Finny was in need of getting the siren part of him under control as of late. Since dating Beau it seemed to be wanting more and more control lately. The merman would have none of that though and chose to pick up a few extra shifts at the grill. He knew dancing wasn't exactly the most decent thing to do in this town but he didn't want to push his wolf into anything he wasn't ready for yet.
Wearing blue heels, a white mini-skirt, and a white tube top, the siren had made his way onto the stage. He had chosen to keep his face rather uncaring for the night as this whole dancing thing was starting not to sit right with him. As he moved though and men started to seem all too absorbed in staring, the siren part of him was able to take a little control as the routine went on. He just had to keep remembering it's either this or be hurt again.
He finished his dance and gave a mostly faked flirty smile to the near roaring crowd of men before making his way back to the dressing room. The manager asked him what was wrong but the siren waved it off as nothing for the sake of not letting the guy get involved in his personal life. He went to the back corner to change when the manager told him that there was someone here to see him. The siren looked confused as to who could want him but made quick work of changing back into his clothes so as to satisfy his curiosity. Finny walked his way out to the bar with his phone in hand about to text beau as he waited for whoever it was that wanted to see him. He just hoped it wasn't one of the freaks of the place trying to take him home again.Outfit

With the winter and dark nights fast approaching, Beau had found himself tucked away at the back of his brother’s shop much more often than usual. From outside, the small shop lights gave of a hazy, warm glow across the slight fog covered streets. Beau stood with his palms pressed to the cold glass, his breath clouding up the window in front of him as he watched one by one as the other shop lights went out. Seconds later, he had shifted his way between the C aisles and past the pile of instruments that needed fixing and stood staring down at the old Les Paul someone had brought in. He blinked at it a few times before picking it up and putting it next to the ‘to do’ pile. It was getting late and there was somewhere else he wanted to be. Shuffling back to the back room where he had spent most of the day curled up next to the fire sniffling, he sighed loudly to catch his brother’s attention and allowed himself to slide down the wall until he landed with a bump which actually caused him to yelp slightly. From the corner, hidden behind piles of paper work he had been trying to put off, Sammy groaned and tore his eyes away from his work for a moment to see what his younger brother was doing. “ Beau… You do know that I’m not forcing you to stay. You can go when you want, stop thinking I can’t handle this on my own and go have fun.” Beau grinned with his eyes lighting up in glee before he jumped to his feet and rushed across the floor to give his brother a cuddle. Yelling a quick goodbye, he rushed from the shop without so much of a glance back. Outside it was chilly and Beau found himself pulling his jumper on as he walked down the silent street that headed towards the local pub. Now Beau had never really been in a pub before, more often than not getting freaked out by the amount of people there was, but as Finny had mentioned previously that he had a small job there he figured there would be no harm in stopping to see how he was doing on his way past. On reaching The Grill he waited for a few minutes outside, unsure of when Finny was meant to be finishing. He could hear the cheers and rather inappropriate noises the men were making inside and it made him shudder. He hated it when men got rowdy or pervy after a few beers and had no idea why they even bothered to come out and make the untainted minds such as his own want to be sick with their annoying noises. Rant over, Beau shook his head and rolled his eyes at his own stupidity. They were only having fun right? Opening the door as though it had been contaminated with some indescribable, horrible lurgies and as though he was about to walk in to a zombie apocalypse, he nervously took his first steps inside. Of course, he whimpered slightly when he noticed just how many people had been packed in to the pub, most of which were old and staring at the stage that was lit up with a slight look in their eyes that unnerved Beau even more. Finally, he managed to push his way to the bar and capture the man’s attention who raised his eyebrow at the young wolf. Frowning, Beau asked where Finny was which seemed to make the man appear shocked before he gestured for Beau to wait in the corner as he rushed through the back. Finny made his way to where the door was that he assumed led to the staff room and stood patiently, giving an awkward smile to those that noticed him. After what seemed like an eternity, the door finally opened and Finny walked out. Beau’s eyes lit up as he practically jumped on the siren, his arms wrapping around him and nearly knocking them both to the floor. He was still getting used to how to greet in more normal ways. He didn’t want to let go but pulled his arms away anyway before gleaming down at the siren and pulling a small box from his pocket. He hadn’t told his brother the real reason he had wanted to leave earlier than usual but over the weekend he had decided to get Finny something. Nothing spectacular, just a small necklace he had found in an old antiques shop that had a tiny, silver rose with the smallest pearl he had ever seen in the centre of it. It had reminded Beau of Finny in many ways, mostly because it was beautiful but also because the small pearl reminded him of when Finny cried and he was able to hold him and cheer him up. The siren had remained beautiful throughout the whole awkward situation Beau had brought up which he still felt stupid for doing. Pushing these thoughts aside, he held it out to Beau with a wide grin, totally unaware that those that stood closest couldn’t take their eyes of the boy he wanted for himself. “ Sorry Finny… I should have told you I’d come see you but I missed you and I just wanted to surprise you… because… I missed you a lot?” The statement ended out being a slight question as though asking if that was a good enough reason. He was going to have to get used to calling before turning up but he still couldn’t get around his mobile phone after never owning one in his whole life until recently. He offered the siren a more nervous grin now and held a hopeful gleam in his eyes as he waited to see if his unexpected visit was Ok or not.

Finny wasn't sure of what to expect when he exited the dressing room. His eyes couldn't help to go wide in shock and his body freeze as be was nearly knocked over by his boyfriend. The siren wasn't expecting the wolf to show up at all and his mind went into panic mode. The manager for the dancers could only chuckle, seeming to now see what was making the siren seem so different lately. He backed up a little bit from Beau as a box was presented to him. He still seemed mildly stressed as there were still eyes on him and some were even starting to look jealous with the wolf being so affectionate with the siren. "Beau please call next time...not a lot of people here know I'm with you and-" He was cut off as his manager walked over with the money that the siren had earned tonight, the stack of ones making him pale some. He really needed to get better about collecting it. "Here's for tonight's show. Oh and Adonis I'd recommend getting him out of here before some of your fans get angry." Finny only nodded before grabbing hold of Beau's hand and trying to get him out of there as fast as he could. "I'll explain when we get to my apartment okay? There's something about this job I didn't tell you about..." He was stopped by one of his 'fans', a big bulking human that had a thing for the pretty siren when he danced. He was trying to sweet talk Finny into a private dance but he strongly refused, getting them out of there before he or beau could be grabbed at. He didn't know how to respond to any of this. His secret fix was revealed to his boyfriend and for the first time since dancing he felt shame.

There was something about the situation that made Beau uncomfortable. He could sense the siren was stressed and, glancing around, only now realised how many people were watching them. He stared at Finny and opened his mouth to apologise but was cut off by the man who was still stood with them though Beau felt he really didn’t need to be. Confused, he listened to the manager as he handed Finny a handful of notes and told the siren to get Beau out before the fans got angry. He didn’t have time to question anything before Finny had grabbed his hand and was dragging him back through the crowd.
His face fell as a rather bulky guy stepped up to Finny and started requesting he danced for him, feeling his temper rise as he watched Finny refuse his suggestion and let himself be pulled away again. He glared at the man until he could see him no more and was soon out on the street. He had heard Finny talking but hadn’t registered anything, he had been too trying his hardest to warn people of his boyfriend with growls and snarls but none of which seemed to work.
Once the ogling eyes of the customers were behind the closed door, he turned to Finny and quickly replaced his glare for a frown. Stopping himself and pulling Finny back to face him, he refused to go any further without some answers. “Finny, why were they looking at you like that? Why did that man give you money and what did he mean by fans? Why don’t they know you have someone already?” He spoke quietly, almost whispering as his frown disappeared and he struggled to hide how much this actually hurt him. “You do want to be with me don’t you?” He asked, though he struggled to get the words out as he feared what the reply would be.
None of it made sense. Something was going one and it didn’t take a scientist to see that. The way the people were watching Finny’s every move like he was a piece of meat made Beau feel physically sick, hardly unable to believe that Finny didn’t even seem to mind. He stared at Finny through wide eyes and wanted to let himself ask all the questions he wanted but he couldn’t find his words.

Finny didn't realize he had been holding his breath until they had gotten outside. He was going to start making a mad dash for his apartment when Beau had stopped and mad the siren face him. His eyes couldn't help to tear up at seeing how upset the other was. The questions weren't helping either as he seemed to shake where he stood. He felt extremely filthy now with guilt and actually having been so desperate to go through with such a job just so he could control the siren in him.
"I...I'm not part of the bar staff there, they look at me like that because...I-I'm a stripper..."
He couldn't help to start actually letting the tears roll down his face. He hated to use that term as it just made him feel so low. He had a wonderful daytime job at the sushi bar but this, this was just a quick fix he knew would never last long.
"I d-dance and make them all look at me so I don't let the siren in me win...i get these urges s-since I lost my virginity and I don't want to hurt you with it and-and I'm so sorry I didn't tell you..."
He had a river of tears flowing down his face as he just moved to hug Beau. He didn't want to cause people hurt but it seemed this was all just going wrong.

Beau hated how Finny’s eyes started to water, his heart stammering for a second as he resisted the urge to brush the sirens hair from his face and pull him closer so he could just hold him. He started to grow impatient but he didn’t show it as he didn’t want the siren to hurt any more. He couldn’t have prepared himself for what the siren said next, Beau feeling like he’d been viciously kicked in the stomach as the whole world around him appeared to come to a standstill.
He stared at the siren, his mouth hung open in shock and his eyes wide. Did he just hear that right? It didn’t make sense and Beau didn’t want to believe it but the look on Finny’s face confirmed his words had been true. He couldn’t think of anything to say other than to stare at the siren in horror as it all sunk in. He couldn’t even describe how much the thought of other people setting their perverted eyes on Finny made his skin crawl and his blood boil. He felt betrayed and hurt more than he ever though humanly possible. But being reasonable, there had to be a reason right? Of course there was.
He listened as Finny tried to explain his motives for such work but Beau shook his head, pushing the young siren back as the other gave in to his tears and moved in to hug him. It wasn’t the fact that what Finny was doing felt wrong, especially as he’d thought Finny was happy and didn’t need that kind of attention, but it was the fact Finny had lied.
Choking back his own tears, he looked at the floor, unable to bring himself to look at the siren out of fear that he may snap at him when that was the last thing he wanted to do. He needed to know why. Why he wasn’t enough and why Finny hadn’t told him to start off with. “Finny… you’ve already hurt me. You lied to me… but why? Why did you keep all of this from me? You have a secret life where I’m not good enough… Is that it?” He could feel his anger growing as his own tears trickled down his cheeks and he had to clench his fists to give him something to do with his hands instead of lashing out at everyone behind that door.

Finny wasn't surprised when he was pushed away, though it did make him cry more. He could see the shock and tears in the orher's eyes and it just broke his heart. He flinched away at the questions, wrapping his arms around him and looking very much scared and guilty.
"I was afraid you'd hate me for it, but now I know it was stupid to not tell you...you're the best thing to happen since I got here but-but the siren part of me...it's this sex-crazed monster and-and this is the only way I can control it! I don't want to push this onto you and end up just hurting you more..."
He was just a sobbing mess now, his crying making the manager finally step out. Finny just ended up shooting him a dirty look, making the man walk back in and know he had to keep the "fans" inside. Finny took a few hesitant steps forward, his eyes so upset and hating seeing Beau like this.
"I'll quit if you w-want me to please don't leave me...I'll find another way to stop it...but I need you I-I...."
He choked back a sob as he just couldn't bring himself to say it. He's been a fool thinking any of this could have stayed hidden long, and now here it was all out in the open.

Finny’s actions only made Beau feel worse as he watched the young siren hug his arms around his own body as tears streamed from his eyes and stained his cheeks. Beau’s expression softened at the sight but inside he still felt sick as he listened to Finny try to explain. He didn’t understand fully and wasn’t sure if he even wanted too. Sure he’d heard about sirens in story books before but this was different to what he had been led to believe. He didn’t know what to think or if he even wanted to think about it.
As the door opened and the man that had given Finny the cash walked out, he looked away, using all the effort he had to stop himself throwing himself at him and seeing how quickly he looked at Finny then. He wanted to hurt every single one of them but through the deep breathes he took and hearing Finny’s pleas, he remained where he stood and concentrated on the sirens words instead.
He didn’t move away as the siren stepped closer though felt his body tense. He didn’t want it to be this way. “But you promised me you’d tell me if you were ever unhappy Finny... I could never hate you for anything but you lied to me! You were the best thing to happen to me too but we can’t carry on like this…” He sighed and looked away now with gritted teeth, fearing he’d start crying himself if anything ever happened to the two of them. He looked back down the street to where the forest lie and his home on the other side of it wanting nothing more than to run away right now and be alone. Inside the pub he could hear the muffled laughter and music and scowled, his skin still crawling at the thought of everyone one of them watching Finny as the boy danced for them.
Wiping at his eyes, he unclenched his fists and reached out for Finny, pulling him a little rougher than he meant to until his body was pressed against the others and his arms wrapped around him in a protective way. As he spoke, he managed to keep his voice strong and unmoving, not wanting to give his pain away so easily. That could wait until later when he was alone. Right now, he just wanted to see the siren’s tears stop. “I can’t tell you what to do Finny, that isn’t my job. My job is to make you happy and be there for you but I can’t do that if you keep secrets from me. Finny, I have been nothing but truthful to you and would never hide anything from you… especially nothing like this. How did you expect me to feel? Just… just do what makes you happy Finny. If you’re happy doing this then I’ll try being happy for you.”

Finny had let his hands move up to cover his face as he cried. He just wanted to run away and hide in his bathtub. He didn't want to make Beau hurt and he didn't like lying before hand but he just didn't know what else to do. He flinched away at hearing the distress and knowing he had made the wolf mad with keeping something like this from him, making more of the tears leak from his eyes. He was nearly ready to just run off before the wolf finally pulled him close. It was mildly rough making the siren whine, but he didn't so much as move as he was held rather protectively. He seemed to stop breathing as he listened to what Beau said, his eyes going wide before looking up at the other. "I won't keep anything from you...never again! I-I don't want you hurting...."
He moved slowly to return the hug, seeming to hang onto the back of Beau's sweater of sorts as he just started to sob again. He knew the dancing didn't make him happy, only the wolf currently holding him was what made him happy. He worked to stop his sobbing as he just clung to the other, trying to keep his words clear.
"It...It doesn't though, i only do it to keep that m-monster in me from keeping c-c-control...That part of me could r-really hurt you...I'll-we can f-find a better way to control it...I don't want to lose you..."
Finny was seeming to calm down even the slightest touch, his body still clearly shaking as he may have dressed for fall, but not warm enough for the cold nights. He kept as close as he could to the other, not wanting to let go.

Beau’s eyes met Finny’s as the other looked up at him and he couldn’t help but not be angry. Disappointed yes, but he could never stay angry with Finny no matter how much he tried. He hoped Finny’s words were truthful knowing that without trust they could never make it work which he didn’t want it to come to that. He could do nothing but hold Finny close as the siren started to cry again and felt himself filling with guilt for snapping at him. Running his hand through the blonde locks, he pressed his lips against Finny’s head and tried to soothe him.
He didn’t understand completely but nodded his head at Finny’s words. He didn’t want to lose the siren, not at all. Still, one question played on his mind which he couldn’t shake off. “You just do what you have to Finny… I don’t want to lose you either but please don’t ever keep anything like this from me ever again. We can work through it, that’s what I’m here for… I just want to help… not have those sick people in there helping you. Do you know how much that hurts to know the person you love can’t turn to you, I only want to help and see you smile. How long would you have carried on doing this if I hadn’t found out?” He asked with his voice shaking. He kept his arms tightly around the siren and shivered slightly at how cold the other seemed. He had half a mind to take his jumper off and offer it to Finny but wanted his answer first.

Finny had developed hiccups from all his crying as he just allowed himself to be held. He felt a hand run through his hair and was a little shocked at feeling the kiss to his head. He thought the other was mad at him still, not letting go though as he heard. He had a few tears run down his cheek as he listened to Beau. he felt the guilt wash over him all over again at the question, feeling unable to look up at the wolf out of shame.
"Until i f-found another *hic* solution....I've been trying *hic* to test if magic could work but...*hic*...I can only stop my transformations...this *hic* wasn't something i wanted to k-keep doing....im sorry i'm s-*hic*uch a bad b-boyfriend...."
He hugged the other tighter but not as to stop from feeling cold but to get his point across. He felt bad for keeping that little secret from the wolf, he just wanted to make things right now.

Beau listened carefully to what Finny had to say, feeling himself tense up again though knew better than to let himself get wound up just yet. He would wait until he was alone before he let his anger get the best of him. The leery faces of the men inside the pub kept swimming in his mind as he clung to the young siren, almost as though taunting him to go back inside and do something he’d later regret.
He needed to think but his thoughts were all jumbled. He didn’t want to lose Finny, that would destroy him but he couldn’t take the way other people would look at his boyfriend in the street. Figuring now wasn’t the best time to think about these things, he sighed and shook his head. “You are not a bad boyfriend Finny. You just… you just need to have confidence in me and tell me these things. I can look after myself; you don’t need to worry about hurting me. I just wished you’d come to me rather than giving strange guys cheap thrills to satisfy you… I want to help you but I can’t if you aren’t willing to talk to me.”
He stopped his rambling realising it wasn’t going to get them anywhere whilst stood outside, late at night in the cold. Pulling himself away, he pulled his jumper off and wrapped it around Finny’s shoulders before gently taking the sirens face in the palm of his hands. “We’ll find something Finny, I promise you we will. Just don’t ever think you can’t tell me these things. And don’t think you’re going to hurt me. Please?” He leant forwards then, his lips meeting Finny’s in a gentle kiss before he pulled away and glanced down the street. “There is one more thing though… that is all you did for them right? I mean, the whole undressing thing… you didn’t do anything else did you?...”

The siren sniffled and did his best to try and stop his hiccups as he heard Beau. The wolf was right about thet and the shame feeling just stuck to his gut now as he let the words continue. He pulled away some so as to look up at Beau,a few hiccups still escaping his lips as he nodded in understanding. He was confused for a moment as the other took his sweater off, the siren surprised the wolf had wrapped it around him. He locked eyes with the other when his face was framed by the wolf's hands, his eyes trying not to water even the slightest touch.
"O-o-okay....I *hic*Promise to tell everything...."
Again the siren was taken aback by Beau being affectionate, his face going slightly rosy from the kiss and how warm the wolf was. He pulled the other into a hug again before looking up shocked at the wolf's next question. He shook his head no furiously, his words coming out as if disgusted by the thought of actually sleeping with those monsters in the bar.
"They were*hic* allowed to look. No one could touch m*hic*Me or take me anywhere. They're a-all just pigs in th-*hic* there...I only have eyes*Hic* for you Beau...only you...."
He them made to bury his face in the wolf's chest, drawing warmth and some means of calming down from doing so. He was still cold s bit and remembered he was going to bring Beau to his house to explain. He seemed scared to even ask if the other would want to go to his apartment. He knew he shouldn't be afraid and it would be warmed for the both of them.
"D-do you...still want t-*hic*to go to my apartment...? I'll a-answer *hic* anything you want to know...I don't *hic* want to go home alone t-tonight..."

Finny’s promise was enough to settle Beau’s mind a little. When someone made Beau a promise he put his faith in them. Having never broken a promise to date, it wasn’t something beau took lightly and wasn’t naïve enough to believe everyone else kept theirs too. Still, this was Finny and Finny wasn’t everyone else, he was the one person Beau knew wouldn’t lie or hurt him, at least not intentionally. He had made a mistake and everyone deserved one chance didn’t they. Deep down, Beau knew Finny hadn’t done this on purpose and there was no way he could hold it against him.
Listening to the siren anxiously, he had to admit that it was a relief to hear the no touch policy. He worried all the same though as not every place followed these rules, or at least the customers didn’t know how to. As the siren buried his head in beau’s chest, Beau placed his hands palm down against Finny’s arms and concentrated on keeping the warmth in. “I guess that’s good then… I just don’t want anyone getting the wrong ideas about you, that’s all. Look, if you have to work here then at least let me make sure you get home on the nights you do. Some of these people take things too far and I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if anything happened to you…” He explained with only concern in his voice.
On hearing the siren’s next question, Beau’s face lit up considerably, his usual warm smile and wide, sparkling eyes gleaming on his face. He hadn’t been to Finny’s since their first date and that had been kind of awkward. He had been a bag of nerves that hadn’t a clue which way to look or what to say. Nodding his head, he gave the siren another kiss against his forhead before taking the boy’s hand into his own. “Of course I still want to go to your silly, just because we had a tiff it doesn’t mean I’m going to leave you. Besides, I need to make sure you get home Ok. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t?” He replied with a grin, squeezing the sirens hand gently before he started to walk slowly in the direction of the apartment complexes.

Finny could feel hands on him, glad for the warmth that the sweater and Beau was providing. He was starting to stop with the hiccups as he heard the wolf speak. He didn't put up any sort of fuss with the other wanting to walk him home after work. He actually liked the idea as he was always scared someone from the bar would try to take him off somewhere and really hurt him.
"I work*hic* twice a week so it wont be too bad....thank*hic* you...."
He couldn't help to smile at seeing Beau's eyes light up at the question on going back to his apartment. He liked seeing the wolf happy over everything else but he didn't know if the other was still upset in some form until the wolf explained. The siren's eyes watered slightly more so out of the other no longer seeming upset than having everything come to the surface like that. He moved to cling to the wolf's arm after his hand was squeezed, glad that the worst seemed over with for the night.
When they reached his apartment he made sure to skip a little a head so as to quickly unlock his door. The instant it opened the smell of salt water seemed to rush out, relaxing the siren further. He tugged on the wolf's hand as he led him inside, seeming to shy up some.
"Sorry if the sea water smell is a bit over whelming. I had a sat bath before i left for classes this morning..."
He quickly moved to take his shoes off so as to not scuff up his floors. He seemed to just throw himself onto the plush white sofa, the sigh that left him seeming to be one of a less stressed siren.
