Finnley was starting to get better adjusted to being in town. He was going out more but not without a few odd items his parents had no idea about. Since having met up with Gale, he'd been a bit more paranoid about walking around town on his own. He felt fine when he was with his family, but out on his own, he'd never felt so...scared that something might snatch him up and devour him. He'd gotten to ease up a bit more about things, but he was still a bit high strung since he couldn't hear people or the monsters around here. Thankfully to help relax him some, Gale had planned to meet up with him in the local park. He managed to get there on his own, having taken to running every morning along the paths. He knew the park pretty well at this point, so he could at least seem a bit more comfortable around here. He knew he couldn't really relax until Gale arrived though, meaning he would need to find a bench to sit on and try to stay still. Sadly even without being a bit nervous, Finnley constantly struggled to stay still, his leg bouncing where it was clear proof of that. He tried to distract himself with his phone some, going through little fact files he tried to find on various monsters that could even exist in this town. He knew the list could go on forever, but hopefully Gale could clear that up some today. outfit

outfits~*~ Amelita had stayed out of trouble for the most part since her last encounter with Finnley. She'd even gone away with Marcus for a week to really witness what they'd do to her if she was caught hunting vampires herself now that she was one. It was just easier to pass on the torch and ease the human's worries instead of trying to figure out how to talk to her parents about how she had to give up hunting all together really. Before going to see Finnley, she'd called another ex-hunter and an old friend and explained the situation. Emily hadn't really been in touch with any of her former friends since she'd quit hunting altogether, but once Amelita explained how she'd been turned into a vampire and wasn't interested in hunting anyway, just talking to a human she'd agreed to come along. Of course, she'd been told to stay out of sight until she was called as Amelita didn't want to alarm Finnley with her just showing up unannounced. Once she was ready to go, Amelita grabbed a bag of her old hunting gear and brought it with her to the park. It didn't take too long to arrive and she walked at a human pace, taking it easy when she approached Finnley as she didn't want to alarm him or freak him out again. When she reached the bench, she placed her bag down so that it was situated between the two before she sat down herself. "I hope you don't mind, but I brought some things for you." she said with a smile, glad to see that he was still alive and well, even if he'd seemed slightly nervous.

Finnley kept his eyes peeled for sight of Gale. He almost looked to jump out of his skin when he looked to the side of him then felt a bag hit his foot. He looked up with a relieved sigh, keeping an eye on Gale's lips as she spoke. He looked down at the bag then, his face curious but nervous about its contents. "so this is for more than what ya first told me about?" He gestured to the bag then, looking up at gale with his curious eyes. He seemed to have calmed down so much more now, seeming to feel less like he was going to be cornered even if it was broad daylight.

She hadn't meant to frighten him by putting the bag down, but since he couldn't really hear she was bound to surprise him somehow anyway sooner or later. It was the only downside to this friendship as he wouldn't ever be able to hear her coming and might actually scare easier than most. Having to be more cautious was a small price to pay for having a human friend, that was for sure. And she didn't instead to break him anyway.
His curiosity made her smile slightly. It would be interesting to see how he'd handle Emily once she was introduced into the equation. "I have no use for any of this stuff anymore, but yes they are for more than vampires. I have a friend I'd like you to meet, she's different from me," making sure there were no one around to see, she opened the bag and pulled out a wooden stake. "This is something you can always carry with you." There were silver knives in the bag as well as a few contraptions that were easily concealed and easy to use, but she figured she had to use Emily to demonstrate.

Finnley's face seemed to pale the slightest touch at the mention of there being other monsters aside from vampires. He looked a little more on the curious side at the mention of a new person. Finnley was very much a social butterfly, monsters or not. He rose to his feet as Gale opened the bag. His eyes couldn't help to go a bit wide at seeing the contents of the bag, quickly taking the one item offered to him and hiding it. He looked a bit nervous as he closed up the bag himself, picking it up. "This is too public to pull things out like that. So who's ya friend ya want me to meet?" He had heaved the bag over his shoulder, gesturing to walk more towards a secluded part of the park in case she wanted to pull out more weapons at random.

Gale couldn't help but giggle slightly at how Finnley reacted to both the idea of meeting Emily and the weapons. Looking at Finnley, she smiled slightly. "She's a reformed hunter, she's special, but not like me," she said with a smile, following Finnley when he started walking towards a more secluded part of the park. It was good though, it meant she could show him more of the stuff she'd brought for him.
Thinking it was a good idea to bring Emily in, she texted the redhead and told her where to meet them and to be careful. While waiting for Emily to arrive, she sat down on the grass and looked at the human, curious as to how he'd react to her old friend. They hadn't really seen each other in a while and from what Gale had gathered, Emily hadn't really been out much since she ran away from home.
Emily finally arrived at where Amelita and Finnley were, it had taken a little longer than expected as she hadn't really gotten too clear directions from the vampire, but she was there and she was making her way over. She looked at Finnley, curious as to why Amelita was even interested in showing him what else was out there and how to defend himself. Was she secretly training him to be a hunter or did she just want her friend to be safe? She didn't really know.

Finnley ready Gale's lips on her friend being a hunter at one point. He couldn't help to be confused on some level about things but didn't question it too much as they ended up in the more woodsy and secluded section of the park. He dropped the bag down carefully, unable to help with wanting to look through it for some reason. Not many people came down to this area, meaning they were less likely going to be questioned about sharp objects and Finnley's loudness.he had pulled out one of the blades for a moment, looking it over as if wondering what metal it was made from. "Is she gonna help ya teach me or somethin'? Been trying to do research on my own since ya left." He put the blade back then, closing up the bag and standing up properly again. It took Finnley to even notice that someone else has shown up with them, making him blink at her before giving a bright smile and offering a little wave. "hello there, I'm Finnley." He was unaware of how long this woman had been standing around or if she know he couldn't hear. He couldn't help to keep glancing back at Gale though, just in case she spoke up and he needed to understand her.

Emily hadn't really been out much at all since she'd moved in with Oliver. Lately she had felt lonely though, she needed friends as well. Which was why she'd agreed to meet Amelita. Especially after learning the other couldn't be a hunter anymore either. If Gale had actually kept hunting, she would never have agreed to meet her or her friend, she didn't want anything to do with anyone who could somehow be connected to her father for one reason or another.
Gale watched as Finnley pulled stuff out of the bag. "She's coming to show you something as well, but yes she'll help with the teaching. She's something far less scary." She couldn't help but be happy though, not only did Finnley seem eager to learn, he seemed to have finally come to terms with the fact that there were vampires in the world. She didn't know about werewolves or witches yet, but at least he accepted that there were vampires. It really was good that he'd been trying to do some research on his own though.
"Emily," she replied before the boy turned to glance at Gale. She understood that he could only understand her if he was watching her, so to make matters easier, she went to sit down next to the vampire, so he wouldn't have to keep glancing between the two.
"Gale told me how you communicate, she also told me you needed to see what it is that I do. So, are you ready?" She wouldn't actually show Finnley before he'd said whether he was ready or not, and she had to make sure she didn't hurt Gale if the other really wanted a proper demonstration.

Finnley gave a nod at being told this new person should help him out with learning. He wasn't so sure about her being less scary though as this was all still rather unknown to him. He seemed to smile a bit more at the woman he now knows as Emily, knowing how to pronounce that name without the help of seeing the spelling. He looked a bit relieved that she seemed to know how to talk with him, liking it when people were a bit more aware he had to read lips in order to understand without the help of translators or sign language. He finally sat down himself across from the ladies, trying not to seem so nervous considering this Emily woman was a new kind of being he hadnt the slightest idea about. He watched Emily talk, looking a bit unsure or things. "It would help to see...I think. I'm as ready as I'll ever be." The fact of the matter was he was terrified on the inside, not knowing what to expect.

Emily looked at Gale for a moment when Finnley said he would like to see. Was he sure he really wanted that? Looking at the boy for a moment, she sighed slightly. "Just don't panic," she said quietly and opened her palm before she focused. She could do this, it wasn't like she would be using her gifts on anyone, so she carefully produced a slight spark in her hand.
Looking up at Finnley to make sure he wasn't freaking out, she focused the charge so that it wasn't just a tiny spark anymore but a bright, bluish ball of pulsating electricity. She knew he couldn't hear the crackling, but she could hear it very clearly, before she closed her hand and it was all gone. "I'm human in a way, I just have this ability as well." It was really hard to explain to an outsider, especially since she hadn't really shown anyone what she could do before. Not on purpose anyway, except for Oliver, and Gale had really been an accident.
Gale was sitting there quietly the whole time, watching Finnley to see how he'd react to learning how Emily was different from normal people. The redhead looked like everyone else, but she clearly wasn't.

Finnley wasn't sure what to expect from Emiliy, but kept his eyes trained on her. He was curious on some level, but his nerves were still getting the better of him. He couldn't help to lean his body back some at Emily holding her hand out to him, blue eyes looking a bit concerned. He jumped at the sight of the spark, eyes going wide as never having expected such a thing. Finnley couldn't help to fall back once it form a bluish ball of electricity. He sat up with a bit of a scared expression, but he wasn't moving to run away. He watched the sphere vanish before Emily was talking again. Finnley stared at her for a moment, looking more nervous now that he had someone that generated electricity at their fingertips so close to him. "That...I don't know how I feel about that....." It was clear Finnley was still easy to scare like any human on Supernaturals, but given more time and exposures like is he won't even so much as flinch at things of this nature.

It was obvious that he was freaking out slightly, but at least he wasn't running away in panic, which was a good thing really. It was understandable as well though, she'd freaked out herself the first time she'd realized she was different. Emily had hid her powers from her parents for as long as possible, until her father found out. Sure, she had excellent control due to years and years of training, but she preferred to live her life more or less without using her gifts now that she was free at last.
"Well, if you have any questions, about anything really, just ask, it might help," she said with a slight smile before turning to Gale and touching her shoulder to prove to Finnley that she wasn't dangerous to be around unless she wanted to be. Just because she produced electricity like there was no tomorrow at times, didn't mean she would automatically shock anyone she came in contact with.
"How's your fighting skills, Gale? Still a work in progress?" she asked highly amused when the other merely nodded in a reply. "Excellent," turning to face Finnley again, she smiled brightly at him. "So, care for a demonstration on how exactly you should use some of the stuff Gale brought for you?" Just because she didn't like the whole hunting thing, didn't mean she couldn't at least show him how to properly use a stake without actually doing any real harm.

Finnley was needing a bit of a moment to calm down again, still unsure of how he felt about this. He wasn't going to run off like he did the other day with gale, but this was still scary for him and the fact that he had no abilities like that. He nodded at Emily saying it was fine for him to ask questions, still seeming a bit stunned and weary of her. He watched how she touched Gale's shoulder, the vampire not flinching or twitching away in pain. He seemed to relax some at this, knowing now that Emily wouldn't zap him unless she really wanted to. He couldn't really understand what Emily was saying when she looked to be talking to Gale, only catching the vampire's nod and the superhuman's amused expression. Finnley looked confused for a moment before Emily started talking to him again. He looked at her a bit wide eyed before his eyes went back to the bag. He looked unsure of this, but none the less got to his feet. "Sounds good ta me. Just, no one's actually getting hurt, right?" As much as Finnley could be loud and a bit head strong, he hated to see people get hurt. He expected pain in some soccer games and kickboxing matches, but he was in a whole new game with this hunter equipment.

The only reason Emily hadn't been facing Finnley when she talked to Amelita was because he didn't really need to know how bad the vampire was when it came to actually fighting. He didn't know that despite her lack of strength, Emily could pretty much kick the other's ass if she wanted to. Not that she had any reason to want that and she didn't want to hurt anyone either. She'd done enough of that in the past, and it was time to put the past behind her.
Looking at the bag, Emily looked at the vampire for a moment, waiting for Gale to open it and pull out a weapon. When she found another stake in there, Emily chuckled slightly before taking the piece of wood handed to her. Turning to Finnley again, she tried not to be too happy about this all. "I won't hurt her, I'll just demonstrate how it is possible for a human, with the right training, to fend off a would be vampire assailant."
Helping Gale back on her feet, she turned her back on the other, waiting for the other to attack. When Amelita ran at her from behind and grabbed her, Emily threw her off and down on the ground, quickly placing the stake to her chest without pushing, the tip was barely touching the vampire when she let go of the other and helped her up again. Turning to the human, she couldn't help but be cheerful. "Simple enough, just got to catch them by surprise."

Finnley watched with eyes a bit concerned for Gale in this situation. He couldn't help it considering how near excited Emily looked about this. The boy wasn't sure which he was more scared to interact with now, as Gale was starting to seem a bit less scary than this Emily character is at the moment. He watched carefully as Emily turned her back on Gale, not sure what was going on until he had to focus to really keep up. His eyes were a bit wide as the vampire was pinned to the ground with the stake just barely touching her before the superhuman let her go. Finnley looked a but stunned at how cheery Emily was about this, watching Emily explain it was all about taking them by surprise. "So it wouldn't be too bad for me to just throw them an pin them with this thing?" He held up the wooden stake Gale handed to him earlier, looking like he wasn't too happy with any of this. Sure he was glad to be learning how to protect himself, but he wasn't feeling too hot about taking on something that was trying to eat him one day.
