He was lost in thought and wondered if Marcus was as bad as it appeared to he. Wait, what was he thinking, he wasnt seriously giving that guy a benefit of the doubt. He was trying to find ways that he could leave and head back to the village when he felt someone kiss him. He was stunned and took a step back but stopped once he heard the blonde speak.
"What would that be?" He asked, her touch didnt really frightened him, maybe it was because she didnt really do that much damage. Wait she was the one that knocked him out."Thank you for cleaning up my mother....." He said.

Arya couldn't help but be fascinated how the boy wasn't afraid of her like he obviously was of Marcus. Then again, he'd never really seen her do anything but act all girly and innocent so maybe that was why. Maybe he didn't think she could be just as twisted as Marcus if she didn't have her own agenda. She knew her maker's attention would mostly be directed towards Damien now so she needed to find a way to keep some of it for herself, one way or another.
She didn't reply to his question at first and rather kissed at his cheek, trailing his jaw with kisses before she chuckled slightly. "It was the least I could do after saving your ass. Now, about that trip to the village... If you go with Marcus and behave, I'll make sure Marcus doesn't take his temper out on you when he's upset about something," she was still standing close to the boy, trying to use her womanly charms on him to get him to do what she wanted. It was a way to spare Damien from a lot of pain later on and for her to at least get some attention from Marcus.
"I also need you to part with the ring from your mother for a few hours to get it charmed for you, so you'll need this to go outside," she said and showed him the daylight ring she was wearing. He wouldn't get to borrow it until he'd accepted her terms though.

He almost blushed when she kissed his cheek and moved down his jaw. He didnt really know how to react to this kind of attention. He blinked at what she said. All he had to do was allow Marcus to go with him and he wouldn't have to feel Marcus wrath."Thats all I have to do?" He asked curiously. What did she have up her sleeve? He wanted to know but didnt dare use telepathy.
He looked down at the ring and handed it to her."Here then....." He said and looked at her now.
"Why do you want to help me......?" He asked curiously now.

This was all almost too easy. She'd never thought Marcus bringing in someone else would give her someone to play with when Marcus got boring, but maybe she could use it to her advantage. Right now though, Damien had something she wanted and she could do something for him that he wanted so it all worked out in the end. So naturally, when he handed her the ring, she placed it on her finger for safe-keeping and smiled at him again.
"You now find yourself in possession of something that's been all mine for almost a thousand years; Marcus's attention. This way we both get what we want. You don't have to hurt and I'll get some of the attention I'm used to," smiling at the boy again, she stepped back and removed her daylight ring. "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. I'll be wanting this back tonight," she said and placed her ring in his right hand, closing his fingers around it.
"He's not a bad man, he's just not too good at expressing himself from time to time. Just tell him why you want to go to the village and he'll take you." With that, she stepped out of the newborn's way, hopeful that at least she'd helped a little as that would make her own life easier.

This women. He listened as she explained that he had Marcus attention now. It wasnt something that he had wanted of even think he had. He wasnt sure if having Marcus attention now was even a good thing. He only nodded and looked down at the daylight ring and put it on. "I didnt think having his attention was like gold." He said alittle sarcastically.
He only nodded when she stepped out of his way and walked back the other way. He wanted to go back and see what was left. He found Marcus."I want to go back to the village and see if there's anything left......" He said.

Marcus had no idea what Arya had in mind when she stalked off after Damien like that. They were just far enough away for him not to catch much other than distant hum of voices and he decided it was better it he didn't put too much thought into it and waited patiently for either of his fledgelings to return to him. He was a bit surprised when it was Damien that came walking his way, clearly whatever Arya had told him had made him change his mind.
At the boy's request, Marcus bit his lip. How could he explain to him that he couldn't go outside during the day without burning to death? Luckily he didn't have to though as he noticed the ring on Damien's hand. Lifting the boy's hand to study the ring, thus confirming it was Arya's he smiled slightly. Dropping his hand again, Marcus guided Damien out of the room with his mother. "We'll go right away then. Anything in particular you want help looking for?" He was careful this time not to crowd Damien or push him to anything.
"Arya will have the ring from your mother spelled so you can walk outside on your own and always have something of hers with you." They were taking the horses to the village this time since Damien hadn't quite gotten used to his new powers yet and it wouldn't take them more than half an hour on horseback to get there.

Marcus saw the ring and it only confirmed fhat he could go out in the daytime. He blinked his eyes and followed Marcus out."Anything that might still be there." He answered. It didnt matter what it was but there was anything left i his and his mothers then he would want to find it.
Damien had only ridden a horse once and wondered why they were on horseback, it would be quicker on foot wouldn't it? "Couldn't we get there quicker running?" He asked curiously.

He would help the boy look for anything that belonged to him or his mother that hadn't been burned or trampled. It was the least he could do after springing his intentions on the boy as well as scaring him when he learned about the mind reading thing. He had some making up to do.
"Running would be faster, but we can't. Just because you're not human anymore doesn't mean we don't have to pass for human. If people find out, it would be a mob with pitchforks." Saddling up the horses he offered to give Damien a hand to get up on his horse before getting up on his own. "I know it sounds counterproductive, but it's for our own safety. Humans are fragile and there could still be someone around to see us."

He nodded and actually agreed with Marcus on that. He figured if a human saw him as then he was gone the next, that would surely spook them. In this day and age, the existence of supernatural beings were widely more acknowledged. He didnt know how long it would take for them to get back to the village. He wondered if The Lord of the castle had started cleaning up or at least excited the pillagers if he got any.
He was quiet as the horse walked, looking around at the scenery. The sun didnt even feel warm on his face like it used to as he looked up at it. The blinding light didnt faze him either. He could hear small woodlen animals that were miles away. Everything was so heightened that he had to try and concentrate on something else.

Marcus was glad Damien didn't argue about the horses, it was a beautiful ride after all. The scenery made it almost worth the extra time it took and it gave Damien some time to adjust to his senses outdoors while preparing to face the village again. Hopefully his friend had gotten rid of the pillagers.
When they finally arrived at the village, there were a few people out and about cleaning up. The air was filled with the putrid stench of burning flesh and it was obvious where the smell was coming from as they got closer. It seemed the castle lord had had some defenses up after all as people were dragging the pillagers over to a pit where they were burning the bodies. Maybe more people had survived inside the castle walls than they'd thought the previous night.
"I'll let you look through your stuff, I have something to take care of first," he said and got off the horse, walking next to it and guiding it around people until he saw his old friend in the middle of the clean up. Apparently the lord wasn't above helping his people, which was good. Tying the horse up to a pole, he helped his friend, offering Damien some privacy whilst looking through his things. It seemed they were going to bury the townsfolk properly, even had a priest coming in and everything. Once he knew what was going on and how they were planning on rebuilding, he decided to help Damien and left his horse where it was to help his new fledgeling. "It already looks better than it did last night," he offered as he leaned against the door frame. "How can I help?"

Once they came to the village, there was people already cleaning up the area. Once he stopped his horse, he tied it up and walked through the village in search of his old home.
It was half way burnt down, the roof had caved in, but the structure had surprisingly stayed intake. He looked around their old home and started to go through the things that had survived. Their was a entire chest that had his things in it when he was young when they first moved here. He picked up a blanket that she had made for him.
He looked back and saw Marcus."This chest was the only thing that survived." He said and picked it up with ease.

It was good that the clean up was going so well. Pretty soon the village would look as good as new. Except for the people living there of course, they would never be the same. Then again, they would move on sooner or later.
"Well then, we'll take it with us is that's what you want," he said calmly. He wanted Damien to be able to be happy, and if that meant bringing things from his childhood with them, they would. "Anything you want is yours, I hope you know that Damien," he said and offered to take the chest so Damien could finish his business in their small house.

He stared at Marcus for a moment, taking in what the man said before looking back around the house. There wasnt much left in the house. He did find a stuff animal that his grandmother made for him when he was a baby before she died.
He walked out with only the bear since Marcus had the chest. He looked at the man."Thats all I could find." He said and smiled some.
He actually hugged the man, letting go rather quickly when he realized what he done."Guess we should head back then." He said.

He really didn't know how else he could help other than to offer to carry stuff since he wasn't really familiar with the house and all. He was surprised when Damien hugged him, but didn't make a big deal about it, rather he just smiled at the man and smiled when someone brought his horse over to him. "Then we should head back," he said and ruffled Damien's hair in a caring manner.
"Arya should have your ring ready when we get back, so you'll be able to go outside whenever you want to. Just please don't run away?" It didn't matter if Damien wasn't happy with him, he just didn't want the guy to run off and get hurt. He hadn't wanted to give him his ring so soon, but Arya had convinced him that it might be the right thing to do. She might have her own reasons for trying to be nice to the boy, but if it worked in his favor, he wasn't going to argue.

He felt his hair being ruffled and had to straightened the now fluffed out mess that he called his hair. He looked to Marcus when the man asked him to not run away once he got his ring. It was a thought that had passed him and honestly he thought of just doing it, but he decided to stay.
"I won't." He said.
They headed back and he took the chest from Marcus."So is that room mine?" He asked.
