outfit~*~ Crawling out of bed, Alice had never been happier to only work a short few hours that night. She needed some time to herself and just enjoy the night life. Taking a quick shower, the vampiress took her time both with her stockings and with her appearance as a total. No one would ever be able to say she didn't make an effort to look her best as she hated feeling ugly. So, that night she went out and did her job as usual, throwing people out of Coco's place and not being taken seriously until she actually threw people out in some cases. After she was done working her innocent act, she decided to go to the grill for a few drinks. There was a big difference between the old plantation house she was living in and the grill as far as standards and glamor went, but she really just wanted to study the people that night. Looking at the list of drinks they could mix, she realized that they had added something new for the holidays. She loved the end of October, all the costumes people would put on, it was amusing and she loved getting away with dressing exactly like she wanted. So she ordered something that was supposed to look like blood, because she wanted to see how the humans would make that. Sitting down by the bar, she had a sip when she finally got the drink and chuckled slightly at how sweet it was. Swirling it around in her glass, the redhead was looking at the people, studying how some people could be drunk already and it wasn't that late yet. She could've sworn she saw someone work magic in a corner as well. So far she hadn't seen anything worth studying further, but then again she wasn't curious enough quite yet. Well, it wouldn't be any fun if she didn't make her own fun, so she got up from her seat and right when she lifted her glass, she turned too quickly and her drink splashed out of her glass and headed straight for the male.

Andre was just looking to unwind after having finished with a series of midterms. He didn't like that he was more or less stuck in school but it was one of the better ways for him to kill time and not monsters. He had made his way to the local bar, not caring of the few that looked at him or the fact that there was magic in the air. He made a clear path to the bar and ordered his usual shot of whiskey, the bar tender having believed he had befriended the stony-faced hunter. Said hunter let the man try to talk but his senses were tuned elsewhere. As if he were expecting it, he made to move himself away from the bar, narrowly avoiding the sloshing of a red drink onto the bar top and not him. He had a drop or two land on his arm, but he was remaining clean aside from that. Icy blue eyes watched the bar tender move to clean before staring at the female that had spilled the drink. "Careful, no one needs a nasty mess in here." His tone was flat as he just stared blankly. The spill hadn't taken long to spill before seating himself back at the bar. He drank down his shot before getting another. He didn't want any form of a scene caused tonight.

Alice was glad her drink had missed the human, the last thing she wanted was to cause a scene just yet. Most people weren't too fond of being splashed with drinks after all, especially not overly sweet, red goo. Still, even if it missed the man, she couldn't help but apologize for almost spilling all over him. "I am terribly sorry, I can be so clumsy," she uttered, smiling brightly at the bartender as he was busy cleaning up.
"Can I have another one? And another shot for my unfortunate would be victim, please?" She smiled at the bar tender and finished what little was left in her glass. Studying the human closely for a moment, she sat back down, leaned on the bar and looked at the guy as if truly fascinated. She wasn't trying to be rude or anything, and he really wasn't her type anyway, but she was trying to figure him out.
"You're different than most people," she finally said and turned her attention back to her new drink.

Andre had heard the girl apologize but made no real reaction to it. He finished his second shot when he heard the girl order him one. He didn't like when people did that, gave him thoughts on people wanting to put him in a bad situation. He didn't like the thought of reining taken out of his control either. "There's no need for buying me shots." His voice was still flat, pushing the shot that was ordered away. He didn't trust it for once but it was only due to it being ordered by the girl. He noticed how said girl watched him, his icy eyes looking over at her with a sliver of confusion in them. Why on earth did she have to stare as if she were studying him? The hunter didn't like it in the slightest. "You are more persistent than most. I'd recommend not staring at individuals. You're going to give them the wrong idea."

It became quite clear that the male wasn't used to people trying to be nice to him when he pushed the shot away like that, telling her there was no need for it. "Just trying to make up for almost spilling on you, but if you don't want it I'll have it myself," she said nonchalantly before she downed the shot. She shuddered slightly at the strong taste and smiled slightly-
Oh yes, she was enjoying her own drink as well as studying the man. He most certainly was different; He worked differently than normal people and she wanted to find out what exactly made him tick. What made him so special? Sipping her drink, she chuckled at his statement and stopped staring at him. Instead she would just listen intently to him, because that he wouldn't be able to tell.
"How can you get the wrong idea when I really was studying you? I only stare at people when I'm trying to understand them." And she was getting a pretty good idea what he was by how he was acting, or rather lack of reaction. She wouldn't let on what she knew or didn't know just yet, though it seemed she wouldn't get much of a chance to continue studying him in silence.
Just as she was about to turn back towards the hunter, she felt an arm around her shoulders and looked up to see a familiar face. "What the lady means to say is that she meant no harm... Let's go babe." He sounded almost nervous, as if he knew exactly what the young human was and that it was best to truly stay away. Smiling slightly up at her ex, she chuckled slightly. "Her name is Alice, and she can take care of herself, stop talking about me like I'm not here." Turning her attention back to her drink, she sighed softly, ignoring the arm around her shoulders until it was gone finally and her ex had left her to herself again.

Andre listened to the girl speak but paid her much more attention than that. He ordered himself another shot, seeming to take his time for once as he observed the girl out the corner of his eye. He gave no reaction at the question and just downed his shop, eyes moving back to blankly staring out at the wall. The hunter had been able to tune into someone approaching and heard the girl be grabbed by a male. Andre made no move to help as he had no particular interest in the woman before he heard what the man said. So it seemed that his reputation was starting to get around the bar for once. He wasn't a menace persay but he could be quite violent when crossed by those he dubbed as morons. His eyes looked to laugh for a moment before he heard the girl speak, stating her name and how she could take care of herself. Andre couldn't help to look over at Alice and this man before the man finally left her alone. "You should have listened to him you know. I'm not something you want to hang around."

On any other occasion, Alice wouldn't have minded to be 'saved' by her ex, but right now she was trying to satisfy her curiosity. Even when her ex left and the guy spoke about not being something she wanted to hang around, Alice just shrugged.
"I could do worse as far as company goes, so don't judge yourself so harshly." Of course, she could be sitting with a wolf, or a superkid, but honestly, she didn't mind sitting with the hunter as he hadn't done anything to make her fear him just yet. Besides, she wasn't there to get drunk or cause trouble anyway, no she just wanted a few drinks to make it easier not to really start studying people to learn about their special abilities.
"My line of work requires a certain persuasion at times to avoid scenes, so I can handle myself against whatever little tricks you've got up your sleeve. I'd just very much like to understand what they are first," she said rather cheerful for her and finished her drink. She wasn't getting another one of the overly sweet things as it made her want stronger drinks which she wasn't having any of that evening.

Andre couldn't help to find this girl rather strange. She seemed to have figured out he wasn't just an untrained human but it seemed her curiousity of him was not something healthy. He toyed with the shot glass he had between his fingers as he looked at her from the corner of his icy blue eyes.
"You're a strange one Alice, I'll give you that. But I would suggest finding a better hobby over learning who people are. You might not like the answer."
He ordered one more shot for the night, still seeming unphased with how the girl was acting.

Alice practically beamed at the hunter when he said she was a strange one. At least he hadn't figured her out yet and that was really what mattered. The moment he learned the explicit truth, he might not be so happy to just sit there and be studied. Though she'd come to the conclusion that she wasn't going to learn anything more by simply watching the hunter drink.
Instead, Alice turned her attention to the bartender and got another one of the same drink, though asking if he could go easy on the grenadine as she didn't want it overly sweet. While waiting for her drink, she decided to reply to the hunter. "I can't help it, it's in my nature to be curious of people and pick out their gifts. You'd be surprised what you could do with simple understanding of how something works."
Taking out an old watch from her jacket pocket, she sighed slightly at the time. It wasn't nearly late enough yet and she was hardly intoxicated enough to be able to stop herself from studying people. "Are you always this talkative?" The question left her lips before she was able to keep the sarcasm out of her voice and she could feel her ex wanting to come to the rescue, even if she didn't want him to. The hunter fascinated her and she wondered how long she could keep him clueless before it was time to move on.
