He smiled at Amanda's reaction to the news and the ring. It cost him a pretty penny, so he hoped that Mason would like it. It wasn't a traditional engagement ring, it was orderly made. He was surprised at the hug, but hugged her back and smiled even more. You think so. He said and took the box back and put it back in the pocket.
I plan to purpose to him while we go on a vacation....... He revealed, feeling that maybe if he opened up more then Amanda and him could repair their relationship.

If Mason had even the slightest doubt about saying yes to Jack, she would try to talk some sense into him. This might just be the kind of commitment the other witch needed to stop questioning Jack and thus pushing him away. It was unique and the ring would fit Mason perfectly, she hoped he'd not hesitate at all. It was honestly the best news she'd heard in a while, and she didn't quite know how to even begin to express her joy.
"That sounds romantic," she smiled at Jack, glad that they were actually talking more like friends than they ever had actually. "Seeing how good you two can be together gives me hope that there'll be someone for me someday," she said, still smiling. She'd never been interested in finding someone for herself before, but recent events made her realize how nice it must be to have someone who'd stand by you no matter what.
"I've almost got a solution for Kailah's magic, a more permanent solution that's safer for everyone," she revealed. It had been a project she'd worked on ever since she'd seen her daughter again and she had a few options that could work. She just wasn't ready to get rid of everything at once. Amanda would be even more of a mess if she had given up everything at once. If she could get through the week without a pick me up, she could start to work her way up to storing it elsewhere for real.

He actually smiled at what Amanda had said. He had missed the Amanda that he could easily talked to before she turned into a power hungry woman who thought that she could do anything she wanted and not suffer any consequences. He had high hopes that she would get better soon and he would feel comfortable enough to let her around Kailah without him around. He wanted Kailah to know her mother and for Amanda to be there in Kailah's life.
I hope that you do to...and I think you will. He said.
He cocked an eyebrow and wondered what this solution was. Really, what would that be? He asked.

It was fascinating how having a person she'd been so mad at for so long over and just talk made her forget all about magic and all the things she'd done with it. Maybe it was because he reminded her exactly why she was going through this rough patch and what was really important that it made her feel better just to talk and catch up. Her endgame was for Jack to trust her with her daughter again, and for that she needed to get back to the easygoing witch she had used to be.
She couldn't help but smile when Jack said he thought there would be someone for her in the future. Since she had learned there were actually people that didn't care that she was a witch, she knew there was hope after all. It had just taken her up until now to realize she shouldn't push people away before she'd given them a chance. Being heartbroken and angry couldn't get any worse than how she'd behaved recently anyway so that worry was long gone.
"Originally I was thinking maybe share it between my parents, Mason and myself, so it wouldn't be too much for any of us, but I can't see that ending well. So, either charm an object to hold it safely and give that object to you to hide in your cabin, or give it all back to her now, but find a way to bind it so she can't access it yet. Allowing her gradual access as she grows older. The latter is probably the safest option, but I'd need to find another witch to help me with a potion or spell to make it work properly." Smiling slightly, she couldn't help but feel slightly sad about the whole thing. "Maybe that council witch can help? I don't think I should be doing any advanced magic for a while."

He didn't like the idea of three witches sharing his daughters powers. He really wanted her to just have them, but for her to not experience any magic until she got old enough. He knew that her werewolf heritage would come out when she became a teenager and figured that her witch heritage would be the same.
"I like the idea of either her powers being given back to her and they remain dormant till she got older or they either be stored in a charm of some sort." He said
"I can ask Dahlia if you want or you can go to her shop and talk to her about it, I am sure she wouldn't mind." He siad

Amanda knew that sharing Kailah's magic between the four of them would make it hard to give it all back to her daughter when the time was right. She also didn't trust that it wouldn't corrupt the other three as well as the fact that she didn't want to drag Mason into it. She would've asked her parents for help with the binding spell, but they weren't really able to help with that sort of magic as they seemed to hardly be using any at all these days.
It was good to know that Jack agreed with her about the object or binding them were the best options. It seemed they were still very capable of working together for a common good. If they could work together whenever something was awry with their daughter, they wouldn't have to agree on everything else. On anything else for that matter as long as they agreed upon what was best for her.
"I have to go by and ask her myself, I have a feeling she won't be too pleased with me, but isn't part of any recovery to make amends?" Besides, it would be good practice to ask someone for help. Having been capable nothing short of monstrosities lately, it would be healthy to ask someone for help in order to get past it. She sure had enjoyed herself far too much during the battle and the councilwoman couldn't possibly think that was a good thing, if she'd noticed at all.
"I don't know what her strengths are, but I suppose we'll have to go with whichever option she's more comfortable with helping with. If she'll help at all."

He knew that Dahlia didnt really like Amanda all that much. He never asked why but knew that the witch didnt care much for the red head.
He just nodded and smiled some."I think she might I mean you just have to he nice and everything about it." He said.

Amanda didn't know what she'd done to make people she didn't even recall ever meeting be mad at her. Sure, if she'd met Dahlia and been nasty to her, she could understand, but if the other witch disliked Amanda just because of what Jack had told her, Amanda would seriously reconsider going out of town for a while. Go a place where no one knew her, where Jack hadn't told them all about her dark side. Everyone were entitled to their fair share of personal problems, and people needed to realize there were two sides to every conflict. Amanda absolutely hated how everyone had taken Jack's side of the whole thing without even hearing her out.
"I guess time will tell, I'll go talk to her as soon as things get a little easier. Giving back Kailah's magic right now would do no one any good." She was about to explain all about how she was struggling enough as it was not to use magic or find ways to feel better when Angel jumped into her lap again and left a small vial in her hand, much like the one she'd given to Hunter to bring Jack. Struggling for a moment to even think straight with a solution to her current state being so easily attainable, she chewed on her bottom lip before she hesitantly handed it over to Jack. It would make her feel better now, but it wouldn't let her see her kid any faster.
"Burn it, pour it out, I don't care. Actually, I do, I want it, I really do, which is why it needs to be destroyed so I can't use it." She was arguing with herself, but she didn't care. What she wanted and what she needed were not the same things at the moment. Her body thought she needed the contents of that vial to feel better, but she didn't want it as she knew what would happen if she did. "Used on the wounded or ill, it has healing properties, but it can also be used to recharge a witch." She explained as she folded her hands in her lap to stop herself from even trying to reach out for it, even if she couldn't stop looking at the vial like she waited for the perfect moment to pounce or something.

He had really only talked with Dahlia on what Amanda was doing, mainly because he wanted advice from another witch on what he could do about Amanda. Amanda;s parents knew about Amanda before he had said anything, they could feel what their daughter was doing.
He blinked at the vial that Amanda had in her hands, clearly not understand what was in the vial and looked somewhat confused when Amanda ordered him to take it and destroy it.
She looked as if she was going to pounce on the vial and reached out and took it from her once she told him exactly what it was. He merely pocketed it and looked at the red headed witch.

It was strange being dependent on someone else to be able to be happy again. She was though. Jack letting her hold Kailah again, however briefly had made her want to change to be able to feel that happiness again. It was all she'd needed to make a real commitment to changing her ways. Or at the very least attempt to.
When Jack took the vial and pocketed it, she felt much more relaxed. Sure, she knew he still had it, but she didn't have to see it and it was also much harder to get to. "Thank you," she mumbled and looked down on her hands again, ashamed how easy it was to unravel her. He'd needed to know though. Needed to know about the less dangerous ways she had to get that high back without actually using magic as well as keep her safe from it.
"I don't know what will happen with Dahia or any of this, but I need you to know I'm done using other witches to push my limits. And if I step out of line again, you have my full permission to slap some sense into me again." She knew Jack didn't like the idea of hitting women, and she didn't like the idea of forcing him to do it either, but he had every right to do so or find a way to bring her to her senses. Not that she was planning on getting this out of control ever again.
Snuggling up to Jack, his naturally warm body made hers stop shaking and she relaxed. "This isn't too much, is it?"

He nodded and felt the vial press against his skin. He was quite and looked at her as she talked and only nodded at what she was saying.
He stiffen some when she laid her head on his shoulder and asked if this was to much."No your fine...." He said.
Amanda hadn't been this close to him since she was pregnant.

Amanda had forgotten how comfortably warm Jack was. She wasn't trying to accomplish anything other than just comfort, and he was so warm it made her nerves calm right down. Who'd have thought what she really needed was just to be close to someone to feel better, and just talk. "Did anyone ever tell you you smell foresty? It's quite comforting actually."
Being close to Jack was the second best thing to being close to her daughter and it was relaxing. Soothing even. Before all the magic madness, being close to Jack had felt safe and it had kept Kailah from squirming around and making her feel sick. Now it just calmed her. Maybe she'd actually be able to get some sleep for once.
"Thanks for coming tonight Jack," she said quietly, wondering quietly why she had worked so hard to push him away to begin with. Why did she have to be so stubborn and selfish all the time. All cuddled up, she couldn't help but stifle a yawn.

"Yeah alot of people say that." He said and smiled some. Vampires always said he smelt like a wet dog, but to other beings he smelt like a pine forest. Most wolves have that smell to them if they spent alot of time in the woods.
It didnt feel as weird to have her close to him. She use to cuddle with him when she was pregnant, it always seem to soothe their daughters movements.
"Your welcomed." He said and smile some.

It had never occurred to her that the foresty smell might be a werewolf thing, frankly Jack was the only werewolf she'd ever bothered to get to know. It was nothing personal, it was just that working with the vampires kind of made it difficult to get to know the werewolves personally. She couldn't say she regretted it.
Amanda yawned slightly again, warm and comfortable. "You know, I've made a lot of mistakes, but meeting you wasn't one of them." No matter what had happened in the last few months, she loved her daughter more than anything and didn't regret having her. She certainly didn't want to change that. Though she was sure she'd said everything she needed to say to feel better and was ready to just get some proper rest guilt free.
