The Somber Falls pack was growing in numbers and the wolfs have accepted him as the alpha, he was also their council member. Jack was a fair alpha, he treated the omegas and beta's like they were equals and never abused his power. But he wasn't a very forgiving or even tolerable one either. Their had been a few incidents that were unacceptable in his eyes and the pack members responsible were punished severely.
Another full moon had past and the pack members had disperse, they didn't just reunite during the full moon but they did have their own lives to live and he respected that. Jack was still laying in bed, snoozing till the sun went down and yawned as he emerged from bed.
Showering and dressing, he headed out the door and locked it behind him. The forest was all around him, course no one could see the cabin except for the pack and him. He stepped out from the protective barrier and headed out into the dark forest.
As he walked, he smelt another werewolf but this one he didn't know. He cocked an eyebrow at this and headed for the clearing where the smell was coming from. He came to a clearing and saw a young boy there, this one wasn't a member of his pack yet. Werewolves had to join the pack, there were rogue wolfs here but they were undesirable in this city, outcast and had probably doomed them of their fate of being killed by a hunter.
You seem alittle young to be a rogue. He commented and cocked an eyebrow. He was alot more bigger than the kid, in height and body wise. Anyone who was a werewolf could sense he was a alpha and wondered how the kid would react to seeing him.

September was always one of the best times of the year to Beau. Everything looked so pretty around the forest with the red and orange leaves. Much nicer and more pleasant to look at than green. It wasn’t too hot either to the point he had to stay indoors to stop himself getting over heated and everybody that knew Beau knew he hated being cooped up indoors.
On this particular afternoon, Beau had left his place of work in the town centre and had headed over to the forest for an hour before he had to return home to help his aunty make tea for the rest of his new family. He loved the forest, it gave him a sense of freedom which he had never been allowed to have back home. In fact, he hadn’t been allowed anywhere other than with his pack by the beach back home because they feared their secrets would get out. You can’t keep a kid locked up forever though. He had acctually never seen a forest before he had moved here and therefore everything fascinated him.
He kicked at the leaves that had fallen to the floor creating small clouds of gold as they scattered around him. He was thinking about the last time he had been here. He had brought Finny with him and was happy to say that he was very pleased he had. Every time he was with the young siren he felt his heart flutter uncontrollably. It had only been a couple of days since then but he was already missing him terribly.
He was just cutting across one of the openings, a small meadow where lots of bright flowers grew in the summer when he picked up the scent of something that made his blood freeze and his heart stop. There had only ever been one other person he knew with that scent and that had been his father. But his father was dead; he’d seen him murdered before beau's very eyes so it couldn’t be…
Immediately he started to panic. The memories of that night flooding back into his mind from where he’d kept them locked away for so long. His uncle had taken the place of alpha after the murder had been commited. It had been his uncle that had decided his father’s fate when he had found out that the alphas son had been socialising with the outside world, socialising with the vampire boy and girl.
He didn’t know what to do, fear flooded through his veins as he started to think that the worst was about to happen. Had his uncle found him? If he had, the young werewolf would be dead within seconds. He couldn’t think straight. All he wanted was for his brother to appear and make the bad thing go away. He didn’t hear the man approach until his voice cut through the meadow.
Spinning around, his eyes landed on a man who was definitely not his uncle. He stumbled backwards in the hopes of putting some distance between the two of them as he stared at the man with wide eyes. The man’s words confused him. He had never heard of rouge before and because of this, daren’t say anything out of fear of angering the man.

This boy isn't a rogue.... He thought, cocking an eyebrow at the boys reactions to seeing him. He acted as if seeing him brought fear to the boys heart. Usually when loners or rogues come in contact with a alpha, they did tend to act more differently, but this fear was more...personal.
Jack watched the boy for a moment before saying. Mmmm so your just a loner.... He mumbled more to himself before taking a step closer but stopped.
I'm not going to hurt you boy.....its just that most of the werewolves in Somber are in my pack......only the loners or rogues aren't....and I have never smelt your scent before. He said.

Beau didn’t like how the man was looking at him. Neither did he like being called a loner. As the man stepped forward, beau growled threateningly though it sounded more like a puppy than the wolf he had hoped. Again, he stepped back, his eyes searching nervously for somewhere to hide but the forest floor was bare.
He stopped for a second to hear what the man had to say, cocking his head slightly as he felt the small wolf inside him wake and be on full alert. It didn’t really matter that the man explained he wasn’t going to hurt him, he didn’t trust other wolves as far as he could throw them, which in his case, wasn’t very far at all. He especially didn’t trust the alpha’s. From his experience, they were mean, back stabbing and downright evil. The only other wolf he did trust saw Sam.
As he took another step back and placed a tree between himself and the man, he found his voice again. Though he tried to snap back at the man, his voice betrayed him as he whimpered softly from behind the tree where he now hid. “I’m not a loner. My brother is here too, we moved here together… and… and if you hurt me he’ll… he’ll… just don’t come any closer.”
He wasn’t sure why he had brought his brother in to it but for a moment, it did help him feel a little safer. Inside his head, he was pleading that Sammy would turn up out of nowhere, save him and that everything would be ok. Shaking slightly, he took another deep breath and tried to carry on.
“Who are you... And what do you want?"

Why did he frightened this boy so much? The boy was a werewolf, he shouldn't have feared another one of his kind so much, even if he was a alpha. It didn't occur too him that maybe something happen in this boys past to make him frightened of other wolfs, especially alphas.
He watched the other hide behind a tree now, trying to threaten him by bringing his older brother into the mix. He merely cocked an eyebrow at the threat, not even a trace of fear going through him. He didn't step any further though and just watched how fearful the young pup was.
I'm Jack....and I don't want anything.....I am the alpha of a pack and I try to met all werewolves here that I haven't met.[/color' He merely said.
A familiar scent caught his attention, he sniffed the air and couldn't help but to realize that the scent was none other than Finnys. Did the young merman know this werewolf by any chance? Finny seem to have a thing for male werewolves and wondered if maybe this boy and Finny were friends....or maybe more. Well, that would be awkward as hell, seeing as Jack was the one who took Finny's virginity and maybe even got the boy hooked on werewolves.

From the other side of the tree Beau could hear the man talking again. He answered the question and respected Beau’s wishes not to go any closer which Beau was thankful for. He peered around the tree and watched the man with interest and puzzlement. He didn’t fully trust that the stranger meant what he said so kept himself half hidden.
“Well... I was just passing through. I… we haven’t been here long. Sorry if this displeases you but can I go now? I need to get home coz my family will be worried…â€
It was half true, though he still had half an hour left until he was expected back at the small woodland cabin he lived in with his family on the other side of the woods. It wasn’t technically in Somber. His new family liked to keep to themselves most of the time, believing that the people from Somber always seemed to find trouble that they did not want to be part of. Looking at his feet and the ground beneath it, he kicked the front of his sneakers softly against it as he tried to stop the tears welling in his eyes.
“Umm… I’m Beau by the way. Am I in trouble for being here? Coz I didn’t mean to be. I didn’t realise this place had a pack let alone an Alpha. I am sorry again. I will never come back if you let me go. Please don’t kill me.â€

Jack wasn't going to keep the other wolf here, he was free to leave if he wanted. He only wanted to know the young wolf alittle better, seeing as he was the council member to the werewolves and felt like he should know the wolfs of Somber Falls if he was going to represent them in the council.
I am not going to keep you here, if you want to leave then you can.....and no your not in trouble...... He said and sigh.
Why did the boy act like he was going to rip his head off for just being in this place anyway? Before Jack could ask some more questions before the boy left, his senses were suddenly on high alert. He quickly looked to his right and saw two huge werewolves, but these wolfs weren't apart of his pack and he had never seen them before.
The one flagging the big brown ones right flank growled and bared his fangs at Jack and Beau. The black haired one now jumped at Beau, but not before being knocked into a tree by Jack who jumped in between the two and broke the wolfs neck. His fangs were bared now, claws extended and he looked back to the boy, his eyes were not a bright angry blue.
Jack quickly turned his attention to the brown haired wolf when he finally charged. He was knocked to the ground with the wolf ontop of him, snapping his jaws dangerously close to his throat. Jack threw the wolf off him and the rogue now turned his attention to the boy.

Again the man didn’t sound angry. Beau looked at him with wide eyes as though he didn’t understand what was going on. None of it made any sense to him. Any lone wolf would have been questioned before being put in to a permanent sleep in his old pack. His lips twitched slightly as he was about to ask if he could go then but his question was cut off as something else caught his attention.
He stepped back, this time pushing himself away from the tree and ready to run. Two wolves were closing in fast and from the look on the strangers face, it was clear they weren’t part of his pack. Beau watched as they broke through the clearing with a menacing growl, clearly not here to make friends. He didn’t have time to react before the first wolf pounced. He was the biggest one with thick black hair and had to be at least twice Beau’s size. Beau stumbled backwards and tripped over as he tried to figure out what he was meant to do. Luckily, the stranger was much faster than the vicious black wolf and had pounced at it just before it had chance to reach Beau.
Beau scrambled across the ground, looking for a way out as the stranger took the big wolf on. The scuffle was broken by what could only be explained as a sudden crack and beau spun around to see the lifeless body on the ground with a newly formed stranger. The man had changed and was now looking at him in the most awful way which made Bea whimper and jump back behind the tree again. Peering around, he was the stranger in a struggle with the other wolf and didn’t know whether to stay and help or make a run for it. Then again, he wasn’t really left with much choice as the stranger threw the black wolf off him and the wolf decided to now take a keen interest in Beau instead.
Beau panicked and in a result to that, felt his own growl building in his throat. Like all creatures that felt threatened, there was only one option left for him. He felt the pain that shot through his body multiple times as his own fangs and claws grew, his eyes turned dark and hiss true form was revealed. He hated that part. He hated being a creature all together but he couldn’t see any other choice right now. Scared and trapped, he flung himself at the brown haired wolf, jaws open and teeth snapping wildly at its face. For a few moments, they rolled around clawing at each other but the young wolfs size was nothing compared to the fully grown wolf. He felt the fangs sink in to his flesh on his side and yelped out; swiping his claws across the older wolfs face before curling up and accepting that he was more than likely about to die.

Before Jack had a chance to prevent the rogue from attacking the young wolf, the rogue attacked. Jack watched for a moment, letting the younger wolf duke it out before a sudden, sharp yelp was heard and he watched the young wolf curl up and was bleeding badly.
Jack growled and shift into his wolf form. He was a huge, black haired wolf with icy blue eyes and he practically knocked the rogue to the ground with just his weight alone and tore at its throat. The rogue finally died and he walked over to the younger wolf, pressing his nose against the his cheek and licked him to get him awake.

Beau stayed perfectly still, curled up in a ball with his hands covering his face. The half transformation had faded off leaving his human form vulnerable and weak as the huge wolf growled down at him. He could feel his T-shirt had become sticky and could feel his own blood trickling down his waist as his vision started to blur. He wasn’t sure what happened next but the sound of snarling and snapping teeth could be hear just a few feet away from him as he dropped out of consciousness and in to blackness.
He awoke to the feel of something warm and wet rubbing against his cheek. Wrinkling his nose slightly and raising a hand to swat whatever it was away, Beau had to take a moment to gather his thoughts and remember what had just happened. He was laid down in the dirt, his whole body aching a shaking and the gash across his waist was still bleeding. Wincing, beau tried to climb to his feet quickly, realising he was meant to be home ages ago. At least he thought it was ages, he had no idea how long he’d been out cold for. He jumped slightly at the site of the huge wolf and scrambled backwards to hide but collapsed before he had even made it a few feet. His side sent pains through his whole body every time he moved and he almost felt the need to cry.
Wrapping his arms around his knees and hugging them, he felt tears roll down his cheeks as he took in the scene around him. The two dead wolves, the blood soaked floor and the giant wold who he assumed was the stranger all looked terrifying right now. It was like something from a horror movie. He had moved to Somber to escape all of this, not be thrown back in to the middle of it. Whimpering, he turned to the wolf with scared eyes and almost whispered as he forced his words out.
“What did you do? You killed them? You actually killed them! I need to go home. It hurts when I breathe… It hurts a lot…”

The boy had lost alot of blood, the smell practically swam the area and it made him alittle on edge now. Jack didn't moved when the other passed out and waited till the boy regain his composure, only to be horrified again with the scene around him.
He finally transformed back into his human self, which was naked but he didn't really care right now. Without so much as a warning, he gently lift the other up. I killed them to save your life.....now come on I am going to bandaged your waist. He said.
He used his speed and came to the two story log cabin and opened the door, closing it with his foot and gently laid the boy down on the couch and went to the other room to put something on and get the first aid. Since the boy was a werewolf, his wound should heal rather nicely, but he decided to clean it and bandaged it.

Just as beau thought things couldn’t get any worse, the wolf changed back in to its human form and had everything out on show. Beau didn’t know where to look. He was mortified. Did the wolves around here do this all the time? He knew back home they always brought spare clothes with them to save this awkward situation.
Feeling his eyes closing again, he barely felt himself being lifted or the stranger’s words. He felt a strange sensation of calmness though as he looked up at the trees that blurred by. In no time at all he was being carried inside and laid on a couch. He didn’t make a sound as his blurry eyes glanced around the room. Using most of his strength, he placed his hand on his side and could feel the once gushing blood already slowing. He knew werewolves could heal themselves over time but had never had a wound to this extent before and it scared him.
He watched as the man returned, dressed and with bandages. He felt silly then, for his behaviour previously, especially after the man had helped him and saved his life. No werewolf he had ever known would have put their own life in danger for their own pack, let alone for an outsider. Staring up at the man through his wide eyes, he tried to speak though his words were muffled behind his sleeve as he chewed it nervously. “Thank you…”

Jack sat down beside of the young wolf and pulled out some white bandages and alcohol wipes. He heard the other say thank you and only nodded simply before unwrapping one of the disinfectant wipes and gently patted the wound on the boys waist. Once the area was cleaned, he quickly bandaged the wound and once he was done, took the boys now ruin shirt and simply threw it away.
"Get some rest okay......I'll help you to go back home tomorrow morning." He said and simply got some vodka and poured himself a glass.
"Are you hungry?" He asked now, figuring the boy might have been starving after having a near death experience. Jack was a good cook, so he figured that he could just wip up something for his new house guest.

Beau winced slightly at the feel of the strangers hands cleaning his wound. Yet another thing he had gotten used to in his old pack, you hurt yourself, you took care of it yourself, whether it were your fault or not. He’d been brought up in a dog eat dog world but at his young age then, he hadn’t been allowed to get involved with the fights or drama’s, he’d simply been ushered inside to sit and watch it all from his bedroom window. That had been his first fight and he hadn’t come out to great.
He watched with wide eyes again as the stranger took the remains of his T-shirt and threw it away, almost whining in protest before realising there wasn’t much he could do to save it anyway. His aunty was going to go nuts when she found out he’d ruined one of his newest T-shirts. She always said money didn’t grow on trees but as he had a sort of job, he didn’t really see what the problem was as long as he helped put where he could. He allowed the stranger to bandage him up before he remembered he was probably meant to be home hours ago.
Although the strangers words were not only kind but also tempting, he let out a small yelp, jumped up, winced and laid back again before getting flustered. “I need to go… My family, they will be worried… I was meant to help them with dinner and my cousin’s homework tonight…” Glancing out of the window he noticed the sun was already setting and groaned loudly, almost looking like he was about to cry. He started rambling on, mostly to himself as he started listing of why his meeting with this alpha was such a bad idea. “I’m dead… I am so dead! They don’t even know there is a pack in Somber! They’ll ban me from ever coming back when they see this… they think it’s safe here… but they never come in to town, what would they know… Oh Christ… oh dear god!”

The way the other wolf started to ramble on almost made Jack want to smack the wolf across the face and tell him to calm down. He cocked an eyebrow at the rambling, wondering why his family would want to leave if there was a pack here. Usually their was always a pack of werewolves if you came to a town that was inhabitant by gifted beings.
Why would your family get upset about their being a pack here.......my pack isn't going to hurt anyone. He said and cocked an eyebrow.
