It had taken some time for Arya and Marcus to get settled in with their new arrangements. Even more so to find some way to get Marcus's curse under control so he wouldn't be connected to people like that again unless he wanted to. In the end, they found a witch that was able to craft him a ring, blocking that particular part of his gifts and the moment he slipped it on, they were free. However, the moment he took the ring off, it was back and they agreed he should never take off the ring unless he was in real trouble.

Guy had finally arranged so that James and Arya could dissolve their marriage without too many consequences. They agreed they would still take turns sitting on the town council, and that they would still always have a room at the others estate. That meant that James would always have a room in her house and she would always have a room in his house in London. Sure, when they were in either place, they would be allowed to use the whole property, but the other wasn't allowed to go snooping around in their room at either house. In the end, it was a deal they could live with as they didn't really love one another anyway.

Talbot still wasn't too happy about the situation, and she'd heard he was coming to town to do something about it, but it didn't matter to her. Marcus said he'd support her if she did this one thing for him. So, dressed quite simply in jeans and a hoodie, Arya rang the doorbell at Damien's place, waiting rather impatiently for him to open the door. He didn't have to let her in as long as he'd hear her out.

Guy was staying with Damien at his townhouse. Gale had gotten herself comfortable and Alec had.finally come home from visiting with his dragon. Alec and Damien were talking in the living room, Guy was sitting with them. Alec had actually missed Marcus, but hadn't been able to talk with the man. He did still think of Marcus as his adoptive father. Damien was sitting on Guys lap, he didn't love the man or anything, but he did like him because of how kind he is.

Damien heard the door ringing and got up, answering the door and saw Arya. He quickly closed these door behind him."Why you here?" He asked.

Arya realized that Damien wouldn't be happy to see her, but there was no way she was going to let Marcus try to explain his way out of this by apologizing for her. She'd done more than enough to make him a bad person in Damien's eyes and she couldn't let him cover up for her this time.

Once Damien opened the door, she took a step back when he went outside and closed the door behind him. "I realize I'm probably the last person you want to see, but just hear me out, please?" There was no other way to make Damien listen than to be humble about it and careful at the same time. She didn't want to sound accusing or try to make it like he was in the wrong in any way.

"I never realized how much Marcus actually loved you until very recently. I was wrong to try to get between you again." It was hard for her to admit that she was wrong, but there was no other way. Besides, it was true. "I just needed you to know that we've worked things out after he got back from his trip, and that we're finally free. I don't expect you to believe me, I just can't stand to see him so miserable because of what I did." Running a hand through her hair, Arya sighed slightly. There was no delicate way of putting things, and there was no guarantee that Damien would even believe her. "I'm not asking you to forgive me, just that you'll read me."

Damien have expected her to tell him that she and Marcus were together now and then there is no hope for them to get back together. What she said next to him by surprise. Did he hear right? She was apologizing? He just stared at her, letting her finish what she had to say before frowning."Why isn't Marcus here to apologize, he should be saying sorry as much as you should." He said.

A soft sigh left him as he leaned back against the door, looking at his so called sister."How can I believe you?" He asked. It wasn't hard to say that he didn't trust either of them. Marcus liked to put her up to to win him over.

There was no point in trying to lie to Damien and there was really no point in trying to convince him either. She just had a few things she needed to say and when she'd said her two cents, she'd be out of his way. "We talked about it, and we both agreed that since he's lied to you so many times before, it would be better if I talked to you first. He also said he'd promised you wouldn't see him again until you wanted to yourself, and coming here to apologize would break that promise."

In a weird way, Arya going to Damien's instead of Marcus was their maker's way of honoring a promise for once, even if it was one he really wanted to break. Knowing that Guy was in town and living with Damien for the time being really made Marcus upset, but he wasn't about to do anything to hurt Damien again now.

"Use your gifts, Damien, read me like a book if you have to. I got what I've always wanted, ever since you came into our lives. I'm finally free. I don't expect you to believe me, but for the first time since I began this life, I can be on the same continent as Marcus without knowing where to find him at all times. It makes it a lot easier to be in the same place without wanting to be with him."

The reason was a good point. Marcus did promise him that he wouldn't come and see him unless he wanted him to. He listened as she explained how free she was now. He tapped into his telepathy, reading her mind and it was clear that she was telling him the truth. He stared at her in disbelief for a moment and sigh."I see.....well if that's all you wanted then I guess you can leave....I see that your telling the truth but I don't know if I can see Marcus yet....plus Guy is still here....he seems to really like me." He said.

Alec had wondered what was keeping Damien and got up, heading to the front door and opened it. Damien looked behind him, seeing Alec staring at Arya, he apologized and closed the door. Damien looked back at her."I don't know why you complained so much about him, he doesn't cause me any trouble." He said.

Arya only nodded slightly when Damien said he didn't know if he could see Marcus yet as Guy was still around and seemed to really like Damien. "No one's pressuring you into doing anything, take your time. If Guy makes you happy, then he makes you happy." Arya really hadn't come to try to get Damien to go back to Marcus after all, she just needed him to know that whatever she had had with Marcus was over. They were finally able to just work together with no ulterior motives.

Upon seeing Alec, Arya sighed, especially after hearing what Damien had to say about the matter. "It wasn't Alec that caused trouble really, or Amelita. I'm just not cut out to train newborns and learning how the two girls killed a pizza guy just brought it all to the surface." Looking down for a moment, she contemplated for a moment before she looked back at Damien to offer an explanation as to why it was so hard for her to take in the newborns.

"I've turned a few people over the years, but for some reason they just never seemed to learn. One of them in particular was a real handful, I couldn't give him what he wanted and he started killing prostitutes for show. In the end, I've put most of them down as they drew too much attention to themselves. I haven't turned anyone since Jack, and I don't like having other people's fledgelings thrown at me when I'm not allowed to teach them a lesson if they cause a scene."

Damien sigh softly, it was one thing after another when it came to Marcus. Things just couldn't be simple, no, their was always some kind of drama going on. He knew that Arya and Marcus were being honest with him, but he didn't want to just jump back into the mans arms, plus he had Guy here still. He leaned against the door once more, taking his eyes.off her for a moment and appeared.to be in deep thought.

"Well if that's all you had to say, then I guess this is a good night, I have nothing.else to say to you." He said softly.

Marcus could be a real drama queen at times, there was no point trying to deny it or avoid it. All they could really do was to try to find ways around it, though hopefully he could change that now if he wanted Damien back. More than anything, Arya hoped Marcus managed to stay away just to prove that he was really serious about changing this time around. There was nothing more Arya could say or do to convince her brother how sorry she truly was anyway.

"Just one more thing, could you possibly thank Guy for me?" Without Guy, she most likely wouldn't have had a way out that everyone was happy about. James had wanted out as well it seemed, he'd just been too afraid of Marcus to be the one to bring it up. Turning to leave, Arya stopped halfway down the stairs to look back at Damien. "Say sorry to Alec for me?" She wasn't expecting an answer or for Damien to really pass it along, and she didn't stick around long enough to find out what he wanted to do.

He only nodded at Arya request towards Guy and Alec. Alec thought that Arya didn't like him and it did hurt his feelings, but now Alec was doing.okay and was more happier being with Damien and having the vampire take care of him. He did miss Marcus though. "I will good much luck with everything." He said and watched her walk off.

He headed back inside, closing and locking the.door behind him. Alec had went upstairs, leaving Guy alone in the living room. He sat down beside the vampire, sighing softly and ran a hand through his hair.

Guy knew that him helping Arya and James put a time limit on his stay with Damien, but he really wanted to make the most out of the time he had left with the other male. He really had had a good time since coming to town and he'd stay as long as he was welcome. For a moment he thought maybe it was Marcus that had come to see Damien, but he was relieved when he learned that it had just been Arya, at least that meant he might have some more time before he was no longer welcome.

When Damien sat down next to him, Guy turned to look at him and study him for a moment. "No matter what you decide to do in the end, I want you to know I've really enjoyed seeing you again." Leaning closer, he kissed Damien's cheek before he just hugged him and held him close, nuzzling his neck lovingly. He'd always wondered what had become of Damien after the raid on his village, especially since Marcus wasn't know to be gentle with anyone. Marcus had even intimidated him at first, but he'd calmed down when it became clear to him that the much older vampire wasn't going to hurt him for trying to make Damien feel better again.

He looked at Guy with a small smile at how kind the vampire was towards him. He have Guy a kiss on the cheek before the other pulled him into a hug and lovingly nuzzled his neck. With Alec and Gale gone to their room, him and Guy could have some alone time. He straddled the vampires waist, looking at him."Is something going to.happen to.make.you leave?" He asked. He felt like their was something or someone coming that was going to make Guy leave. He honestly didn't know what to do or who to choose from, it felt like a no win situation for him.

It didn't matter to Guy whether or not Damien loved him as long as he manage to make the other smile. He didn't exactly love Damien either, he just cared deeply for him and was glad to have been given a chance to show him how to have a good time without anyone getting hurt. All good things eventually came to an end, but it would stay with Damien as long as he was wanted there or until anyone tried anything.

"I don't want to leave, more than anything I want to stay and make you happy. We both know I can't stay in Bitter Springs forever though, no matter how much I want to." If history had taught him anything, it was that sooner or later Damien went back to Marcus. He did, however, intend to make Damien smile for as long as he could. So he pulled Damien in for a loving kiss to show him just how much he wanted to stay as long as he could.

"Talbot isn't very happy with me for helping James and Arya," he murmured when he broke the kiss, before he kissed up Damien's neck. Showering Damien with affections, he wanted to not have to worry about anything else and just enjoy the time they had together.

He kissed back, feeling it break and looked at Guy, knowing that the man wouldn't be able to stay long. He frowned at what he said next. So that was probably why he would have to leave. He didn't like Talbot that much, the man had kidnapped him before. He didn't really care about him being Marcus friend, he was never nice to the man after he pulled that stunt when Marcus and him traveled to England to get away.

He smiled and leaned his head back at the kisses going down his, neck. "I can try and scare Talbot away, I don't like the man, he needs to get over the fact that Arya and James didn't want to be together. He started kissing down the mans neck, lightly nipping at his neck and ran his hands down his chest.

It was weird knowing that their time together would have to come to an end sooner than he'd like, but at the same time he intended to spend every moment that he could just making Damien smile at him. "That sounds nice, though be careful. He's ancient," he said quietly, still showering Damien with affections.

When Damien started kissing down his neck, nipping lightly like that, he moaned softly, enjoying the attention. It didn't take long until he ran his hands up Damien's shirt and caressed his skin gently, wanting to show Damien exactly how much he appreciated his company. "I like it here, and I like you," he said longingly and brought Damien in for a needy kiss.
