It eased Beau’s mind knowing he’d be able to walk Finny home the nights he worked at The Grill and make sure he was safe, god only knew the type of people that hung around in there and after Sammy had talked so much about it, Beau didn’t like the idea of leaving Finny to walk home alone at all. The walk back to Finny’s apartment didn’t take long, Beau spending most of the time trying to keep his boyfriend warm and forget the subject to ease the mood. By the time they had arrived Beau was smiling again, giggling quietly at Finny as he skipped to his door and unable to think of anything other than how adorable the siren was.
He could smell the salt water before he even reached the flat but instead of turning his nose up, his smile grew as it reminded him of home. “It’s no problem… I kinda got used to it in England. I guess living by the sea has paid off…” Following Finny’s actions, he slid his own shoes off at the doorway to reveal his odd socks, something his family always made fun of him for, before he placed his bag in the corner. He stayed standing for a few moments as he looked around the room; not much had changed since he was last there and it still held the same comfy atmosphere.
Looking back at Finny, he made his way over to the couch in silence where he perched on the end not wanting to intrude Finny’s space though after a few moments he moved further up the couch to lie by Finny’s side and hid his face in the others shirt. Yawning, he smiled to himself as he thought about how lucky he was. “Finny… Umm… if you want me to leave so you can get some rest I can go if you like?” He glanced up at Finny now, looking at the siren as he waited for an answer. He didn’t mind if Finny wanted him gone, at least he was home safe and Beau would be able to sleep peacefully knowing this though he had found himself growing comfortable snuggled next to his boyfriend and wasn’t sure he wanted to tear himself away just yet.

Finny could have just stayed there sprawled out on the sofa for the rest of the night, but he knew better than that. He heard more than looked at Beau taking his shoes off and putting his bag down before the wolf just stood awkwardly. He looked up confused but watched as the shy wolf eased his way onto the sofa before finally laying next to him and hiding his face in the siren's shirt. Instantly Finny's hands found their way into Beau's hair and was running though the soft locks as he smiled. He gave a tiny giggle at Beau asking if he wanted to leave, clearly able to tell that the wolf didn't really want to leave.
"Now why would I want you to go home? I like you right here."
His smile seemed brighter then, not caring about much else going on in the world right now. He kept playing with the other's hair for a little while longer before detangling his fingers from said locks and moving so he was face to face with the wolf. He snuggled up against his boyfriend, small enough to just curl up against the other's chest.
"You're all warm....I could stay like this forever..."
His words nearly sounded to pur as he had tucked his head up under the wolf's chin, finding this very much cozy compared to the cold waters he was usually in when he got home.

As Finny’s fingers played delicately In Beau’s hair, the young wolf found himself growing sleepy from the touch, a small whimper escaping his lips as he leaned into it as though not wanting the siren to stop. He kept the smile across his face, wrapping his arms tightly around Finny and filling with happiness that he wasn’t going to be asked to leave just yet.
They laid in silence for a few moments, Beau almost purring every time Finny moved his fingers through his hair before whining in objection to the sirens movements. Once he realised what Finny was doing, he chuckled and moved his arms so he could hold the siren better, sighing as nudged his boyfriends nose quickly with his own out of affection. Once Finny had got himself comfortable, Beau pressed his lips against Finny’s head and closed his eyes, wanting nothing more than to hold Finny’s like this forever.
He smiled at the siren’s words, snuggling even closer to ensure they both stayed warm. “Well let’s stay like this forever Finny. I could be your own personal hot water bottle… we don’t need anything else. We can have food delivered, everything we need sent to us so we would never have to move.” He said with a small giggle, the thought actually making him feel fuzzy inside. Yawning again, he traced small kisses across the top of Finny’s head before relaxing back against the cushions.

Finny couldn't help to giggle at how his wolf of a boyfriend acted more like a puppy when running his fingers though his hair. he found it rather cute to hear the other whine at the loss of attention, but seemed distracted while he got all cozy on the sofa with him. The siren liked that the other's arms moved to hold him, making him feel all the warmer. He couldn't fight the giggle that bubbled up from his lips at hearing what Beau had said. "I don't know if the sushi bar would like that too much, and how many do you know deliver raw fish?" he was still giggle as he spoke, snuggling up the the wolf as he calmed down some. He had never really explained he struggled with normal human food or even human things, but he was too distracted with nuzzling against Beau's neck as it was rather warm and cozy.

Beau felt his nose wrinkle up at the mention of sushi. He had no problem with fish but that was when they were being all alive and swimming in ponds and other watery things. It still amazed him how the siren hadn’t fallen for the sickly sweet taste of cake as everyone else had and would rather eat raw fish. In some ways it made sense.
Smiling at Finny’s giggle, he shook his head but still couldn’t help think about how happy he would be if they could stay as they were forever. Then again, he was happy wherever he was as long as Finny was with him. Plus he was pretty sure it wouldn’t be very healthy for them both to lie in the same position for the rest of their lives. Joining in with Finny’s giggles as the siren nuzzled against his neck. “Actually, you have a good point. But why would you want sushi when you can have pizza and Chinese and all the greasiest fast food you could wish for? Wait… do you live on fish? Please tell me you have chips with it sometimes?” He was now glancing down at Finny the best he could without having to pull away to give him a look of bewilderment. He had never met anyone that lived on pretty much only fish before and was amazed.

finny liked that the wolf joined in with his smothered giggles. He looked up a little perplexed at being asked about food. He couldn't help to blink in confusion at all the other talked about. He felt rather shy now, knowing full well he had never tried any of those foods.
"Well...I really haven't tried much human food. The only thing I got adventurous with was that cupcake. Aside from that...only fish, seaweed, and kelp. I do like the taste of cherries though."
He seemed a little shy Now, almost having a sense of ignorance to him for not having tried anymore human food. He really shouldn't stick to the classic underwater diet but it was such a habit now he wasn't Sure he could break it.

Beau kept the smile on his face as Finny explained his lack of experience when it came to human foods, finding it rather amusing yet a challenge of sorts he was going to set himself. Squeezing the siren lightly and encouragingly, he offered Finny his thoughts. “I think I had seaweed before… though it was by accident. My brother thought it would be funny…” –The young wolf shuddered slightly as the memory of him having to repeatedly brush his teeth for a whole week after crept in to his mind.- “Anyway, there are a lot of nice things that humans eat, it all depends what taste you have. I like anything sweet… cupcakes, cookies, lollypops, milkshakes… anything that tastes like diabetes basically. Maybe one day you’ll let me take you to the food market out of town, they have loads of different foods there… including fish if we can’t find something else for you to like.” He smiled sweetly down at the siren and hoped his offer was at least worth a thought over.

Finny had been afraid Beau would be rather stunned at his lack of human foods, but relaxed that the wolf just found it amusing. He couldn't help to giggle at the wolf's expression and memory of eating seaweed, the siren himself loving the sea grass of sorts. His expression couldn't help to grow curious of this food market now, always wanting to taste more common foods humans eat.
"I'd really like that, though now I'm really interested in some of those foods you listed at first. What exactly can even be delivered here?"
All this talk of food was starting to make him hungry. His stomach seemed to growl in agreement with this. He ended up squirming out of Beau's hold so as to walk into his kitchen. He knew he had a container of cherries in there somewhere...

Beau had to think about the question Finny asked him, his face scrunching up in puzzlement as he tried to figure out what other foods other than pizza would be delivered. The young wolf could live of those things should his family let him. His face fell slightly in disappointment as Finny squirmed out from his arms. He whined quietly and tried to reach for Finny’s hand but the siren had already gone. Rolling on to his stomach, he watched his boyfriend and shouted after him.
“I think most places deliver now… I know the pizza places do and they even do ones with fish on!” He called out, pausing for a moment to see if he could hear Finny’s reaction to this great news. Sighing, he carried on to try explaining that he didn’t really eat much else other than the sweets he seemed to obsess over and those places most certainly didn’t deliver. “Umm, there is also Chinese and they have a fair few fish foods but I tend to avoid them so I couldn’t tell you if they are nice or not. Sorry. The sweet and sour is nice though but I’m not sure you’d like it… I don’t know what else to suggest.”
Pouting slightly at his lack of knowledge, he climbed to his feet and followed Finny to the kitchen. He didn’t hesitate in sneaking up behind the other and wrapping his arms around him again and playfully tracing small kisses across his neck before he pulled away. Glancing around the room, he found himself with a smile on his face as he held Finny’s hands. “I suppose we could always make something up here? It could be fun… depending what you have in?“

Finny had been going through his fridge trying to find the bowl of cherries. He had the shelves inside stocked with various cuts of fish and a large container of his salt water mix he could drink. He was pushing through everything before looking to pop his head back out at the mention of fish from Beau. the siren had no clue what sort of fish could be on a pizza other than maybe some little fresh water kind but he was very much curious of it now. He heard the other suggestions but he was still very much afraid to try anything aside from his usual diet.
"I think pizza would be an interesting thing for me to start with,"he had started to go through the fridge again,"I think i have a little list of food service numbers from when-eep!"
he had squeaked and given a jump when Beau had chosen to join him in the kitchen and wrapping his arms around him. He shivered at the playful kisses but managed to get some space and an arm free to keep looking in his fridge. He had seen the smile to the wolf's face, but as he turned back he had found what he had been looking for.
"Um i don't really think we can make something...I have cooking utensils yes but um....i only have things to make sushi if i feel up to eating rice and not just fish in general..."
The siren used his hip to close the fridge as he slipped his hand free from the wolf's. he leaned against the counter and facing beau after grabbing a bowl to put the cherry pits and stems in.
"So i should get the menus I've gather in my kitchen drawer?"
He then started to eat a few of the cherries, nearly seeming delicate in the matter.

Listening to Finny go through what he had in his cupboards made beau wrinkle his nose slightly as he grinned teasingly at the lack of choice. He had no idea and couldn’t understand how anyone could live of one thing, or rather one lot of the same things. His eyes widened slightly as he watched the siren pull a bowl of what looked to be cherries from his fridge and he curiously took a step closer to see for sure what they were. He hadn’t actually tried a cherry before, only eaten and drank cherry flavoured sweets and drinks which always seemed to make him slightly more hyper than usual.
Finny’s word barely registered as he watched the siren eat the small red fruits with hunger in his eyes. He even whined quietly before a slight blush rose in his cheeks and he quickly looked away again to try train his concentration elsewhere. Only then did Finny’s words sink in and he eagerly nodded his head. “Oh yes. Of course. I hope it doesn’t disappoint you but even if you get the seafood one you could always take the topping off… that’s what I sometimes do when the base is icky. It all depends where you get it form… did you know the best pizzas are the thin based ones because that’s what they were originally made like in Italy… I’ve always wanted to go to Italy…”
Beau stopped his rambling when he realised he was pacing the kitchen and talking at 100 miles per hour. Seconds later, he was by Finny’s side again and looking at the cherries with wide, curious eyes whilst unintentionally biting his lip. Raising his eyebrow, he glanced at Finny hopefully as he began to bounce lightly from foot to foot, the younger pup in him coming out. “Umm... finny… i-I haven’t… can I have one please? Pretty please?”

the siren didn't notice how Beau had been eyeing his food at first but did watch with amusement in his face at how he was pacing the kitchen and talking rather fast. He giggled at the sight really, always finding it endearing when the wolf rambled. He reached into one of the drawers of the counter with a free hand and took out a menu that had been left taped to his door when he first moved in.
"It's cute how you go off like that ya know."
He smiled before watching again at the near puppy like behavior. He ended up picking up one of the cherries and holding it out to his boyfriend with a silly and overly happy smile.
"Of course silly! Just don't eat the pits okay? They aren't all that tasty. But I learned this little trick I can do with these."
He then took another of the cherries and put the entire thing in his mouth. He spit out both the stem and pit but it seemed that he had managed to tie a knot in the cherry stem. He put the pit into the bowl with the rest of the unbeatable seeds before just holding up the knotted cherry stem.
"I can't exactly remember what my being able to do this means but the reactions people give me are pretty funny."
He giggled light heartedly before moving from the counter to try and order pizza. He ended up just getting a cheese and then one with pepperoni. He was very much curious of it all now.

Beau was too busy trying to retain the happiness he felt when Finny held out the cherry to object to his boyfriend’s previous statement. Jumping lightly from foot to foot, he didn’t even object or argue with the fact that something else he had done, Finny had found cute. He didn’t even take in what the siren said about the stalks until it was too late and he’d already popped it in his mouth. Chewing, his nose scrunched up some as he made to remove the stalk and pit whilst all along keeping his wide eyes on Finny.
Once Finny had removed his own stalk, Beau’s expression took that of astonishment as he reached out and took the knotted stem and gave it a thorough examination. He found himself grinning again as his cheeks felt to burn some before he quickly placed the stalk on the counter and finished chewing him own cherry. He had to admit, the small red fruits tasted a lot better in drinks.
Smirking, Finny’s innocence made his roll his eyes slightly as he found a comfortable spot by perching on the side of the kitchen counter. “Oh, it means something… but I’m sure it’s not really anything… important…” He looked away as though he’d grown shy though kept the small smirk across his lips as he waited patiently for Finny to order the food, his stomach growing louder every minute.
Frowning at the racket he was making, he took his own stalk from where he’d had it kept in the palm of his hand and took Finny’s momentary distraction to try it himself. Five attempts later and feeling like he looked like a hamster on drugs, he gave up and placed the stalk on the side with a frown. Reaching out, he placed a hand on his boyfriends shoulder and turned the siren to face him. From there, he wrapped his legs gently around the other’s hips and placed a kiss against the boy’s head with a smug grin and waited for him to finish on the phone.
“Ok, tell me if this is weird… but right now I am extremely jealous of that stalk… that’s not weird is it?” he asked, a teasing glint in his eyes as he found himself eyeing the stalk in a mock glare.

Finny giggled at Beau not even having listened to his warning about the stems and pits, the expression priceless to the siren. He wasn't surprised at Beau looking at the newly knotted cherry stem as if it were fascinating, but blinked in innocent confusion lined with a pout at not being given an answer on what it means.
"Well aren't you going to tell me?"
There was a bit of a pout even in his voice before he had distracted himself with ordering food. For the most part it had gone over well up to the point he could see the wolf trying the same trick as the siren with little effort. He smothered a giggle as he was finishing up the order only to be turned around. Finny almost forgot he was on the phone and quickly finished up the phone call. He was pink in the face considering he was currently unable to move from where he was due to legs wrapped around his waist. He hugged beau as a means of hiding his face before looking up with a pout again at the statement.
"Well maybe if I knew what my being able to knot it meant I'd be able to answer."
It wasn't a very strong pout as he seemed easily distracted by reaching a hand up to play with the wolf's hair. He had taken up playing with Beau's hair over his own as of late, something he felt he just needed to do sometimes.

The pout on Finny’s face when realising Beau was keeping him in the dark about his trick was enough to make Beau giggle and pulls his boyfriend in for a tight cuddle, taking his time so he could think of the best way to explain it. Once he released Finny, he felt slightly awkward as to what to say and kept giggling rather childishly whilst trying to look serious. By the time he managed to speak at all he had colour in his cheeks and was trying to not make it sound so rude.
“You just don’t give in do you?” he giggled, raising his hand to lay it delicately on Finny’s cheek whilst he leant forward to kiss his lips with the lightest of touches. “Ok, here’s the thing…” he exclaimed, dropping his hand to sit back up and clear his throat. “People genuinely believe that those of us that have a certain control over their tongues are also good at other… things?” He raised an eyebrow at Finny and glanced downwards as discreetly as possible before glancing back at Finny to see if he had understood any of it.
