(outfit like the picture) ~*~
It had been a long day for the pink-haired vampiress, but it had also been a good day. So far she'd managed to sign up for classes without issue thanks to a little help from Arya and Marcus. She'd decided to pursue a degree in music. She didn't know what use she would have for it, but at least it gave her something to do and she loved DJing, so maybe some musical theory wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Maybe she could become a music teacher or something if all else failed?
After getting all her supplies for classes and stuff and getting it all back home to Arya's, she'd texted Finnley to ask if he wanted to meet her at a local coffee shop to catch up. After all, he should be starting classes right around now as well. Besides, she wanted to test a theory she had. So she compelled the person making coffee to take the small vial of blood handed to her and slip it into her friend's coffee when they placed their order. She'd had one of the pets try it out and they didn't notice much because the coffee was quite bitter on its own. Sure, it would probably taste a bit funny, but hopefully he wouldn't realize why.
When she saw her friend approaching, she placed their orders, really hoping he wouldn't notice too much and that it would work like she hoped it would. She really wanted to see if she could help her friend. Bringing their cups to the table, she sat down and waited for her friend to join her.

Finnley hadn't really been expecting an invite from Gale. He had been working on brushing up on the hunter skills the vampire had taught him, but other than that he didn't think there would be much contact. Sure he still talked, well texted, Gale, he just didn't physically see her as much. So the call to the coffee shop as a bit of a surprise. Dressing himself, he made his way over, unaware of whatever the young vampire could have up her sleeve. Walking into the shop he looked around, mostly trying to find the pink head of hair that was Gale over someone shouting at him and he not hearing. WHen seeing her, a bit of a relax to sign hello showed itself, the blond making it blend into his movements some to spare him on some level. He sat down, having not really expected for her to have coffee cups ready for them. "Hey Gale, long time no see."He sat down with his bright smile, his speech level normal for the most part as he was starting to relax into the situation. He did just love to go places like this, remembering he would be having a date around him sometime. He took a sip of his coffee then, finding it had a bit of an odd taste but assumed it was just the coffee. Outfit

So she knew that they didn't exactly have the kind of friendship that required them to meet up and catch up ever now and again, but Amelita worried about him. She wanted to make sure the human settled in alright and that he was keeping up with his training. The last thing she wanted was for him to be afraid of walk around town because of all the supernaturals around. After all, it hardly seemed fair how she'd dumped all the information on him like that.
"How have you been?" she asked, smiling slightly after replying to his greeting. Sure, they'd been texting, but she couldn't really help trying to see if she could give him a small gift for not trying to kill her over how she'd scared him earlier in the summer. It still nagged her that she'd actually gone and scared a human that much, she didn't particularly enjoy hurting people after all. The people she had hurt after being turned had been times when she'd been hungry and lost control over someone bleeding or something.

Finnley took another sip from his coffee s he watched Gale's lips. He still really couldn't figure out what tasted so strange about if, unble to help put the cup down n opening the lid to look inside. He was talking as he did so, his tone staying low enough not to catch attention. "I've been good, lots of doctor visits and school preparation." He looked at the contents of his cup with a frown just finding black coffee. It smelt a bit different too, almost irony. He ended up acting a bit of sugar to try and fix the flavor. He could usually drink black coffee, but something want right about this one.

Gale watched Finnley try to figure out what was wrong with his coffee, but as long as he didn't learn the truth right away and freak out it was fine. It was good to know everything seemed to be going alright, even if he had a lot of doctor's appointments. Hopefully her little experiment would save him a little trouble. And hopefully she wouldn't lose a friend over it.
When Finnley added sugar to the coffee, Gale couldn't help the giggle that escaped her from the look on his face as he tried to work it all out. "Everything alright?" she asked after gently nudging him to get his attention. Maybe spiking his coffee hadn't been the best of ideas... She should have gone for something that was better at hiding that metallic taste. Not that she could think of anything that disguised the texture better than coffee.

Finnley didn't look up as she talked to him, having not heard her giggle. He looked up when he was touched, looking to have a confused expression still as he tasted the coffee to see if that helped. It wasn't so weird but still had an odd flavor to it. He just stared for a moment, thinking something was off with him now but just spoke. "This coffee just tastes a bit weird. Like there's something with Iron in it? its..." his face looked to go blank for a minute, leaning back in the chair and just focusing. He felt he was losing it but he could have just sworn he was hearing muffled noises, like he had lots of cotton in his ears. His eyes almost looked scared in his confusion as he could hear chatter like mumbling and things moving like they were very far away from him. He didn't know what was going on and it was honestly scaring him.

Amelita was watching the human carefully. It was obvious he had picked up more on the taste than she'd expected. She was just hoping he wouldn't freak out too much. Watching him though, the moment his expression changed, she knew it was time to get out of there before it was too late. "Come, let's go," she said and decided it would be good to bring his coffee along just to be on the safe side.
It seemed to have worked to some extent and she wanted Finnley to adjust slowly rather than just having it thrown at him in the middle of a crowded place. Grabbing his arm, she gently helped him to his feet and pulled him after her out of the coffee shop. She realized there were no really good places in town to explain as a car just passed by them. Pulling him into an alley, she turned to face Finnley to make sure he understood her, she said quietly: "Hold your breath for a moment."
Before the human had a chance to really react to what she was doing, she'd picked him up and placed him over her shoulder before she ran as fast as she could to the outskirts of the forest. It would be quiet there and he could yell and freak out all he wanted. Putting the human down carefully, she stepped back and bit her lip because she was nervous as to how he'd take it all.

Finnley was slowly starting to feel panic take over. The muffled sounds were starting to get loud, his body starting to shake with the apparent rising volume. He jumped at what he thought was whispering from Gale, looking at her a bit wide eyed before she led him outside. He followed, body shaky but things only went worse as a car flew past them. He was used to just feeling the air push him when cars moved by, but he heard the engine roar seeming to be like a gunshot to him as he jumped and looked ready to cower. He felt the need to run as Gale pulled him to an alley, eyes starting to tear up and he wasn't exactly one to cry. "The hell is going on with me!?" He was covering his ears, barely making out what Gale had asked of him before holding his breath with just being heaved up followed by running. Finnley may have been holding his breath but he felt as if the air had been sucked out of his lungs when they stopped, nothing stopping him from stumbling to fall back when he was put down. It was quieter out here but he couldn't help to keep crying as he didn't have the comforting silence he'd had for the last five-six years. He was almost pulling at his hair, screaming as he heard his voice clearly now. "I can hear, why can I hear!!!" weeping blue eyes looked up at Gale desperate for an answer, getting to his feet shakily but keeping his ears covered.

She was starting to wonder if she'd made a mistake when she tried to help out her friend. All she'd wanted was to give him a gift and she was curious if it would actually work. He'd accepted her for what she was, even after she'd freaked him out. And this was how she'd repaid him? By freaking him out?
When he looked so desperate for an answer, Gale took at step back. "It was your coffee..." she whispered. She didn't want to speak too loudly out of fear of freaking him out further. There was a reason she had chosen to take him to the woods after all, it should be fairly quiet and void of loud noises.
"I just wanted to give you a gift..."

Finnley had large tears rolling down his face as he was trying to understand. He had his ears covered trying to muffle the sounds around him, just wanting silence. He saw gale step back, blue eyes looking up at her when hearing what she whispered. So he had been right about the coffee. He was rising to his feet, panic slowly turning into a rage that boiled in the pit of his stomach. Hs words started out screaming at first but turned into angry hisses due to his hearing being so sensitive now. "A gift?! The hell did you give me gale!!! Answer me!!!" He looked near ready to swing at her, his tears no longer scared but angry. What was she thinking trying to fix something he was still debating on doctors going in to repair? He'd been deaf for years now and had been comfortable with it. Who had a right but himself to think of fixing it?

She knew she had made a terrible mistake when she saw how upset Finnley was. This had never been her intention at all, she'd hoped he wouldn't be so angry with her. "It should only be temporary, I don't think you got enough in your system for anything else..." The vampiress decided to remain where she was now and let the human take his anger out on her if that's what he wanted. The last thing she'd ever wanted was to hurt him.
"I thought you'd be happy... I didn't even know if it would work, my kind's healing is a bit unpredicted at times..."

Flinnley normally had. Decent control of his temper, but he was scared and unprepared for what was happening to him at the moment. He was slowly starting to see red when Gale said this was temporary, still not explaining just what he had been given. He was still learning about supernatural things, but it was all starting to crumble on him as everything was loud and very alarming to him. "That doesn't answer my question! WHAT DID YOU GIVE ME!" He had hot tears rolling down his face, blue eyes glaring at the vampire before hearing about wanting him happy and healing from vampires being unpredictable. His fingers clenched tightly before he gave a strong punch aim at at Gale's stomach. He'd been known to knock the wind out of others along with knocking them clean out, but he had no idea what he could do the vampire he was furious at as he swung again, screaming. "Happy?! I'VE BEEN DEAF FOR SIX YEARS!!I WAS FUCKING OKAY WITH BEING DEAF BUT NO ONE EVER LISTENS TO ME!!" He began to throw punches blindly then, tears blurring his vision but he could hear when hits missed or landed, not caring where he hit her as his rage, frustration, and fear took control.

Gale could honestly say she'd never seen the human so angry before. She remained in her place though as he was yelling at her. She didn't even move when he landed a punch at her stomach like that. It was obvious she had made a mistake judging by how upset Finnley. If she hadn't been a vampire, the punch would have knocked her out most likely, as it was she barely took a step backwards.
A tear rolled down her cheek as she stood still and took the beating while the human yelled at her. Finally, she grabbed Finnley's hand as he was about to land another punch. She instantly let go again though, looking at the boy. "Please stop," she said quietly, and stepped away from him. Before Finnley could do anything else to her, she climbed the nearest tree and looked down at him from there.
"I was selfish, I didn't think about how it would make you feel," she said, wiping angrily at her eyes. Pulling her knees to her chest, Gale leaned against the trunk of the tree. Even after being a vampire for nearly a year now, she still had a lot to learn and in most circles would still be considered a newborn. She lacked the grace of older vampires as well as their knowledge. So she could be rather tactless at times.

Finnley didn't stop with hits or shouting until Gale caught his hand. He looked at her with blurred eyes, hearing her clearly ask him to stop. He let her run up a tree, not swinging or trying to go after her, but he was still severely upset with the vampire still. He looked at her, the tears starting to slow down and his body beginning to adjust to having its missing sense back for the time being. Her words sounded really loud to him, but he didn't care as he moved closer to the tree. He didn't try to climb nor try to knock her out of it, realizing she knew her mistake. Finnley wasn't sure he could forgive her though, his eyes looking down at the ground as his voice shook to answer. "That's the thing, no one considers how I feel about this. They've asked if i wanted to hear again, but its always scared me, but it scares me never to hear again either. I'm constantly torn about it and this...this was like putting me under the knife Gale." He gave a shaky breath as he moved to sit at the base of the tree, unable to help cover his ears as he thought. All the new sounds were still startling to him, his body jumping here and there but this place not nearly as loud as the city. Finnley was just quiet for a moment before speaking up, eyes closed as he did so. "Next time ask when you have an idea to help me. doing this...it makes it hard to trust you..."

It seemed the pink haired vampires wasn't meant to truly fit in anywhere. She wasn't human, so she didn't fit in amongst them on a regular basis. She was new to being a vampire so in most cases she wasn't welcome around others. None of her families truly wanted her either, and now she'd successfully alienated one of her first friends since being turned. Why couldn't she just learn to think before she acted and did stupid things like getting herself turned in the first place?
"I'm still getting used to this myself, I occasionally do stupid things without even thinking them through. It won't ever happen again, seeing how you reacted I don't know if I'd even give you my blood if it were the only thing that could save your life as a larger quantity would most likely bring back your hearing on a more permanent basis..." At least she was calm about it all. Almost indifferent. Living with Arya had changed her for the worse, she found it harder to return to her carefree and bubbly self than she had before. Even after moving to Damien she hadn't quite been able to get back to it.
Getting back on her feet, Amelita easily maintained her balance as she walked further out on the branch before jumping down and landing easily at her feet. She was in need of a good hunt, or at the very least run. "Can I show you one of my favorite places in the woods?" She asked quietly, not really sure if he'd follow her anywhere at the moment.
