Personality:gavin is a bit on the reserved side when first meeting him. He comes off distant at times as well. The only times one sees him light up and appear more warm-hearted is around his experiments, the main one being clu. He clearly was a father at some point, having the feel of a stern one with clu on some level. He is highly protective of his "daughter" clu and keeps track of what she does no matter what. He appears to have some Demons though, ones he will gone cold as stone if they are brought into question.
Likes: reading, going through old files, keeping up with clu's progress.
Dislikes:Clu getting into trouble, his old company bothering him for help, clu entirely disobeying orders.
Strengths:deciphering encrypted data, various means of making sedatives and stabilizers for his experiments.

History: Gavin was once one of the top researchers and biochemists for a massive weapons company. He had been assigned to what is only known as Project Origins. This was a weapons project, but it made ground breaking start in bio weaponry. He was the head scientist for the most part, having worked on the project from the very beginning. He was trying to make it more of a beast and not a human shape. this choice was taken away from him though, as his family was brought into the project. his wife was pregnant when the company forced him to use her as a test subject to see if there was a chance that humans could just be converted into the weapon needed. Gavin ended up losing his wife and unborn daughter in testing, but managed to salvage the dna of his daughter. He had thoughts to recreate her as an experiment, not caring if she was going to be a monster of a bioweapon. He didn't use the sample until three different units died due to organ failure. Gavin used his daughter's genetics as a last resort for creating the perfect organic weapon. He tuned her to be the best before reaching the six month mark where most reached organ failure, once she passed the mark, she was fully operational.
Gavin kept close eye on her, calling her Bambi as that was the name him and his wife had picked out for their first born. he was the only really allowed to go near Clu, as the rest of the lab called her, so as to get her ready to be put into field testing. As she was being prepped for this, something went wrong in the lab with another experiment, a project Gavin had no control over. It was one of the beast versions of what Clu was, destroying everything. THe entire lab had to be abandoned, including any experiments inside. Gavin made sure Clu was put into stasis and her lab area on complete lockdown, the scientist hoping she wouldn't be maimed. The project had to more or less be restarted, the original lab having been demolished for the most part by the out of control beast. Gavin chose to retire from the company then, having no reason to carry on with such a project now that the only creature he could call family was more than likely destroyed. After a few months he couldnt help to return to the old and demolished lab. as he arrived he was stunned to see part of the lab standing. He rushed in to find Clu was still in stasis, slumbering in the chamber and waiting to be awakened again. He made sure to clear her first few memories so as to stop her from going into battle mode once she was awake, but he planned to bring her home and raise her like his own. He's kept her origins a secret from her for the most part, but as they've been living in town he's aware its getting more difficult to have Clu be more like a teenager and less like a weapon of war. He spends his days keeping track of Clu and making sure she doesnt get too out of hand, not afraid to shut her down if she crosses paths she shouldn't.
