Duncan heard the wince of pain from Alec, then the man starting to drag the boy away before finally opening the door. he moved quick and presicely as he had swung the broom right into the man's face, hearing the wooden handle hit teeth as the man had been talking on and on about past boys the man hand and his plans for Alec. The words had made Duncan sick, taking the moment though to grab Alec and pull the boy behind him once the man let go to check that his teeth hadn't been knocked out. He could smell the blood, learning the man had hit the boy hard enough to make him bleed. This seemed to annoy the blind teen as he ended up using the broom like a fencer would a sword for a moment. the man had grabbed at the broom and was pulling Duncan closer to him, but the teen had seen such a move coming and once again landed a strong hit to the man's face. The broom was released by the man, Duncan using it now to trip the man to falling onto the side walk. Said man groaned as his nose and mouth was bleeding and his face very much bruised.

"And that is why you leave little ones alone ya bastard."

He gestured for Alec to follow him, first putting the broom back in the flower shop before taking off into the shopping center. People were shocked to see the bleeding creep on the ground but Duncan didn't care as he wanted to get as far from the man as possible.

The hit hurt, he could taste something warm and metallic in his mouth and felt it run down his chin. A few people who were passing by gasped and some even had their phones out, getting ready to call the police. He felt himself being yanked away from the man and watched as Duncan defended the man off, making the pervert fall to the ground and lay their in a groaning heap.

He couldn't help but to rub his sore cheek, winching some and was suddenly grabbed along by Duncan. Where are we going? He asked.

Duncan was making a path directly out of the shopping center and to the park where they had one of the better kept public gardens. He had caught that Alec as asking where they were going, but he didn't stop until greeted by the smell of winter flowers. He took a deep breath before letting go of Alec's arm, just falling into the patch of flowers with a sigh.

"Safest play is where the grass is greener so to speak. Though i doubt the creep would even try to follow after being beaten by a blind boy."

he couldn't help to chuckle at that, putting his arms under his head and looking to stare up at the sky with sightless eyes.

Alec had no idea where Duncan was going to take him, but anywhere would be better than here. He followed the others lead, winching some at the slight throb on his cheek from where he was slapped. Once they stopped, he finally looked around at their surroundings. They weren't even near the shopping center anymore.

He listened to what Duncan said, smiling some and hissed slightly in pain. He very calmly laid down beside of the blind man and turned on his side away from him. He cradled his wounded cheek and wished that the guy didn't hit him like that.

Duncan had let his eyes slide closed as he just laid there. He could have remained like that for the rest of the day, but the sound of a pained hiss before Alec choose to lay down on the ground with him. He could feel that the other's back was facing him based on when he set his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Mind if I 'see' how bad he hit you?"

Duncan wasn't asking this out of curiosity of seeing a wound with his hands but actually out of concern. He had been hit in the face before when he used to have to steal and cheat to get something as simple as food, making him decent on having to deal with these kind of hits.

The guy must have not held back or something....guess that was how he got his little boy toys to stay in line. The thought of being that perverts play thing made him sick to his stomach and he was glad that Duncan was there. Alec always tried to stand up for himself, sometimes it worked and other times he was merely to weak physically to take on anything that was ten times bigger and stronger than he was.

He turned his head some to see at Duncan when the other asked if he could see how badly he hurt him. He nodded, turning around to face the other and bite his lower lip.

Duncan ended up siting up, motioning for Alec to do the same. He was sitting facing the other, having thankfully felt the shift of the boy's hair against his hand when he had placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, so he knew he had permission to "see" the bruises. Very carefully, Duncan brought both his hands up to Alec's jawline first, his touch also nothing as his senses were hyper sensitive to everything, touch included. he was only using the very tips of his fingers as he stared on blankly at the other, eyes clouded but bright in their blue color.He was feeling across both of Alec's cheeks, stopping when he could feel the bruising forming just beneath the skin on one.he applied the slightest touch more pressure to see just how deep it was before pulling away with a frown.

"You need ice for that right away. Guess a trip to the dorms is needed after all."

Standing, Duncan held a hand out to Alec, willing enough to help the boy stand before walking to te highschool dorms that werent all that far.

He felt goosebumps at the feeling of the others finger tips barely brushing across his skin and winched visibly when Duncan applied some pressure where his bruises were. He blinked at what the other said and watched as he stood up. He took Duncan's hand in his and got up, dropping the others hand and sigh softly.

The dorm? He said and cocked an eyebrow.

Duncan was walking at a rather quick pace, keeping his ears alert enough to make sure as to not lose Alec onto the way to the dorms.

"I stay in the highschool dorms. We don't have to do to my actual dorm, just the lobby. We should be able to get you some ice there."

Did this boy really not know the high school had dormitories? Duncan was rather thankful for them as they had let him in with little fee needing to be paid, and its not like living there was bad. Sure on many nights he wished the students above or below his dorm would cut with the noise but he liked living there.

He didn't know about the dorms, mainly because he had never had any use for dorms. His parents loved him dearly, so they would never really kick their precious baby boy out into the streets. He just followed Duncan and covered his bruise up with his hand, not wanting everyone to gauke. Okay...... He said.

Duncan opened the door calmly, letting Alec into the building first. He pulled his ID of sorts out of his pocket to show the receptionist before signing Alec in as his guest for the moment. He didn't notice at first that the boy was covering his bruise until they had made it to the elevators. he was starting to think his room as the better option and pulled his ID back out, hitting the button for the fourth floor with ease, he spoke calmly as they were carried to his floor.

"With the way you're covering that bruise let's just head to my dorm. Then at least you'll be safe from most of the super naturals around here."

He looked at Duncan, staying quite as he watched the other show a receptionist his ID and signed his name as a guest. He remained quite and only followed Duncan to a elevator, trying to hide his bruises from anyone. He nodded at what Duncan said and leaned against the wall of the elevator, pretending to listen to the boring music they had playing. "Um.....how much does it cost to live here, I didnt even know they had dorms.....most high schools don't." He said

Duncan heard the door open, aware it was his dorm floor and walked out into the hall. He could hear that Alec was still following him as they made their way to one of the dorms closer to the end of the hall. He didn't seem to notic the question at first, not answering until he had his keys in hand.

"For me its not much. They gave me time to work up cash. I pay once a year about 1000 to keep the place. Sometimes I have to pay extra though since I have to stay here though the summer as well."

He reached the dorm door without any care or Mis-step as he unlocked the door. Some people believed he had remembered the number of steps needed to get to the room but he honestly just focused on how sound bounced off the walls and doors to find it. He let Alec in, closing the door behind the boy before taking a deep breath. He had a few potted plants around the place and everything was some sort of shade of blue. The carpet was extremely thick and fuzzy, Duncan stepping casually out of his shoes to sink his senses into the carpet for a moment. He went over to the fridge and started to make a bag of ice for Alec's bruised face.

He sigh softly and followed the other down the hallway to the last room and watched as Duncan acted as if he had sight and unlocked the door. He didn't quite understand how Duncan was so casual about being blind, but guess that it came natural to the other. He sat down on the couch, looking the other for a moment and dropped his hand from his cheek.

Duncan was wrapping a cloth around the bag of ice before walking over to where he could hear Alec was from his breathing and handed over the ice. He then went and started to tend to the various plants he had around the dorm room, watering some while trimming dead leaves from others. In the dorm he wasn't even trying to make it look as if he could see as he stared off at whatever as directly in front of him, usually it being the wall. His hands moved in an expert manner with trimming down dead leaves or branches, like he didn't need eyes at all to do most of what he did. Once that was done, he moved to the large lounge chair that looked over stuffed and sank into it, picking up a book from the coffee table. He opened to where a bookmark was and it was pages full of Braille, his fingers about to start running over the pages.

"That ice should help at least get the swelling to go down. Just sit tight I guess until its a bit less painful?"

Duncan wasn't exactly used to having guests, not really knowing what to do but to try and catch up on his reading. His fingers moved lightly across the raised dots of the page, head tilted down to the book as he read with his hands. He was starting to debate on making some coffee but started to get a bit caught up in what he was reading,his fingers starting to move across the page faster.
