Ever since its inception, Bitter Springs has been a safe place for supernaturals to settle down and raise their families. Wards have kept most hunters away from town over the years and there's generally been a low tolerance for inter-species violence. When they're numbers were lower, vampires used to either bring with them pets to feed from or hunt outside of town to keep from starting a war with the witches or the werewolves.
Those were simpler times. Today the wards are failing, hunters have settled down in town or right outside of it, and the population has increased to the point where the council has to really work to get their people to follow the town charter. With modern technology and there being cameras on almost all cellphones, covering up the work of rogue werewolves or vampires is getting harder to do. It's harder to bury the story and blame a death on a regular animal attack if someone's already taken a picture of the body before the police could get to it.
With recent events, it seems the long period of peace the town has experienced is coming to an end. A powerful witch ran rampant through town, another was possessed by a demon and the werewolves were approached by a foreign pack seeking to burn the city to the ground while reclaiming two of their own, all these events have brought unwanted attention to the town. More humans are learning about the existence of the supernatural world by accident, the ancient order of Equilibrium has turned its focus on the town to monitor the developments in town and ancient powers are drawn to the powers released on the battlefield when all those wolves were killed. No one knows exactly what is coming, but a few of the more powerful creatures in town can feel that something is approaching.
Do you dare to stay in town with this looming, unknown threat? Or do you leave it all behind until the danger has passed?
