It was good that he agreed to at least give the boy a chance. What he had to say about the matter of their daughter dating werewolves was a fair point though, but he also needed to remember who he was talking about. "Kailah is just as much of a wolf, and she's got magic on her side as well. I'm pretty sure she'd be the safest one out of the two." Not that she wanted to think about her daughter's sex-life when that time came. "Besides, it's just a dance for now, how would it be possible to lose control and hurt her?"
She couldn't help but add in a more jokingly manner: "If she were talking about going to the dance with a necromancer on the other hand, then I'd be worried. I watched Ana bring a two-thousand year old vampire to his knees at a nightclub with only the slightest of touches because he couldn't keep his hands to himself." She didn't need to mention how the two witches were more than capable of using the same little trick on mortals, especially not since Amanda had given up that way of life shortly before running into Ana.
"If she feels like we won't judge her and rather support her, maybe she'll just start being honest about these things... I never thought teens were this much work until now..." [/color]

Amanda did have a good point there when it came to Kailah. She was not only part wolf but she also had magic in her blood and that did give her a advatnage when it came to just regular werewolves. "Well you have a point there......." He said softly and sigh. He took a cloth and wiped the excess ink off her skin before turning the needle back on.
He couldn't imagine his daughter dating a nacromacer. They were very deadly beings in his eyes and thd thought of his daughter even going out with someone like that made him almost shiver.
"Your right....."He mumbled softly and finally after a hour had finished with her tattoo."Well I'm done." He said and started to clean his equipment off and smiled at her. "Just let me know when you want me to come and dinner and where and I'll be there." He said.

It was good that they could talk like adults about all this, after all, they were adults. And if they could agree to give the boy the benefit of the doubt, there would be no reason for Kailah to be rebellious about it. If there was one thing she was sure they wouldn't be able to handle it was a teen witch off to no good. Especially if you added werewolf in the mix.
Despite all the years they'd been together and how close Ana and Kailah had become, Amanda had never let her girlfriend demonstrate her powers on her daughter. She'd made it perfectly clear that it was one thing to use them on her, but if she as much as hurt one hair on her daughter's head, they would find out who was more dangerous; a necromancer or a mother witch on a vendetta. Luckily, Ana had no interest in hurting witches for fun and Amanda trusted the woman more than anything.
Who knew a tattoo could solve so many problems before they got out of hand? It had been perfect though; she'd wanted it done for a long time and she didn't have to interrupt Jack during his work hours to talk about the boy their daughter was so interested in seeing. When she saw the finished product she couldn't help but grin at the wolf. "Thanks Jack, it's perfect. And I'll call you," with that, she paid for the job he'd done and went about her day until it was time to start looking at dresses.
Kailah wasn't too happy to learn that she'd talked to Jack about Aaron, nor that they were all having dinner, but she appreciated that they would at least give the boy a chance. It turned out Ana had a great idea for a dress and Kailah absolutely fell in love with the design for a southern belle dress she looked absolutely adorable in. They wound up getting the fabrics they needed for it and the witches would make the dress themselves, bringing a picture for Jack to see.
"Dad promised to be nice to him, right?" she asked nervously as they pulled into the restaurant they'd all agreed to meet at. It would more than likely be slightly awkward, but the moment the young hybrid laid eyes on the werewolf, she lit up and hugged him, apologizing for the parental supervision, rather embarrassed at how overprotective her parents could be.

Jack smiled at how pleased Amanda seem to be with the tattoo and couldn't help but to watch her leave for a moment efforts going back to work and finally finished with his customers when he got a text from Amanda on the dress. He smiled and thought that Kailah would look beautiful in that color.
Finally he gotten the text that he been waiting for and replied he would be done in about ten minutes. Aaron did smile and hugged Kailah back."it's fine.....I'm not looking forward to your dads reaction though." He admitted and never told Kailah that he was apart of the pack.
Jack finally drove up and walked into the restaurant and found Amanda sitting with two other people. The boy had blonde hair but he couldn't see his face. He sat down beside of Amanda and once he saw te boy, his eyes widen some before narrowing in a almost angry way. Aaron sigh."Hi.....alpha...." He greeted softly.

After dropping Amanda and Kailah off at the restaurant, Ana had headed back home again as it was none of her business really. Kailah on the other hand couldn't help but think that it was a really bad idea, despite everyone's reassurances that the dinner would go just fine. She'd liked to have another set of eyes on the situation really, but it seemed she'd have to do with her mother at least seeming to be on her side of it all.
Amanda had to say that Aaron seemed like a polite young wolf, and so far from the little she'd seen, Kailah really seemed to like him. No matter how Jack would react to it all. The three of them got a table and ordered drinks while they waited for Jack to arrive. While the students weren't old enough to have alcohol, Amanda had ordered a glass of wine for herself as she had a feeling she'd need it.
When Jack finally arrived, the tension around the table was practically touchable in the air. Amanda had made sure Jack would sit across from their daughter though, so he wouldn't be able to do anything childish like kick the younger wolf under the table or anything like that. "So, you two know each other then. Great," she said with a nervous chuckle and was glad she'd ordered the wine now. No, this wouldn't be awkward at all.
Kailah looked at her father and frowned. "Mom said you promised to give him a chance..." Turning to Aaron, she pushed him slightly out of annoyance; "Why didn't you tell me you were in the pack...?" It didn't change anything for her though, she still wanted to go to the dance with him, it just annoyed her that he would have to do what Jack asked him to, what with her dad being his superior in the pack and all.

Jack had half a mind to come across the table and attack, but he kept himself calm. He barely caught onto Amandas nervous laugh. He did look to Kailah and his eyes soften some. He did promise that he would give whoever it was a chance......but the fact that it had to be from his pack didnt help the situation.
Aaron looked to Kailah and gave her a apologetic smile."Im sorry for not saying anything......I was afraid that you wouldn't want to go to the dance with me." He admitted.
Jack frowned now."You've only been in my pack for a week and already spotted my daughter.....you know what I do to the wolves in my pack that try to take a fancy to her and yet you still tried...." He said and shook his head.

Amanda wasn't the only one that was worried. Kailah knew how much Jack hated when the pack wolves looked at her the wrong way and she was worried she might have gotten Aaron in trouble with his alpha because she'd wanted to go to the dance with him. She still wanted to go with him, it just made things more complicated. "What made you think that?" she asked curiously, honestly wanting to know why someone would think that the whole alpha thing made a difference really. She wasn't in her dad's pack, after all.
Turning her attention back to her dad, the cutlery started to shake slightly on the table before Amanda laid her hand on Kailah's across the table and she just glared at him. "What about what I want, dad? If I didn't want to go, I would've just said no," she couldn't help the annoyance, at least her magic wouldn't get out on control as long as her mother was there.
"So Aaron, why Kailah? I'm sure a handsome guy like yourself could get anyone to go to the dance with you. Why ask the one girl you knew would get you in trouble with your alpha?" Amanda needed to know what his intentions were before she could make up her mind about him. If she didn't know what he wanted, she couldn't say whether or not she would stand by Kailah's choice in a date.
"Mom!" Kailah was really embarrassed now. Why did they have to be so insufferable? She was old enough to go to a school dance. Instead of trying to make sense of the conversation, she buried her nose in the menu, trying to figure out what she wanted to eat with great interest to avoid further scrutiny.

Jack was curious about this as well. Of corse the first guy learned his lesson and the second one did see what had happened but he still tried. He had a feeling though that they tried to only get at him, their were a few people in his pack that wanted the title if alpha and using someone against him would be the best way. The thought that this boy was just using his daughter to claim a title made him actually growl now.
Aaron only smiled when Amanda asked the golden question."Because your daughter is a beautiful and wonderful girl.....she's different from the girls at my school." He said.
Jack glared at him."How do I know this isn't some ploy to get my title..." He said. Aaron just smiled."If you like alpha, you can get hunter to read my intentions.....but I'm telling the truth." He said and he was being honest.

Amanda couldn't help but chuckle at Aaron's reply. It was the perfect answer to a perfectly good question. Just what a mother wanted to hear really. "Of course she's special, there are only a handful of people like her in the world. Hunted by werewolves, despised by witches and feared by vampires, that's the fate of a werewitch I'm afraid," the boy needed to know exactly what was at stake for Kailah. Werewitches hadn't fared well in the past, especially not since they had played a major part when it came to overthrowing the vampires superiority in the old societies of the supernatural.
The boy seemed honest enough to her though, and she studied him for a moment. "There's no need to bring Hunter into this," casting a quick spell on the boy Amanda could see he was telling the truth. "He's not going to try to take anything from you Jack. He'd be an idiot to try, you can take him in a fight any day and you've got a few powerful witches on your side if he should try to use our daughter against you." Normally, Amanda wouldn't get involved with pack stuff, but Kailah was different. Anyone who tried to use her for anything would deal with her magical mothers.
"I'm so glad this isn't awkward at all... Can we just order now?" Kailah said, absolutely horrified at the turn of events. She was glad though that Aaron didn't seem to want to be with her because of her father, but rather despite him. Offering him a slight smile, she looked at her dad again and smiled at him too. "So I can go?"

Jack knew what Kailah's future might be like. He didnt like that she would be hated....but what she was. Was indeed rare and she was quite powerful for a werewolf and witch...combine the two together and she could be feared if word got out. He kept his dark eyes on Aaron now, feeling a spell in the air and knew it had to he from Amanda. He waited till she reassured him that the other wasnt trying to ale his title.
That did make him feel better, but he knew that things in the pack would be alittle weird now. He looked to Kailah when she asked of she could go."If you want to then yes." He said.

There had been times when Amanda had wanted to just find a werewolf and convince him to try to turn her, not because of the magic, but because she'd be able to protect her daughter more efficiently. She already was a powerful witch, and this time she'd earned it instead of taking shortcuts or getting impatient with it, but the physical strength was something she envied Jack from time to time. Besides, it would provide her daughter with the safety of not being the only one like her around town. She'd never actually go through with it though, she knew Jack would never forgive her if she did it on purpose.
Kailah was glad when her father agreed she could go to the dance. If he could let her go with Aaron, maybe it meant he would ease up a bit on the overprotective nature as it was getting her nerves. She knew her parents only wanted what was best for her, she just wished they could trust her to make her own decisions. She'd heard about how her mother had acted when she was born and how she'd had to work to even get back into her life, so why shouldn't she be allowed to try at her own life?
"I'll come straight home and not get in trouble," she said with a grin. Turning her attention back to Aaron, she was glad when someone came to get their orders. It meant they were at least getting somewhere and both women already knew what they wanted and ordered it quickly.
"I assume I don't have to tell you not to blab about just how special my little girl really is? You wouldn't like the consequences if you do. Part of Jack's pack or not, you hurt my daughter and you'll be in for a surprise." Amanda didn't care if a wolf was part of Jack's pack, if he hurt her daughter, he'd have some angry witches on his back.

Aaron smiled once Jack said that Kailah and him could go to the dance. He knew though that once the full moon approach that his alpha wouldn't exactly go easy on him. Jack watched as Kailah and Aaron's eyes lite up and he only ordered a triple cheeseburger with fries and handed his menu to the waitress. Aaron ordered pretty much the same thing and kissed Kailah on the cheek.
Jack said nothing else, but couldn't help but to smirk at Amanda's threat."Only if you can curse what's left of him once I'm done.....he knows what I do to wolves that have tried to use Kailah against me...." He said with a cruel grin.
Aaron visibly shivered but tried to be brave for Kailah's sake. He knew that taking a chance to go out with Kailah would have consequences if he wasnt careful. He really did like Kailah though and wasnt going to scared off by anyone, not even his own alpha.

Being allowed to go to the dance with Aaron was only a small victory, especially when both her parents weren't shy to threaten the older wolf if he hurt her. Knowing they weren't joking about it, she promised herself that if things didn't work out and she got hurt, even if it was just emotionally, she'd never let her parents know. She didn't want anyone to get hurt because her parents couldn't let things be.
Amanda chuckled at what Jack had to say. "Oh you can kill him and I'll still be able to curse him Jack, Ana would make sure of that. Living with a necromancer does have its advantages." Glancing up at Jack over her glass of wine, she couldn't help but be amused though. Warning Jack had paid off, as he'd had time to get to terms to with the idea that Kailah would actually be interested in dating sooner rather than later.
"Stop trying to scare him," she said with a sigh, and closed her hand around Aaron's, smiling at him to let him know she wouldn't let them hurt him as long as he didn't hurt heron purpose. She really did like the guy and her parents didn't have the right to try to scare him. She couldn't wait to get out of the awkward dinner really. Best part of not being part of any coven or pack was that neither of her parents could really tell her what to do for any other reason than that they were her parents.
"Sweetie, you'll learn soon enough. We're letting you go and have fun, aren't we? And we're making the dress exactly like you want it. Cheer up."

Jack looked at Aaron then to Kailah before taking a sip of his drink and called his boss till their food came. He and Aaron wolfed down their food. Finally the awkward dinner was over."Are you going to come home with me tonight, Kailah?" He asked. Aaron had a arm around Kailah and smiled down at her, promising to text her whenever he got home.
Jack narrowed his eyes some at the arm around Kailah but he simply took out a pack of smokes and lite one up, sitting down in the drivers side and looked at phone.

Dinner went relatively smooth, even if Amanda barely touched her salad after the initial threats were over with. She wasn't really hungry after the whole debacle anyway. Besides, she was anxious to get home to Ana and their dress sowing. It would be fun, and they could discuss their plans for the perfect fairytale wedding as well.
Kailah wasn't looking forward to going home with her dad, but she didn't need any trouble because she didn't want trouble. "Yeah, I guess," she replied. Leaning into Aaron, she kissed his cheek and smiled at his promise. They would have to be careful about everything and she didn't want to get him in too much trouble with her dad.
"Who are you waiting to call?" She asked as she got in the car with her dad. "Thanks for being cool about it all," she kissed her dad's cheek and smiled at him.
