History: Eric was born in a happy home in the state of Virginia to a kind and loving mother. He was homeschooled as his mom didn't trust much of the world and always seemed to be watching over her shoulder for something. Eric thought nothing of it until he was taken away from his mother by men dressed in red robes with strange symbols on them. His mom put up a fight in trying to keep her son but he was unable to see what happened after he was taken and believes her to be dead.
The men were alchemists and were planning to use Eric in a new project to create the perfect companion for hunters to track down monsters. They took the fragile looking child and merged him with a canine, a snake, and a strange red stone imbued with healing and extra sensory abilities. For a month Eric was in bone crushing pain until his transformation ended with him becoming what is called a chimera. They gave him little time to recover or adjust to his new form as they threw him into endurance and obedience training. For years he was tormented with whips and starved for poor behavior all to make him into the perfect pet for hunters.
It wasn't until he was 16 that there was a buyer for him. His will to be himself was nearly gone at this point but as he was evaluated by the hunter something was starting to spark inside. After the hunter left and the men in red seemed happy that Eric was sold, the chimera finally snapped. He tore through as many of the alchemists as he could, tapping into his own alchemy abilities without even trying. They tried to restrain him but he had become resistant to any form of alchemy used on him that he was able to escape.
He fled to hide in the forest where he stayed in his beastly form for a year, cowering from the nearby population that was somber falls. He knew very little of the world that when a supernatural approached him, he did his best to flee. One ended up cornering him but instead of hurting him like he expected but instead took him in. The man had been gifted with the ability to speak and manipulate nature by the name of Roger, the man's compassion for the lost chimera his reason to save him. Carefully Eric was taught to speak like every other human and even transform back into one, having been scared the first time he saw his human reflection after so long. Roger was on the council for the town and eventually had to resign, selecting Eric to take his place. He currently is trying to reason with the rest of the council in finally putting trust in the gifted, roger having picked him as if he could break the other council members coldness to them.
