Indigo stared at Juliette slightly wide eyed at the look of confusion and her question. She had thought that maybe this girl would have known some things about her species but this was clearly a sign she was very much a new born vamp.
"You really are clueless about all you can and can't do now aren't you? Maybe there is an older vamp willing to help you out. Anyways, the thing I'm talking about is a ring mixed with magic that can let folks like you out into the sunlight. I think you have to be well behaved before you can get one though."
The phoenix could see the blood bank in her line of sight now as she gave a slightly firmer grip to Juliette's hand. She narrowed her green eyes the tiniest touch at how the vamp was still wanting to eat the passing humans. She knew she couldn't be completely mad as this was like dealing with a baby, a murderous blood-thirsty baby. Indigo shook the thought from her mind though as she did her best to answer the question.
"Well from what i know they are sorta aware of us all. And you can't have one as that messes with the balance of things. The human council member would have your head if you kept trying to eat people like that. Look we're nearly to the blood bank anyways."

She wasn't entirely clueless as to what she could do, it was just that she'd stumbled across it mostly on accident. How was she supposed to know these things when no one would tell her? "I haven't met anyone willing to help, but I get by on my own." She wasn't trying to be smart, she just really hadn't known about the rings or found someone willing to teach her. She did enjoy her freedom though and she didn't want to be forced to change.
"I'm learning," she chuckled. She really had been learning, though maybe not as quickly as people like Indigo would expect. No, she was learning in her own speed, no one rushing her or telling her how to behave. Maybe she'd been lucky that way, maybe she hadn't. At least she was getting by, and that was the most important thing. When the blood bank was in her line of sight, she almost skipped ahead, but the firmer grip on her hand prevented her from doing anything. After all, she was whining about wanting a human, until she heard what Indigo had to say. "Look I'm not gonna promise something I most likely can't keep, but I'll do my best."The vampiress was excited about the prospect of food.

Indigo wasn't surprised this time at the words that left Juliette. She had a feeling this vamp as thinking she was doing fine on her own but a little help could nevere hurt. The rounded another corner and they were almost there when Indigo made them stop. She looked at Juliette calmly but had an out of place of look of sternness to her features.
"Alright, you see that little bench between the trees over there? I want you to wait for me over there. I won't take long a nod hopefully the vamp in charge will let me get 2-3 days worth for you or something. Just stay there until i come get you."
She then let go of the vamp's hand and quickly ran into the place, the building actually being a donor bank of sorts for blood and money. It went hand in hand really but indigo didn't have time to think about that. She talked with one of the guys at the counter, her skin crawling knowing what he was. She explained all that was going on and found out the guy was a bit of a softy. The Phoenix was able to get her hands on a cooler with 2 days worth of blood in it. The vamp oddly though gave what Juliette would eat tonight and placed it in a large cup after warming it up. Indigo couldn't help to feel grossed out by it before paying and taking off out to get it back to Juliette. She did all but run to the bench and carefully held the cup out to the hungry vampire.
"Don't drink it all down at once, you'll end up making a mess."

Jules almost felt like she was back home, before things got so messed up, when she was a kid and her mother told her not to do something. It was exactly the same tone of voice Indigo was using, and the way she expected Jules to behave. But maybe that was why she'd try really hard not to do anything silly while Indigo was gone.
So she sat down on the designated bench, unable to sit entirely still while Indigo was gone. Sure, it wouldn't be as nice as biting into the first delicious human passing by, but at least it would keep her out of trouble for the night and wasn't that the whole point of this exercise? To keep her out of trouble with the town council?
For once, she'd actually been lost in thought and able to remain in place, though her attention broke the moment that smell reached her. Her eyes darkened again and she had to fight herself to keep still until Indigo reached her. When it was presented to her in a cup, she quickly snatched it from Indigo and started gulping down the contents, regardless of her warning. She didn't understand how people could take the time to heat up blood like that, it still didn't taste as fresh as straight from a person.
Yes, she was making a mess, but she didn't get it all over at least. She couldn't help plunging her fingers into the cup once she'd emptied out as much as she could by drinking it and ran them along the bottom of the cup to get out as much as possible. When she was done, she wiped her mouth and licked her fingers before grinning up at Indigo. "No one's ever been this nice to me, period."
Before the superhuman could possibly have time to react, Juliette was on her feet and had hugged her and quickly let go as she didn't want to be turned into ice. "Thank you." Sure, she still had the urge to sink her fangs into a human, but it was greatly suppressed by the fact that she was no longer famished. And what little control she had was back so she should be good for the rest of the night.

Indigo couldn't help the disturbed shiver that went down her spine at Juliette drinking down the warmed cup of blood. She couldn't understand how there could be creatures that feed off of what they used to be, the thought of it chilling her blood further. The phoenix took a step back so as to not deal with blood getting on her or anything before the vamp finished her meal and grinned at her. Indigo didn't know whether to be scared or not but gave a meek smile back as Juliette talked. Her entire body went rigid as she was suddenly embraced by the other, green eyes wide at the action. It took all she had not to turn her body into solid ice as she was let go, the thank you sounding sincere to her. Her smile turned into something more natural as she held the cooler containing more blood out to the other.
"Well giving a little help can make a big difference for both parties. I also got you some extra food just to hold you up for a day or two. You'll have to figure out how to warm it up yourself but i can at least do something to the cooler so that the blood doesnt spoil."
Indigo carefully channeled ice into the lining of the cooler, the ice colder than her own skin but still leaving the handle and outside of the cooler still safe to touch. She didn't want any of it to go to waste and she doubted a young vampire would even do such a thing.

Juliette was grateful that Indigo hadn't turned her into ice for hugging her so briefly. She had no interest in biting the superhuman anymore, not since the initial attempt, because she knew it wouldn't be worth the pain. No matter what she did, she didn't enjoy any kind of burning, be it from hunger, the superhuman or actual flames.
When she was given the cooler, the vampiress accepted it with a curious look on her face. Did people really eat like that rather than straight from the veins? Somehow she didn't think it would be a new favorite, but it was ok, it beat being famished at least.
"Thanks again, Indigo." She really hadn't expected a stranger to be so helpful, but maybe the way to get by in a town like Somber was to try her best to be kind to everyone so they'd return the favor. Or maybe they'd just plain out help her or something. Who knew. All she knew was that she'd done nothing to deserve Indigo's kindness but she wasn't about to decline a free and easy meal either. "In case you thought I have absolutely no self control, I have managed just fine not to kill the lady whose place I stay at," she grinned slightly. Yeah, she was kinda proud of the effort she made every time she came home, but she'd still managed to stay away. It fascinated her how much more there was to learn about life now, how everything was brighter, and all her senses were enhanced, she could no longer imagine living with just the dull senses of humans. "You'll have to show me around sometime."
