It had been awhile since he had went to the grill. Since becoming a council member, running a pack and being a father pretty much had the wolf busy as hell. He had dropped Kailah off with Amanda's parents, course he had told them what had been going on with Amanda and they were even worried now about their daughter. He talked with them and just left, he didn't want to get yelled at about anything by her parents, it wouldn't only add more to his stress. His stress level had sky rocketed ever since Mason and him had that huge fall out, now a pack of killer werewolves were coming to Bitter Springs so he had to worry about that. After another council meeting, he headed to the grill in desperate need to a drink. He sat down at the bar, looking at the bartender who just cocked an eyebrow at the wolf who looked like he hadn't gotten a day of sleep. Vodka. He simply said, watching the barman prepare his drink and set it out in-front of him.

outfit~*~ It seemed yet again her maker had sent her to where she could do most use for him and she didn't mind. Sure, she doubted Marcus would return with the imminent threat of the werewolf pack, if he even knew, but she could still get to know a few things to use against the stuck up bastard. Besides, if the end had come, rather it be in a fight than by some idiotic hunter that didn't stop to ask questions. Alice rather enjoyed the grill and the redhead had dressed for yet another visit to get a drink. Heals clicked against the hard floor as she made her way to the bar. It didn't even occur to her that there was a werewolf right next to her when she ordered her tequila sunrise. She'd had enough of the overly sweet rum-based drinks for a while and wanted the sharper taste of the tequila. Besides, she wanted to fit in more among people looking to be her age and she couldn't go around drinking hard liquor on its own. "You know... The shit storm coming this way isn't going to go away just because you don't get enough sleep," she chuckled lightly at the wolf and merely smiled at the bartender when her drink was done. She didn't have to be on some town council to know about what was coming; vampires were suckers for gossip. News traveled fast, especially as far as wolf packs went as the vampires tended to either run away or ambush them when the time came for a confrontation.

He did need to get some sleep, him being up day and night wasn't a good thing. He had been practicing with his pack, trying to get the young ones ready for the upcoming fight that could be a matter of life and death. The young ones were terrified naturally and Jack wondered if maybe he should have them just stay on the sidelines, but at the same time he couldn't be a softy when it comes to times like this...they had to learn to fight, no matter how scared they were.
He blinked and looked to the vampiress that had spoken, he couldn''t help but to rub his eyes, smearing some of his eyeliner and sigh, taking a gulp of the vodka before asking for another.
You try running a pack, getting younglings together and be on a council and worry about this town in a matter of less than a week. He replied and sigh.

Alice couldn't help but smirk slightly at the werewolf's reaction to her words. Even more so at his response. Frankly, Alice couldn't care less why the wolf wasn't sleeping or how busy he got, she wanted to know if he had a plan. "From what I hear, you're all going to die here by the end of the week. But that might just be the rumor-mill going crazy." Sipping her drink through the straw, she looked at the wolf over her glass, clearly amused.
"It doesn't matter how well you train the younglings if that's all they are thinking about." Quite frankly, by the sound of things it sounded like he needed help dealing with everything, but she wasn't going to volunteer. No, she had better things to do.. Like not be in town when the pack arrived. Sure, she enjoyed being on good terms with her maker, but that didn't mean she'd risk her life to stop a pack of killer wolves when her assignment wasn't even in town.
"Either way really it's not my fight, so I'll stay out of it. I make it a habit to know enough about my opponent so it doesn't have to come to fights, though I don't think you'll have much of a choice this time..."

What she said next only made him alittle angry, he merely gripped the vodka glass and felt it crack underneath grip but he didn't say anything, taking the new shot that the barman had given him before gulping it down.
I don't quite remembering asking you on your opinion on all this. He added, glaring at her now and asked for another shot.
He wasn't in the mood right now to be dealing with a vampire who needed to really just keep her mouth shut right now. He merely said nothing now, picking up the phone and started talking to someone on the other end. No......she has to stay there till this thing is over with......I don't her in Bitter Springs okay.....I know.........please just keep her safe okay......tell her that daddy loves her and I'll see her soon okay......thanks bye. He said and hung up, pinching the bridge between his eyes and sigh.

It was obvious she was angering the werewolf, but she was only speaking the truth. If he couldn't handle the truth, he shouldn't be in a bar to begin with. She was about to say something else when she heard what was being said on the phone. From what she understood, the wolf was now worried he wouldn't see his daughter again after this was all over.
"You'll see her again," she said with a slight smile, trying to cheer up the werewolf. Why she was even caring so much was beyond her, but she really only wanted to fit in for the time being so she could best help take back something from Marcus. "If you need any help convincing folks to go on vacation, that's about all I can do about this all."
Drinking her drink, Alice turned away from the werewolf and offered one last piece of advice. "If you think you're not gonna make it, you won't. Positive outcomes only."

What scared Jack the most was the thought of not seeing Kailah again...her growing up and he wouldn't be there physically, emotionally or mentally for her and wouldn't watch her grow up from a baby to the beautiful young woman he knew she would become.
It took alot to not make the wolf actually break down in tears till the vampiress actually had something good to say. He looked at her, sighing softly.. I hope so. He said softly.
He nodded. Yeah....its about the only thing I can think of.... He added and shook his head.
The vampires words made him rethink some now. Yeah I know........but hey if I don't make it......then I can at least say that I tried. He said.

Yes, the werewolf really needed some cheering up before he could go into battle with this foreign pack that was for sure. As he was right now he wasn't ready for any life or death situation. So she'd make it her personal goal to make him ready for the fight, regardless of whether he wanted her help or not. All because she wanted to make sure Marcus would return to the small town and she could really have a word with him without Damien or Talbot being around.
"You'd really be surprised where you can find allies if you really look. I'm Alice," she said, offering her hand for a shake. The least she could do was be civil to the wolf who'd lead the defenses of the town. "I have some favors to cash in from some witches in town, maybe I can convince them to help somehow. Mind you, I'm so not doing this as a favor to you, I have a reputation to keep and reasons of my own to want this place to survive." She couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the end there.
Vampires were supposed to be stuck-up and arrogant, why not live up to people's expectations, or at least try to. She was smarter than most anyone, so why not take advantage.

He knew that going into battle with negative thoughts was a bad thing, he needed to think on more positive outcomes.....and thoughts if he was going to protect Bitter Springs and see his daughter again. He smiled. Jack. He said simply, shaking her hand and went back to drinking his drink, deciding to hold off on getting drunk.
He cocked an eyebrow at her offer. Well if you think it'll help. He said. Whatever her reasons were, they were none of his business so he wasn't going to pry or guess any motive she had.

Alice just smiled when she learned the other's name. At least she had a name to go with the face and to use whilst asking for her favor. Though, on second thought the witches might not need to be asked to help considering this was their home town as well. Maybe she was the only one who really needed convincing, but she wasn't gonna stay and fight anyway due to the whole deadly bite thing.
"Anything to give an old friend a place to return to." she said with a chuckle before she finished her drink. Signalling to the bartender for another, she couldn't quite help her curiosity. "Whatever did you do to anger this pack so that they'll come all this way?"
It really did have her curious how a small town pack could have angered an infamous pack like this one to the point where the small town was in danger of complete annihilation.

He sigh at her question, wondering if he should tell a complete stranger of the reasons. He looked at her now, pushing his glass back towards the barman to take away and said. These two brothers who are werewolves are on the run from this pack and they came here to Bitter Springs to hide out...well...the oldest brother had joined my pack but the pack that wants to kill us found out where they are and when the brothers hide out in a town, the pack comes and destroy the town and everyone in it.... He said.
Even if she went and told someone and one of the council members found out, it wasn't as if the council could kick the two brothers out and even if they did or try to, it would prove no purpose...the pack would still come and kill everyone for even helping the brothers. I have already called my allies from Romanian...I used to belong to a ancient pack there.....they are alot stronger and bigger than most wolves so they will become of great help. He said.

It was fascinating really to learn how the pack was heading there to begin with. Some people were still so stuck in the past that they couldn't let go of barbaric ways. Even most vampire covens had moved on from the slaughter of entire towns just for the thrill of it. Sure, there were still some of them left, but they were generally shunned by others as they didn't want to be associated with them.
"Well, it's good to have allies that can help. It's good to know that some traditions are still in use," she smiled and sipped her drink. If she'd been able to bring people to help, she would've, but as it was none of her friends or allies were likely to help a small town from a pack of werewolves. As a general rule, vampires stayed away from anything wolfy.
"I'm sure these brothers didn't mean to bring them here, surely if you get enough people to help they'll still be allowed to stay after it's all over."

He just shrugged at her words and took out a pack of smokes, placing one between his lips and lighted it up. He needed some nicotine right now to calm his nerves, he usually turned to alcohol first but decided that getting drunk with all this going on wasn't a good idea. Well even if the council didn't want them to stay, they have no choice in the matter...the brothers are in my pack so I decide if they leave or not. He said.

When the wolf pulled out a pack of smokes, Alice frowned slightly and turned more away from the wolf. "Regardless of what the council thinks, you really need to lay off the smokes, what with your daughter and all. It's not healthy for children to see their parents' bad habits." She chuckled. It wasn't good for his health either, though he didn't need to hear that from her.
There was nothing else they could do but let the brothers stay, whether or not the pack actually hurt someone. If the brothers had been accepted, they couldn't be turned away as it wasn't like they'd asked to be followed by the killers. "Well, I'll work on my witchy friends, I'm sure they can be of some use somehow. As for the brothers, I'm sure you'll be able to convince your colleagues to let them stay regardless of the outcome." He cocked an eyebrow at what she said. Most people would have gone off on someone who tried to give parental advice when clearly the adviser wasn't a parent themselves, but he merely inhale deeply and blew the smoke in her direction, placing the cancer stick in between his lips and drummed his fingers on the table.
Well even if they were to leave...that pack would still be bent to destroy this town....so making them leave wouldn't prove any purpose and it would only make other towns like our suffer. He said.
