Finny was glad to see the happy grin on Beau's face. He never meant to seem like a show off but the water was his home so he didn't think letting the other win would have been all that fair. A smile appeared on his face as the wolf drew closer only to have his expression change into confusion. Faint color rose to his face as the space between them was yet again closing, only this time it seemed beau wasn't as nervous about it. He did his best to just relax for a moment as his chin was lifted slightly. pale green eyes were searching the other's for a mere moment before the start of a very chaste kiss. Finny let his eyes slide shut as he leaned into the kiss, feeling that the other was wanting this just as much as him. The siren's hands had made their way to rest lightly on Beau's shoulders when the other pulled away. There was color still very much in the siren's face but he didn't seem to take it into account much as he moved one hand to brush away at the hair in Beau's face. He had a bright and happy smile on his lips as he pulled the wolf closer for a hug of sorts.
"You're being all sorts of sweet again. I could really get used to this."
The siren was resisting the urge to just kiss the boy until neither of them had any air left but he knew he had to stop such ideas before both of them were hurt by such brash actions.

Everything around Beau seemed to stop, as though time had frozen around the two of them for a few moments allowing Beau enough time to steady his skipping heart again. Still breathless, a wave of relief washed over him as he felt Finny’s hands against his skin and realised it hadn’t been the biggest mistake he had ever made. With a smile creeping back on to his face, he gazed at Finny speechless as he felt his curling hair being brushed away from his face. His smiled only widened to match the siren’s as he was pulled closer again and in to some sort of cuddle.
Listening to Finny, Beau couldn’t have felt happier. He wanted nothing more than to be able to hold Finny close and smother him with kisses all day. He’d do anything to see the siren’s perfect smile. Twisting himself around to get more comfortable, he found a spot by his side and kept his legs dangling over Finny’s tail. He placed his arm around the siren’s slim waist and pulled him closer, his other hand searching for Finny’s before his fingers entwined with his. He didn’t want to move, he wanted this moment to last forever. His stomach and heart were still dancing as he turned to look at Finny with bright cherry cheeks. “I’ll always be here for you Finny so… I don’t mind if you want to get used to it. I’d be happy to make you happy.”
Gazing in to the sirens beautiful eyes, he leant forwards once more and placed his lips over the sirens, this time with more meaning and not as rushed. Releasing Finny’s hand, his own hand found Finny’s hair and ran his fingers through it tenderly, almost gasping at how smooth and soft it was even though it was soaking from the water.

Finny could feel his specs glowing brighter along with his blush as Beau moved himself to sit next to the siren. the feel of skin against his scales felt odd but didnt mind as he was turning scarlet. He gave a gentle squeeze to the wolf's hand as he was feeling very much shy now, averting his eyes away for a moment. His eyes couldn't help to tear up at Beau's words, the young wolf being the gentlest and sweetest he has met. He didn't fight the kiss in the slightest as he moved to pull the other even closer. He smiled slightly into the kiss as fingers moved into his hair, using the gasp to his advantage by deepening the kiss. His own fingers were moving into Beau's hair as he was seeming to try and pull the other on top of him but was too much involved in the kiss to really try.

Beau felt Finny’s lips press harder against his own as the siren ran his fingers through his hair. He attempted to stop the small whine that escaped his lips as he felt enchanted at the others touch. It was the most mesmerizing feeling that had ever washed over him. He couldn’t think straight other than the certain thoughts that were clouding up his mind which in some ways scared his slightly.
He had kissed people before, people being girls and they never having the same effect Finny did on him. His nerves were on edge as he shakily manoeuvred once more so his legs were on either side of Finny’s tail again and as he kissed the siren, the force of it gently pushed Finny back until the siren was mostly submerged, laid down in the water. Wondering hands ran over Finny’s stomach and curiously across the top of Finny’s tail again, shuddering slightly in excitement as he broke the kiss to smile longingly at the boy that sent his heartbeat soaring.

Finny's mind was swimming with the sensations and emotions that beau induced in him. His fingers had found their way to tangle into the wolf's hair as he could feel his body Being submerged into water again. In a sense he was cheating in means of keeping the kiss lasting as he was now able to breathe through the gills on the sides of his rib cage. He couldn't help to shutter some at the feel of hands starting to run over his stomach and scales. He kept trying to pull Beau in closer but did his best not to whine or whimper when the wolf pulled away. He gave a bright smile at the wolf, still leaving his fingers tangled in the curled damp locks.
"Why don't we get out of the lake for a bit so you can see my other form? It's not as pretty but you seem to really like my transformations."
He placed a sweet kiss to Beau's cheek, his hands untangling from the other's hair and to his shoulders, one hand seeming to be curious and touching lightly to the other's chest. Small circles were traced as the siren just smiled, clearly happy.

It wasn’t like beau actually wanted to pull away so quickly but he was fairly sure he’d end up wanting more than a kiss if he carried on. At least that’s what he thought deep down. He nuzzled Finny’s hand for a moment, closing his eyes at the feel of the siren’s hands in his hair before he looked up again at the boy’s suggestion.
He looked thoughtful for a moment before moving back of Finny and kneeling up so his waist was just above the water line. “If you want me to see then yeah… I’m not going to run away. I’ll still want you no matter what you look like…”
Of course, as soon as the words left his mouth he mouthed a silent ‘Oh’ and turned beetroot again. Quickly climbing to his feet, waded through the little bit of water until his feet were on the soft, grassy lakeside before he smiled at Finny and waited for him to do whatever he needed to do.

Finny couldn't help to giggle some at how Beau leaned into his touch. If he knew any better the siren could swear that the wolf didn't want to pull away from him in the slightest. He blushed lightly at first before turning a bright scarlet at what the other said. His specs even glowed brighter and his fins and tail twitching for a moment at the little confession. He almost moved to hang onto Beau but didn't as he could tell the other was embarassed by what he had said. The siren gave another giggle before making his way to the shore line as well. Sadly he could only get so far before he had to drag his lower half up and out of the water. He made sure the knot holding the yellow skirt of sorts was secure before getting completely out of the water. He watched as his tail split and he had near normal legs. They weren't covered in scales but he still had fins and his toes were webbed as were his finger. He had small patches of scales here and there on his body but the ones most noticed were the ones that ringed under his eyes. He didn't know why they were there but he just wished he didn't have random patches of scales all over. Carefully he got to his feet and smoothed his skirt out before smiling at Beau. He walked over calmly but seemed since it had been so long since he had really swam in his real form switching back to human legs made them slightly shaky. He ended up falling into the wolf with a squeak, only to laugh at his being clumsy.
"guess since I haven't swam in so long my body still wants to go back to my real form."
He was smiling as he did his best to correct his little fall and give a sweet kiss to Beau's cheek, a faint blush and specs glowing on his cheeks.

Beau felt slightly awkward watching Finny drag himself to the shore, unsure of whether or not to help he siren but worried the boy would take it the wrong way and get upset. He figured that Finny had done this many times before but still felt he needed to help somehow. Ignoring the urge to step forward and offer his hand, he ran his hand through his messy hair and watched in amazement as Finny’s tail split in to two and took the form of two slender legs instead. Stood gaping with his mouth ajar, he struggled to form any words to express how astonishing that was to watch.
His eyes wouldn’t stop wondering over Finny as the other took to his feet and stumbled over to him, clearly still getting used to having his lags back again. He grinned, though it was unintentional, at the webs between Finny’s toes and the odd patches of scales that dotted around his slim frame. In his eyes, it was adorable, a look that left him with a look of bewilderment which quickly disappeared as the boy fell in to him. Wrapping his arms around Finny to keep him stable, he chuckled lightly and shook his head. His soft laugh was cut off as Finny kissed him again, feeling his cheeks brighten and forgetting about the little stumble as he gazed down at Finny with the happiest, smuggest smile across his face ever.
“Well at least I’m here and I’m not going to let you fall. I still have no idea why you get so shy about your forms though, anyone who doesn’t take to your beauty, no matter which form you take, is an absolute blind idiot.”
Without any further words, he wrapped one arm under Finny’s legs and one under his shoulder blades before picking him up bridal style. He was lighter than Beau had imagined which helped as Beau wasn’t exactly the strongest boy around. Taking steady steps, he made his way back around the lake again to where the willow tree stood; it’s long, spiny branches swaying softly in the light breeze. As he walked, he couldn’t help but to let his curiosity come out.
“Have you always been like this? With the tail and changes I mean?"

Finny couldn't help to smile brighter at the grin and look of aw on the orher's face at his change. He couldn't help to blush and look away though at what was said about all his forms. He used a hand to tuck some of his hair behind his finned ear as he did his best not to mumble.
"Well it's the fact that I'm so-eeep!"
He couldn't help to squeak surprised at being picked up so suddenly, his arms moving to hook around Beau's neck as if to feel less like he was going to fall. He looked up confused that the wolf had picked him up like that but made no complaints about it. He ended up resting his head on the orher's shoulder before giggling softly at the question.
"I was born in the ocean. I didn't know I had a human or half human form until I was... Before my first time on the surface."
He went slightly quiet as he would have explained his being caught as a little merman by a crazy human fisherman. He still had those memories painfully flash into his mind sometimes, his scarred up shoulders not helping in the matter at all. He looked to curl up in Beau's arms for a moment as he looked ready to cry but was fighting his headrest not to.

There was so much that Beau wanted to know about Finny, his curiosity towards the beautiful being been more than his curiosity towards anything he had ever encountered before. He wanted to know everything there was to know about him, not just because he liked the young siren but also because he hadn’t really ever got to know about any of the other ‘gifted’ people out there.
He listened to the boy speak with a bright smile across his face, hanging on to everything he had to say before Finny sounded to correct himself and finished. Beaus smile vanished once he noticed the way Finny hid away, looking as though he was trying to hide the pain behind his eyes. Carefully, he placed Finny back on the floor so he was sitting up and crouched in front of him, his face full of concern. Gently, he mover Finny’s hair away from his face and ran his thumb over the sirens cheek, a look of pain in his own eyes now. “Finny? What is wrong? If I said anything to hurt you then it was never intentional… I just wanted to know you… that was all.”
Quickly scrambling to Finny’s side on his hands and knees, Beau wrapped both arms around Finny and pulled him in to a tight hug. It was only then that he noticed the scars that showed upon the boy’s pale skin. For a moment, he wasn’t sure what they were but then a look of horror replaced his concerned look as he pulled Finny away slightly to look at him. He hoped he was just being silly, that Finny had accidently hurt himself somehow. He didn’t want to push the siren but if anybody had hurt him… “Finny… who did this to you? Is this why you are upset?”

Finny remained quiet for a moment just he could keep his voice from wavering when he did actually talk. He leaned slightly into the touch of Beau's hand as if it was giving him a sense of relaxation. He could still feel tears wanting to form in his eyes but was making sure none of them fell.
"It's nothing you did. It's just..."
He stopped talking as he was hugged, glad that the wolf was there to hold him in such a manner. The other clearly wanted to comfort him and the siren hadn't had someone truly want to comfort him a while. When he was moved away some he looked confused with watery eyes and nearly did cry at the look of horror that crossed Beau's face. It had to be that the other had finally noticed his scarred shoulders and the tears could no longer be held back anymore. They slid down his face slowly, but none thankfully turned into pearls.
"I-it happened when I was little...I got c-c-caught by a fisherman. He used me for profit and put h-h-hooks..."
He just ended up truly crying now as he moved to just cling to Beau. He hated the memory with a passion and just wanted it to go away. Like a phantom he could feel the tearing and burning of the hooks in his shoulders again and how he was only in enough water that he had to hold his merman form but was starved of any real water or food. All the eyes that stared happy to see his beauty while he hurt just made his eyes cry a mixture of tears and pearls as he just wanted to be held and forget.

Beau listened on in horror as Finny tried to explain the markings that spread across his shoulders, unable to take it in or understand how someone could do such a thing. He didn’t need Finny to finish his sentence, it was obvious where the hooks had been put. It was awful, to the extent it made Beau growl from deep within his throat as he pulled Finny even closer, stroking the siren’s hair as he tried to comfort him. “It’s ok… You have me now. Nothing will ever touch you or hurt you again… I’ll make sure of it. Don’t cry…”
He rocked the young siren in his arms as he tried to stop himself getting worked up. He was a whirlwind of anger and sadness, sadness because he hated seeing Finny so upset and angry because of what someone had put him through. He let Finny cling to him, willing to stay there all day if that is what it took before the siren calmed down again. He hated that he had brought the subject up now and felt it was his fault for stirring the boy’s memories. Wincing at his own stupidity, he moved his hand to try wipe away the tears that were falling from Finny’s cheeks, barely noticing the small pearls as he was to busy trying to stop the boy from crying. “Please don’t cry Finny...”

Finny wasn't wailing thankfully but the sound of his crying could be considered heart breaking to anyone. He could hear the growl rumbling within Beau's throat but ignored it as fingers Ran through his hair and was held even closer. He didn't even realize he was being rocked gently until the wolf made to wipe his tears away. He looked up with the tears streaking his face but he was starting to calm down. He placed his hands over the one touching his face but didn't pull them seat as expected by an upset siren. He had heard all that was said by the other as he was lightly sniffling to stop crying and to bite back anymore sobs.
"I'm a b-bit of a cry baby.....cry a lot r-really. I'm better n-now..."
He gave s small little smile as he had one last tear stray down his face as a pearl. He had never meant to scare beau with his tears or make him feel so much anger but the boy had asked and he didn't want to lie to the wolf no matter. He was still leaning very lightly into Beau's touch, his crying end even memories being soothed. Finny didn't know what it was about the wolf but it just made him Care for the other, his mind not wanting the feeling to ever go away.

Even after Finny’s tears had finished and the siren was leant gently against Beaus chest, he kept his arms around the you siren, not wanting to let go until he was sure Finny was happy again. He would sit there all day if he had to, talking to him and telling him sweet things to take his mind away from his awful past. Shaking his head, Beau smiled as he leant his head against Finny’s, his fingers still playing idly with his blond bangs. “It’s fine, Finny. You can cry as much as you want to. Sometimes it helps. I cry too… not very often but I do.”
He brushed his own fringe away from his eyes before pressing his lips against Finny’s head. If it were up to him, he’d sit there all day with Finny by his side, lost in their own word where silence surrounded them and they could be alone. He decided there and then to never bring up the past unless Finny mentioned it first. It appeared they both had troubled childhoods that would prove hard to talk about the more they learnt about each other.
Thinking to change the subject quickly, Beau thought of something that would mean a lot to him. Something to prove to Finny that this wasn’t a one-time thing and that he meant more to him than that. “Finny, how would you like to meet my family? Not now… obviously… but one day soon? I’d like them to meet you and see how special you are. I’m sure they will love you and it would mean a lot to me.”

Finny didn't so much as move as beau leant his head against his own.his eyes has slid shut as to get himself to calm down while he enjoyed the feel of fingers playing with his hair. He moved to look at Beau in the eyes as his smile grew slightly wider. He could tell that the wolf was really just trying to help and moved to give the other a tight hug. He blushed at the kiss to his head, the tear tracks on his cheeks finally drying and even the watery look of his eyes starting to go away thanks to it. He looked to curl up and cuddle into the other's arms, not wanting to be removed from the warm and overly soothing hold.
He didn't move for a moment until the other chose to change the subject. He looked up and blinked in confusion, almost as if he were scared of the idea. One of his hands moved to lightly touch the wolf's cheek while looking everywhere but the other's eyes as he spoke softly.
"Are you sure they won't be mad I'm not a girl? I mean I can make myself look like one but I don't think I'd go unnoticed if your family is all wolves..."
The siren really wasn't sure it was all that good of an idea. He had never had anyone he'd dated want to introduce him to their families. Heck he was usually lucky to get his dates to actually listen to what he was saying and not just drool all over because he was pretty. The siren rested his head against the other's chest, letting the sound the wolf's heart calm his nerves a few notches.
