never been born," Amanda said with a slight growl as another wave of pain rippled through her. It was getting better though, so at least the worst was over it would seem. She had enough control over her magic to attempt to warm herself again and at least it helped a little. Now she was pretty damp instead of soaking wet, but she hadn't managed better than that yet as she became painfully aware of the water still running as well as the mess she'd made of things.

"She's fine." He said and wondered if maybe Amanda should just get out of the wet cloths and dry of. He knew what would happen and would try to help Amanda in anything she needed, he went through the pain alone and it was a terrible thing to go through on you're own.
"You need to get dried of before you try anything." He said and sat down on the bed next to her. He would find the werewolf and make them pay. He had w scent to go on so finding them wasn't going to be hard.

It was a relief to know that her daughter was safe. The only question now was what hoops she had to jump through to earn back whatever trust this change lost her. Nothing else mattered to Amanda at this point. She'd lost the right to see her once and she wasn't willing to put all the hard work to earn back that right to the side. Only good thing about this was that maybe Kailah would be less fussy with her now that she would be more like Jack. Seeing as her daughter didn't have her magic, Amanda really had no common ground with her before now.
Jack's words snapped her out of her thoughts and she smiled slightly at him. "All in good time I suppose," she said with a sigh. Why was it so hard to just get out of bed and get dressed in dry clothing? Her limbs just weren't responding, the best she could do was to sit up and lean on Jack. Yes, she certainly wasn't ready to hunt someone down just yet, all her muscles were aching, though she did feel a lot better than when she'd barely managed to drag herself into the shower to begin with.
"How long is it supposed to be like this?" she asked and gritted her teeth as she moved to sit up on her own. She refused to be completely crippled by the pain, it wasn't her style to let something defeat her like that.

He didn't like Amanda in pain. Sure they weren't together but he still care for her and wanted Kailah to have a mom. He let her lean on him and looked down at her. "It could take hours depends on the person." He said softly and gave her a reassuring smile. The pain was going to be intense, but there was nothing he could do than to just be there for her. He did want to find that rogue soon, because their was a high possibility that they might leave our attack again and Bitter Springs can't have a rogue werewolf running around.
He gently made Amanda sit back down."I have to leave, I need to find the werewolf that had bit you." said and left. He called Amandas mother and told her what had happened and asked her if she could come down. Once he had someone coming down toAmanda aid, he took off back into the Forrest. He caught wind of their scent again and south.headed

Candice had ventured deep into the forest to try to get in touch with her inner wolf. They weren't exactly the best of friends after all, and she had very little control over it, which was why she'd figured it would be safe to try to run deep within the forest; who else would venture there? She had gotten her instincts under control when she'd been out there in her human form, getting to the point where she didn't get confused by all the unfamiliar sounds and smells. This was exactly why she hardly ever left her apartment, even during the full moon. She'd figured that in familiar settings, she wouldn't struggle too much with her nature.
Finally she had felt comfortable enough to shed her clothes and shift. At first, it had been really simple to keep up with her new instincts to hunt and she had been tracking a deer when her ears picked up on someone fighting. Everything that had happened from that point until she returned to where she'd originally shifted was a blur. She'd lost control completely, and the champagne colored wolf quickly shifted back into her human shape. There was no point in running, she knew she'd left a trail someone could follow for the first time in her life. So she put her clothes back on and tried to wipe the blood from her face. She panicked though when she couldn't get the taste out of her mouth and she was dry heaving, wondering if there was a way out of being a wolf as she clearly lacked any kind of discipline.

Jack ran about five miles south before stopping and the trail suddenly stopped and knew that the wolf he had been tracking was close. He heard someone dry heaving and looked at some thick brush before pushing them to the side and saw the blonde she-wolf that he had met in the pub. He knew he had noticed this scent before, but figured that this girl he would never run into or be tracking her down.
"I thought I warned you....I wouldn't have bother you if you kept to yourself." He said and yanked her up by her hair, forcing her to look up at him. "You attacked the mother of my child." He added.

Candice still couldn't get the taste out of her mouth and she barely managed to stop heaving like that when Jack approached her. When he yanked her by her hair like that and was forced to look up at him, she was crying. No one had ever tracked her down before, and she had never actually attacked anyone before either. "I didn't mean to," she said quietly, worried about what Jack would actually do to her now that she'd broken one of his rules as well as attacked someone on accident. "I didn't think anyone would come out here, I lost control..."
The strong, determined woman Jack had met in the pub that night had disappeared and in her place was a scared girl, afraid of what the alpha would do to her now. She wasn't going to fight him on whatever he wanted to do though, she hated that she'd hurt someone because she wasn't in control. "Just do whatever you want with me," she said, more upset with herself than the fact that she'd been caught. If she couldn't control the wolf when she shifted, she didn't deserve to go unpunished, that much was clear by now.
