Kevin did an atrocious job of shimmying his shoulders, "Maybe I could make a little cash then. Walk in, no girls tonight? Time to make some cash." He playfully flexed, knowing full and well he was muscular enough for it, but his tone and carriage spoke completely of sarcasm. Releasing his Adonis pose of one hand balled in a fist by his face, the other pointed straight out at some unknown location, Kevin relaxed in his seat.
"Now don't take this the wrong way," he said cautiously, "but are you into women?" One eyebrow was raised quizzically, wondering if the love of high heeled shoes came attached to an attraction of man-flesh. Honest curiosity and wanting to find someone who knew where to find the women in this town were his motivations. Thus far he'd found nothing but male discussion partners, and sometime soon he would like to find a girl where there wouldn't be much talking involved at all.

Finny just just laughed at how Kevin responded to the statement on men's night. There were a few buff guys, but half the staff as far as he remembered were thin and lithe like him but still far more masculine. "Good luck swinging around a pole with that much muscle." He was almost in a fit of giggles again as he got control of himself. He blinked at the new question. He had to think on it for a moment before answering. "Well I dated a few girls like this, but no...I like my overly tattooed boyfriend too much to try date anyone else." He just smiled then, always a bit giddy or excited when he got to talk about Jack. He always kept some details out so as to keep his alpha and wolf status quiet to strangers, but Finny honestly adored the wolf.

There was a visible shudder as Finny mentioned going around a pole. Not really Kevin's thing, surprising sure, but Kevin was really into only one pole, and that's a private thing. "Fair enough, thought I'd try. I haven't really found anywhere to blow off some steam but the local gym, and it's not the best place to pick up anyone. You're all sweaty, they're all sweaty, and any girl who goes dolled up to a gym doesn't need to be there... In my opinion." Kevin liked girls who worked out, not ones that went there so they had an excuse to stretch and wear tight clothing.
The comment of tattooed boyfriend niggled in his brain, he had recently run into an individual with a lot of tattoos, and this was a rather small town, how many 'overly-tattooed' men could there be? His brow furrowed slightly, "Muscular but not about win any Mr. Universe contests? Stupid fast?"

Finny chuckled at the reaction he got about swinging around a pole. He sipped on his drink some, still listening. Finny was rather lucky his metabolism was strong and he swam enough to stay trim. That and his dancing days did help to tone him some. The siren just shrugged before looking curious. He listened to the description given of a guy. He blinked, the muscles he was more than aware of, but things like speed Finny never paid attention to. "I guess he's fast, never really thought about it. Why?" He wasn't too sure about this, the description a bit vague for him.

The answer was very important to him, Kevin felt desperate to get information on the beast that had bested him in the gym. "He's.. He had a little girl with him, bright red hair? Curly?" It was the only defining factor that wasn't dark hair, dark eyes, average height. Too many people fit average with dark features, but the little girl. Red hair on one so tiny was a rarity, and if this was the supernatural's lover, then surely Finny knew about the little girl.
He needed to know what kind of powers he was dealing with. If it was just a super powerful vampire, one team of men could come in the middle of day and take care of it. If it was a werewolf, with a pack... Things would get complicated and fast.

Finny was listening, eyes confused until the description of a little girl. At first the siren lit up, knowing he was talking about Kailah. "Oh then you did meet my boyfriend! He's such the biggest sweetie is swear, and he's so good with kids. Man is out to keep a hook in my heart." Finny had only gushed for a moment before starting to control himself some.he was wishing that little girl now along with her father. The siren was starting to love the both of them and didn't want to let either of them go.

Kevin's brow furrowed for a slight moment, thoughts racing, the supernatural seemed to have some kind of spell over Finny. Nothing screamed "biggest sweetie" to him. He had to know more, if he was going to save people, he had to know exactly what this thing was capable of doing. In almost an instant, Kevin let the worry slip from his face, he could use this to his advantage.
Smiling brightly, Kevin joked, "Really is a small town then! I ran into your boyfriend earlier today. Quite literally too, I was running on a treadmill when we met." He kept his voice light, full of quirky wonder at how he possibly could have run into two connected people in two unconnected places. "What a crazy, random happenstance." In that moment, Kevin swore to save them from the beast. The little girl, and the boy that wasn't such a little girl at all. Both were so innocent, he'd do everything in his power to make sure nothing bad happened to either of them.

Finny listened to Kevin talk, the smile bright on his lips as words left the human. The siren couldn't help to feel something was a little off, but he pushed the thought away as he started to giggle. "Guess that's better than running into him at a bar or something. He's not as scary as some people think he is. Guess both of us are books you can't judge by the cover. Then again he didn't make the best impression with me before we started dating." He had an arm propped up on the table, supporting his head in his hand as he stirred his smoothie with his straw. Part of him was still upset he had to wait so long to finally get jack to be his, but it was river under the bridge as he had the alpha now.

Kevin shivered, "I'd hate to see the guy drunk. He seems like the kind to break things..." Concerned eyes turned to Finny, trying to see if there was any kind of reaction, a hidden emotion, a subtle comfortableness. He had to be sure the guy wasn't directly hurting Finny. A couple of times in the past, Kevin had run into abusive relationships, there were always signs.
Protect the innocent was one of the tenants Kevin and the Professor's group followed. If ever possible they saved as many lives as they could. Sometimes by killing, but it was always to stop further mayhem caused by the creature. Supernaturals were dangerous and needed to be taken care of, a plague that had to be contained lest it consume the earth and tarnish everything.

Finny blinked at Kevin, not quite getting the thought. The siren saw the wolf as a kind man for the most part even with their rough start. He shook his head, unable to help feel a little embarrassed now. "Not him, I've never seen him drunk anymore. Not sure you want to know how he can be when either of us are a bit tipsy together though." Finny knew he was a cuddly and very touch drunk, something he wasn't sure he'd want to relive anytime soon. They hadnt even been dating then, the siren unable to blush at the memory. Well what he had of the night. He tried not to let his mind wonder though, eyes looking curiously at Kevin, feeling a change in stare for some reason.

"I think it'd be best if I avoided the two of you drinking together, I don't like being the third wheel." He tried to keep the conversation light, the primary portion of it spiraling out of control and going from a nice time to something uncomfortable. It was similar to suddenly finding something slimy when you weren't expecting it, unnerving and discomforting.
While Kevin thought of a way to bring the conversation out of the hole he dug it into, he idly played with the left over fries momentarily. "Tell me about yourself Finny, what do you do with your free time other than taunt the boys?" He smirked lightheartedly, trying to revive the conversation.

Finny gave a nervous chuckle at what Kevin said, a hand unable to help with twisting into his hair and tug some. His eyes had even averted away and towards his drink, wanting a different focal point for a moment until he felt less awkward. He looked up though at the change of subject, well somewhat. Finny's eyes were a bit wide, not used to such a topic being his little self. "I normally like swimming or shopping free time wise. I just finished my college semester so its just been a little more work at the sushi bar and naps." He was just a little lazy lately, not really allowed to go into detail just where he wnt to swim since he was normally a merman in form the . Didn't need that slipping out to someone that hadnt the slightest idea what the town was full of.

Kevin leaned back in his seat before leaning forward and knocking on the table twice, "I'll take that as my cue, I hope you have a wonderful day Finny. Sorry for taking up so much of your time." It hadn't been his intention to bring anyone else down, the morning had just been hard for him. He had the slimmest, tiniest bit of a clue that something was wrong with this town. He'd been here weeks and hadn't found a lick of anything else. There wasn't enough information yet to mobilize troops, but even the small amount he had, he hadn't reported yet. He kept putting it off.
Rather than call immediately, Kevin had taken a shower, gone to the mall. Even now he didn't want to call in and report that there was need of a 'veterinarian'. It was code for a supernatural being spotted, but its true for unidentified. Any amount of change in the situation, a call was supposed to happen, but Kevin was violating his orders. He'd figure out his reasons later.
For now, Kevin smiled a little sadly to Finny, thoughts in his head loud and buzzing. He started gathering the empty containers at the table they'd shared, so he could properly dispose of them and didn't burden Finny with it. "Have a nice day, Finny." He repeated.

Finny blinked, watching Kevin for a moment. He want too sure of the sudden leaving, the siren unable to help pout slightly. He watched the human clean up, still looking a bit confused. "Alright then...bye Kevin." Finny watched a few moments longer getting up himself to throw away the remains of his drink. He couldn't help to look back, brown eyes staring before turning away. He spoke a bit under his breath then, choosing to just go home for the day. "Strange human he was..."
