outfit~*~ Amanda had been keeping busy ever since she'd kissed Mason to push away what awkward feelings had been awoken in her. Jack had been in the hospital and she hadn't even been able to bring herself to see him as she didn't want to be yelled at again. Instead she'd decided to do something nice for the wolf and had spent every free moment she had to rebuild his cabin. Magic had burned the place down so it was only fair that magic be used to rebuild it. It had taken a lot of time and energy as well as plenty of sleepless nights, but she was finally done. Magic was woven into every piece of wood she'd used, every brick and every inch of the place and Jack might not be too happy about that, but she'd done it as a precaution. The place was now magic proofed to the best of her ability so at least the place could never again be brought down by magic unless a witch knew how to undo the spells she'd worked to protect it. It would be the perfect place to train their daughter without worrying about damages when the time was right. When she was done, Amanda barely had any energy left to use magic and she'd slept for a whole day to at least have the energy to do anything at all. Sure, she still had urges to hurt people when they annoyed her, but she didn't have the energy to do anything about it at the moment. In fact, she was pretty sure it would be a few more days before she could work any serious forms of magic unless she truly decided to hurt someone and drain them of their energy. Which she wouldn't do as she was trying to turn over a new leaf so she could see her daughter again. Jack didn't pick up when she called though and she couldn't convince her parents to call him either so she'd ended up digging through the phone book to find Hunter's number. She was silently begging for him to not just ignore her and reply to her text. She hated that she had to go through the beta to get to Jack, but she knew there was no other way. Finding that she couldn't bring herself to actually call the werewolf as she was actually scared he'd just hang up on her, she settled on sending him a text message: Hunter, please meet me at the grill? I have something for Jack, but he won't talk to me. Just come and hear me out, please? -AmandaWhile waiting for a reply, the redhead ordered herself a non-alcoholic beverage and sat down by a table in the corner, absentmindedly playing with the straw of her drink, silently praying that Hunter would at the very least hear her out. And without poking around in her mind, because she would find it in her to work magic on the wolf if he tried. Digging through her purse, she found that she had something to restore some of her magic and was seriously toying with the idea to just get her boost to feel better, but she decided against it for now and just waited rather impatiently for Hunter to either show up or tell her to go to hell. There really wasn't anything in between she could imagine at this point.

Hunter was at the hospital with Jack once more, helping the alpha wolf with anything he needed. As the beta of the pack, he was around Jack alot and the two had become close. He thought of Jack as a fatherly figure and was really the only adult around that he truly trusted. Hunter knew of Mason's and Amanda's secret, he hadn't told Jack yet because he wanted the man to get better before he just go off and blab the news that was surely either break the wolves heart or piss him off to the point where he might go on a rampage.
He looked down at his phone once he heart it beep, thinking it was maybe Vincent texting him but he was surprised to find that it was Amanda. He cocked an eyebrow at what the witch had texted him and looked to Jack who was asleep at the moment. He was half tempted to just ignored the text, but decided to see what she wanted and who knows it might actually make things better between Jack and her.
He told Jack he had to leave but he would be back in about two days, he wanted to spend time with Vincent for a couple of day before going back to his Beta duties. AT the moment he was the alpha of the Bitter Springs pack since Jack was incarcerated at the moment. Once he left the hospital, he headed over to the grill where Amanda was waiting for him and parked out front. He pushed his sunglasses up on his head and walked inside.
He found the red head sitting at a table for two and sat down across from her. He was going to be nice, plus he didn't want her knowing that he knew what her and Mason did. He gave the witch a small smile. So what is this thing you want to see me about? He asked.

Amanda was still toying with the small orb in her purse, tempted to just break it open and recharge her batteries. When she finally decided to stay away from it and closed her purse again, her hands were shaking as she held around her glass. Her nerves were getting the best of her as she was waiting for Hunter to show and she eventually had to fold her hands to keep them from shaking. No matter how horrible she felt right now, she knew that if she was going to get Hunter to get Jack to talk to her, she couldn't power up again and had to wait for things to recharge naturally.
Finally Hunter arrived and sat down across from her. If she hadn't taken her time with her hair and makeup that day, it would have been obvious she hadn't been sleeping much for a while as well as how exhausted she truly was at the moment. Everything would be better if she could just use her back-up to get through the next few days, but she knew that it wasn't a solution at all.
"I need to talk to Jack, but he won't let me," she started, not entirely sure how to go about telling Hunter what she had in mind. After all, she didn't exactly know the werewolf all that well and she was rather annoyed that she had to go through him to get to Jack. After helping them with the fighting, she'd thought at least he'd see that she could be helpful and could care about something other than herself, but apparently that wasn't the case.
"I need to show him something, a peace offering if you wish... If I tell you, you can't tell him. No matter how loyal you think you're being, because it would ruin the whole surprise." Biting her lower lip slightly, she couldn't help but tap her fingers rather nervously against the glass in her hands as a way to stop her hands from shaking. "I promise it would be worth keeping it secret from him until he could see it himself." All she could think of at the moment was to find a way to stop her nerves, to get back what was currently lost due to her own carelessness. Sure, she still had all her magic deep down, but the ability to use it was lost with the energy she'd exerted recently and would take time to come back if she wasn't going to actively seek out another power high.

Hunter didn't really like Amanda to much. From what Jack had told him, she was a egotistical and power hungry well..bitch who tries to blame everything on him and other people. He didn't know if she would be down right rude to him or not, but didn't really care if she was. He was here to see what she wanted since Jack didn't want anything to do with her and just him seeing her would only make Jack get worst.
He ordered a soda and looked back to her, cocking an eyebrow at what she said. A peace offering? What on earth could this witch give or do foor Jack that could possibly make things better between the two? He listened as she explained that he couldn't tell Jack anything and sigh. Well what exactly is this peace offering you have.....because I hope it can cover the fact that you kiss Mason behind Jack's back. he said, not caring if she knew now and glared at her.

Amanda had nothing nice to say about any of the wolves really, mainly because of her falling out with Jack and preference for vampires. Sure, she knew she enjoyed blaming every little thing on everyone else rather than face her own problems, but Jack really had no business getting upset over who she slept with. It wasn't like she slept with his friends or had put Kailah in any danger. Until Mason that was and she knew full well that it was entirely her fault to begin with.
Maybe it was the lack of energy, maybe it was just because she felt completely spent, but she wanted to make amends. Maybe he wouldn't let her have her daughter all to herself anytime soon, but if there was the slightest possibility that she could be with her daughter under supervision, she'd take it. Didn't matter what she had to do really to get back to just seeing her daughter, she just wanted to hold her at least one last time before Jack decided she was better of without her.
Right now, however, anger flared up in her again at Hunter's accusations, however true. "You know, I don't have to excuse my actions to you of all people. I don't even know you. If Jack had bothered to pick up his phone at least just once, I would be honest with him about it." Stopping herself right there to take a sip of her drink before folding her hands again to stop the shaking, she glared at Hunter for a moment. "For the record, Mason and I are just friends and I'd never sleep with him, even if I'm sure Jack has been sleeping around already."
Taking a deep breath to calm herself again, Amanda remembered why she'd asked Hunter to come meet her in the first place. It wasn't to be rude or mean to him, and she knew she couldn't possibly win back Jack's trust by doing something silly to Hunter. Looking down at her hands, she mumbled what she'd wanted to be a surprise for Jack: "I rebuilt his cabin." Biting her lower lip for a moment, she looked up at Hunter again and couldn't stop the shaking any longer so she abruptly put her hands in her pockets to try to hide it from the werewolf.
"I just want to hold my daughter one last time before I'll sign whatever papers he wants to give him full custody. I'll go away, never bother him again, I just need to hold her once more... He can even have his whole pack of wolves at the ready, I don't care." She was desperate, and the desperation was clear on her features and in her voice. She would do anything for that one last chance.

He just shrugged at her getting angry and pulled out his phone, reading a text that was from Vincent. He smiled at what the witch said and text back. He wasn't going to argue with Amanda over this.
Well, she had a point there. Jack had slept with one other person after him and Mason broke up. You have a point there....I haven't told him about it though...I want him to get better.... He said.
It was clear that she was desperate just to see Kailah and he wasn't really sure if he should even try this....but maybe it would help mend the relationship between Jack and her. He sigh and ran a hand through his hair. I'll keep your secret then......is what it.....? He asked.

It annoyed her that Hunter didn't have the decency to leave his phone out of the conversation until she could get him to do what she needed of him. Or at the very least get him to understand why she wanted to see Jack to begin with. She truly did try not to get too angry with him just yet though as she was after all trying to get him to do something for her.
"It'd be better if he heard it from one of us, when he's better, but Mason also deserves to know that Jack is back to his old tricks as well. You can't just take his side in everything without thinking about his actions in the whole thing as well," she said calmly. She was once more playing with the idea of using the spell in her purse on herself, but she thought better of it when she heard Hunter ask if that was all.
"Well, I sorta need you to get him to come out there in the first place, when he's feeling better. Since he doesn't want to hear from me, I can't exactly ask him to come out there, now can I?" Pulling the small vial out of her purse, she placed it on the table between them. It gave of a faint glow, and she placed her hand over it to cover it up. "This is for Jack. I bought the spell of another witch, it should help with his healing and he wouldn't know it came from me. Take it, or don't take it, that's up to you. I owe him from saving us on the battlefield."

He just shrugged at what she said about Mason knowing what Jack had slept with someone. Well fine, one of you can tell him and if he wants then he'll tell Mason...I am not going to say anything like I said he shouldn't know anything till his better.....quite frankly I don't think Mason and Jack's relationship is healthy and I've already told Jack this...and even he agrees on it but he really loves Mason... He said.
Well when he get better I'll take him out there....do you want to be there when he sees it? He asked, wondering if she even wanted to be there to see Jack's reaction.
He looked at the vial of potion and nodded, gently taking it from her. Thanks.....I'll give it to him. He said.

She could agree to the terms of their unspoken agreement. One of them would tell Jack about the kiss and Jack would tell Mason about sleeping around again. "I never said they were good for one another, but that's for them to decide, not us. I'm not getting involved in their relationship again, it was messy enough the first time around." That was all she had to say about the matter. What truly mattered the most to her was that her friend, Mason was happy, and if that was with Jack, then she wanted for the estranged couple to get back together.
It had seemed the most natural thing in the world to be there when Jack saw the cabin, but suddenly she wasn't so sure anymore. What if he wouldn't even approach the cabin when he noticed the amount of magic that had gone into building the place, even if the traces would vanish with time. "I'd like to be there, maybe there would be the perfect place to finally just talk. I spelled the place so only the most basic of spells can be worked inside the protective circle." The spell protection of the place truly was a stroke of genius on her end as Jack couldn't hold her magic over her head when she physically was unable to perform it within that particular place of the woods.
When Hunter took the potion from her, she smiled slightly and quickly placed her hands back in her pockets in an effort to keep them warm. "Thanks Hunter, you didn't owe me anything, I appreciate you coming here today," she said in a gentle tone. It didn't matter if she didn't care much for the wolf, but she owed him now for hearing her out and agreeing to help Jack out to his new cabin.
"Despite everything, I'm glad he's still hanging on, just so you know." The redhead had to get out of there soon and go find something useful to keep her busy so she wouldn't do something silly. The last thing she needed and the only thing she wanted, was a boost, but she was trying to change. If not for Jack, then for their daughter.
