Beau hummed happily to himself as he got himself cleaned up. The water seemed to wake him up even more to the point that when he was done, he could barely stand still nor stop singing absent mindedly as he dried himself down and started climbing back into his clothes. He hoped it was going to be at least slightly warmer outside than it was the day before having not brought a coat with him; then again, he wasn’t going to be outdoors for too long anyway and it was nothing a nice, fresh, hot coffee couldn’t fix.
Once he had done, he took five minutes trying to tame his hair in the mirror but realised in slight horror that nothing was going to keep his hair from taking a mind of its own that day. Naturally, it was starting to curl more than usual because it was still wet and the wind outside would surely only make it worse. Groaning, he ran his hands through it in a quick attempt to flatten it but gave up and huffed. Leaving the bathroom, he then went on to find Finny in the kitchen eating something out of a box that made Beau wrinkle his nose up. “That… is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen…” he said without thinking, crossing the room to find a glass so he could have some water. Realising he didn’t want to offend Finny or put him down; he stopped quickly to look at him apologetically and quickly corrected himself. “I mean… it’s probably a good idea you’re eating though… just in case you don’t like anything on our way. Umm… it’s not disgusting really… Are you ready to go?”
Feeling the colour rise in his cheeks as he realised how unsure he sounded, he carried on looking for a glass and hoping his slight insult would go unnoticed as he changed the subject.

Finny was still humming happily as he was finishing up with mixing his saltwater mix for the day. He had emptied a majority of the container that once held Eel, making him just finish it up and wash the dishes. He looked up with a jump at hearing Beau say something followed by his expression. The siren couldn't help to pout for a moment. He loved fish with a passion, but he could understand that not everyone liked it, cooked or not. He started to put his dishes away as the wolf started to try and cover up his comment on Finny's choice of food being disgusting. The siren just giggled, noticing how Beau seemed to be looking for something.
"It's okay you think it's gross, honestly as a guppy I thought some fish was really gross too. Ate nothing but kelp for a year. Just be happy I wasn't eating Eel while it was still alive."
He giggled again, Trying to stifle it before hearing what sounded like light rain outside. He couldn't help to frown at this, pulling two glasses down from a cabinet before rushing off to the bathroom.
"We can leave as soon as I brush my teeth and change, wasn't expecting there to be rain."
He had set one of the glasses on the counter before taking care of what he had said. He returned wearing jeans, sightly heeled boots, and a white sweater that looked a little big for him. He had even grabbed an umbrella that he had hooked on his arm. He put his water bottle in his bag before looking up to the wolf with a smile.
"I'm ready to go when you are."

Beau’s mind was preoccupied with searching the surfaces of Finny’s kitchen worktops but he did hear the small giggle the siren gave out. In return, he stopped looking so flustered and let out a light giggle himself, relieved that he hadn’t said anything to rash that could have offended his boyfriend. He shuddered again at the mention of eating eel alive but kept his mouth shut to save him opening it and letting his disgust be known again. The boy had always been squeamish when it came to stuff like that.
Once Finny had taken the glasses from the cabinet, Beau bounded forward to start filling his with water whilst making a noise of acknowledgement in Finny’s direction as the siren disappeared back to the bathroom. Rain? He hadn’t expected any either and now found himself listening to the sound of pattering from outside. A glum look crossed his face as he drank slowly from his glass and wondered over to the window. It didn’t look to be pouring down but still enough to ensure he spent the day feeling like he’d been through a clothes washer at work.
Sighing, he turned back to look around the room, still seeing new things he hadn’t noticed the first time. Finny’s arrival had his attention drawn back to the boy and a rather smitten smile creased his lips again. He was still getting used to the siren’s unique style and loved to see the different outfits the boy chose each time they met. Everything seemed to compliment him and beau couldn’t help but feel himself drawn to the siren once again.
He quickly made his way back to the sink and placed his glass in the basin. “I’m pretty much ready.” He said, his hands patting at his pockets to make sure he had his phone and keys before he grabbed his jumper and pulled it over his head. “Are you sure you are going to be warm enough?” He asked as he made his way back to the front door, stopping to glance at Finny with a questionable look. It didn’t bother him being generous and giving out his jumper to Finny on cold nights but the rain was a different story.

Finny smiled at the wolf, always liking to see such a happy expression on the wolf's face. He twisted the end of his ponytail between his fingers as he waiting on Beau to finish searching his belongings. He couldn't help to giggle though at the wolf asking if he'd be warm enough. He walked to his front door and opened it, starting to open up his umbrella just within the lobby.
"I'm a cold water fish, so I can deal with cold rain over just a cold night. "
He held his free hand out to Beau and locked their fingers together with a smile. Stepping outside, he made sure that beau was able to take refuge from the rain along side him under the safety of his blue umbrella as they headed to the shops.
------------------------
Finny let Beau lead the way for the most part into the shopping district. The rain had let up some but it was still a light shower. The siren did a combination of clinging to Beau and hiding beneath the umbrella as they walked. Finny couldn't help to get a little curious now of this music shop and Sammy.
"So how old is your brother? He owns this shop right?"

Beau was thankful that Finny shared his umbrella and had managed to keep the majority of the rain from seeping through his clothes. It didn’t take long before they reached the shops and most had just started to open. He checked his phone and realised they were a tiny bit late but nothing for Sammy to get irate about.
He was humming quietly to himself with a bounce in his step when Finny questioned his brothers age. Beau actually had to furrow his eyebrows as he thought having never really taken an interest in how old Sammy was. “He’s 24, or close enough.” He answered with a light shrug, not really seeing why it mattered anyway. “And yes he does. When he’s not assisting at the school he spends pretty much all of his time there.”
Glancing at Finny, he gave the siren a quick smile before finally coming to a stop in front of the shop his brother owned. Inside the window were a range of different guitars and other stringed instruments. Beau only ever took an interest in the guitars because his brother had been trying to teach him about them from a young age and it seemed to be the only thing they connected over. The shop itself wasn’t very big and had a couple of isles with CD’s and vinyl’s, the rest was just instruments that needed fixing which was usually left for Beau to do.
He squeezed Finny’s hand reassuringly before he opened the door. Above it, the little bell jingled making their presence known and he went on his way to pull Beau in to the shop close behind him. Before he went to find his brother, he turned around to Finny and pulled him in for a cuddle. “Sammy is a bit of a moron at times so don’t take notice in all he says. He tends to talk without thinking… more than me… so don’t worry if anything he says is a bit blunt or sounded to be angry. He doesn’t mean it.” He gave Finny a quick kiss on the forehead and then let go, turning around to wonder to the back of the shop in search of his older sibling.

Finny nodded, still being very much curious of the shop while Beau talked. Doe eyes looked around as they entered with a more childish curiosity to them while he closed his umbrella. He tried to stay away from music shops, always wanting to sing or hear music that he could sing to for that fact of what his voice could do. He giggled at being hugged not really wanting to let go before looking confused at what Beau said about his brother. He could only nod again before the wolf left to find his brother. The siren walked around the shop, only stopping to stare at a harp. It seemed that it needed a string or two replaced but the siren didn't seem to care. He loved the sound of harps and how as a child he could sing with them, a soft smile coming to his face at the memory. He started to hum a little lullaby, trying not to sing or pluck some of the harp strings as he just stared.

In the back of the small shop Sammy was busy going through the paper work from the day before, a look of concentrating plastered to his face which didn’t budge even when Beau walked in. “Sammy?” he asked quietly, waiting to get his brothers attention before he told him he’d brought someone to the shop with him. Sammy gave a small nod and a noise that sounded like acknowledgement so beau carried on, kicking the front of his trainers anxiously against the floor. “Umm… Finny is here. I was hoping you’d like to meet him…” he started but was cut off when Sammy stopped what he was doing and looked up to him from where he sat with tired eyes. For a moment the office was silent before Sammy groaned and ran his fingers through his hair. “Beau… I have told you before and I will tell you again, there are to be no distractions in the shop whilst you are working. I can’t afford to pay up if you lose your concentration one more time and break something else.”
Beau looked at his brother, his bottom lip sticking out slightly in a huff before he looked back at his feet and whined. “But he’s come all the way here in the rain to see you now. I can’t just tell him to go again. He wants to see the shop… please come out and say hello at least and then he’ll go. I promise.” From the desk Sammy looked at Beau through his narrowed eyes. “Look, you’re already late. I’ve been here since the break of dawn trying to sort through all of this. It’s about time you did more here to help out rather than spending time being a lapdog to that boy.” Beau stopped himself and groaned slightly, looking around the room as the colour rose in his cheeks. Now he felt he had over stepped the line. “I’m sorry Beau. You’re young, in love and want to have fun, I understand that. That was out of line. I’ve just had a stressful day so far and I haven’t even opened up yet.”
Beau nodded his head to show he was listening and glanced back up at Sammy with his usual puppy dog expression which always changed his brother’s mind. Sighing, Sammy rose to his feet and pushed Beau lightly in the shoulder and in the direction of the door. “Come one then… let’s go say hi to this new person that’s making you smile so much.”
Beau grinned now and practically bounded back through the door with Sammy not far behind. He rushed straight up to Finny and grabbed the sirens hand before turning back to his brother with a look of sheer delight. “Finny-this-is-Sammy-and-Sammy-this-is-Finny.” He said quickly, barely leaving a space between his words as he glanced hopefully form one to the other. Sammy looked at Finny and raised an eyebrow before extending his hand out. “So you’re the kid that’s trying to steal my brother then?” He asked with a slight hint of humour in his voice.

Finny had been absorbed in looking over the harp still as he humed. He was about to start actually singing a few of the lines but stopped as his hand was grabbed by Beau. It made him jump in surprise as he was brought back to the reality of the moment as the wolf introduced him to his brother with rather quick words. He looked up at the other and couldn't help to want to hide and shy away behind Beau. Finny may have been a social butterfly with beau but deep down he was a shy and nervous boy when it came to people. He stayed where he was and gave a hesitant and nervous giggle at the comment before seeming near afraid to shake Sammy's hand.
"Um yeah, I guess you could say that..."
He didn't really know what else to say as he took his free hand now and tugged on his ponytail that was draped over his shoulder. He was falling back into the habit of pulling his hair out of being so nervous. He didn't really know how meeting just one member of Beau's family would go, so it just made him stress a little more.

It seemed that even though Sammy was stressed and tired he was at least making an effort to not be a moody git. Beau smiled happily from the side lines as he watched his brother and Finny shake hands, almost giddy with happiness that he’d finally introduced Finny to at least one of his family and it appeared to be going well.
He watched Finny pull at his pony tail and slipped his hand away from the others to wrap it around the others shoulder and pull him in to a side hug. “He’s not stealing me Sammy… I’ve asked him too but he won’t take me up on my offer.” He joked with a laugh, turning his head to see what Finny had been looking at before they entered the room. The harp wasn’t in the best shape and had been left there some months now, an unwanted Christmas present that had been locked away in someone’s attic for the last few years.
Sammy grinned at Finny and nodded his head, clearly amused by how shy the young siren looked. “I wouldn’t pull on your hair like that, eventually it will all fall out and then you’ll regret it.” He said with a wink, turning back to the shop and moving to open the cash register. “And I’m not gonna bite you, not whilst he’s around anyway, so you have no reason to be nervous.”
Meanwhile, Beau was looking full of concentration as he fiddled about with the harp, rushing to the desk to take a few different strings before rushing back to measure them up. “Just ignore him Finny.” He grinned, cutting the strings to size and starting to rewire the old instrument. “He’s just trying to scare you a bit, a typical big brother thing really.”

Finny couldn't help to avert his eyes to the floor, finding a touch of comfort at Beau throwing an arm over his shoulders and putting in his own joke. He blushed at the comment on how the siren pulled his hair. He couldn't help to say sorry though, not catching that he was explaining he was nervous.
"Sorry, nervous habit..."
He picked up on what Beau was saying about how Sammy wasn't going to hurt him. He didn't move from where he was standing as he watched both boys start to work on things. He couldn't help to pale a little at what Sammy had said about biting, his nervousness spiking again before Beau spoke up and said it was just something brothers did. He had a soft, slightly brighter smile to his lips at the words. It made him feel a little better before watching what the wolf was doing with the harp.
"I should get going. Need to study for some of my classes. Um...talk to me when you can?"
He was still shy as he was in the presence of Sammy but he could for the most part be himself with Beau. He gave the wolf a quick peck on the cheek with a smile before waving bye and heading back outside and to his apartment.

Beau couldn’t help the small giggle that escaped when he glanced up at Finny between rewiring strings. He knew the siren grew nervous easily but he hadn’t expected Finny to be nervous about Sammy. Then again, he was used to having a brother that always tried to scare people Beau introduced to him. He wasn’t quite sure if Finny had any siblings of his own; he had never gotten around to asking but from the way the siren acted it looked like he was oblivious to the fact that siblings personally went out of their way to make things awkward.
Seeing the faint smile on Finny’s lips he decided against saying anything else on the matter and to just let Finny take his own time in getting to know that Sammy wasn’t all that bad. Hell, the guy hadn’t stopped questioning the kid about his new ‘friend’ since Beau had opened up to him and now it seemed, from what Beau could tell, that even Sammy was still slightly nervous as he looked over his shoulder to see the eldest one peering back at them over some papers he had picked up.
Rolling his eyes, Beau turned his attention back to Finny who announced he was leaving and pouted some, wiping his hands on the back of his jeans and creating black marks to streak down them which he more than likely wouldn’t notice until he came around to taking them off later. He leant forward to let the siren kiss his cheek before watching him wave goodbye and head outside.
From behind the counter Sammy waved with a cheery smile on his face and yelled out that the siren should visit again soon before he looked back at Beau with a strange smile on his face, one that Beau knew all too well. Before Sammy could start questioning and teasing him, Beau hurried out of the door without a word and could still hear Sammy shouting after him when the door closed after him.
Squinting both ways through the rain, he could see Finny a little ahead, clearly noticeable with the umbrella and started to run after him. He almost knocked someone of their feet before he caught up with the siren and reached out to take the others hand.
“Finny… wait.” He exclaimed, a little out of breath and water dripping on to his face from his now matted hair. He pulled the siren close and pushed the umbrella back slightly so he could take Finny’s face in to the palm of his hands and kissed him. It wasn’t a normal kiss that you’d expect to see someone give their loved one when they were only going to be apart for only a little while but one you’d expect to see when the couple weren’t going to see each other for a really long time. Amongst the dizziness and clinging, Beau barely noticed the rain falling around them, soaking through his clothes and sending chills through his body because in that moment, he didn’t care. He was more than content to feel the sirens breath come and go with his own. It was deep, meaningful and passionate all at the same time which left Beau feeling light headed for some time after when he finally pulled away. He kept his fingers laced in the sirens hair for a moment before a crooked, smug grin creased across his lips. “I’ll call you when I get home Ok.” He said, still out of breath only this time it wasn’t from the running.
Giving the siren one last kiss, he turned on his heel and ran back to the shop, barely noticing that the rain had starting to soak through his clothes.

Finny hadn't put much distance between himself and the shop as he tried to keep himself confined under his umbrella. Even with his charmed earrings he was always cautious of getting water on his skin. He had started to hum to himself with his steps until hearing Beau and his arm be grabbed. He looked wide eyed and confused as to what Beau needed that he ran out in the rain to meet the siren again. He locked eyes with the wolf for a moment before being stunned by Beau pulling him in for a kiss. He stilled for a moment surprised before just sinking into the kiss. He had nearly dropped the umbrella as their lips remained locked. Finny couldn't help but to want to keep the kiss going, the fact that the wolf was drenched in rain water not helping his resistance. When the kiss did break, he looked a little dazed for a moment, trying to catch his breath. His hair was still tangled with Beau's fingers, his hair tie having been shifted loose, leaving his hair to be soaked across his shoulders. He couldn't help to smile back at the grin, still trying to catch his breath. He could only nod at Beau agreeing to call him later, still a little shocked with what just happened.
Accepting the kiss sweetly, he waved the wolf off before realizing he was starting to be soaked by the rain. He suddenly became flustered as he ran a hand through his hair to manage it some and hid under his umbrella again. He couldn't help to skip with a smile on his lips as he made his way to his apartment. He more than likely wouldn't get much studying done now as he was just a tiny bit giddy.
