Emerald Magic was founded by the three greatest witches and wizards of their time: Tiberius Dhies, Ethel Probus and Maurice Nocte. They wanted a safe place for young witches and wizards to learn how to use their magic, and found what they believed was the perfect place for a school. What the founders didn't know at the time was that the surrounding areas belonged to other supernatural creatures and they struggled for a while to set some ground rules that allowed them a certain portion of the land for the school.
The truce between the school and the other species hasn't always been an easy one, nor the truce between the other species themselves. From time to time someone comes along thinking they can change everything and try to take control over all the land, wanting everything to themselves out of greed. Little did anyone know that Maurice by accident set in motion a series of events that would eventually lead to the school's ruin.
Three years have passed now since the school was more or less laid to ruin as old secrets were revealed and things just seemed to fall apart as a consequence. The school now has reduced capacity, but the remaining staff worked hard to rebuild what had once been and the rebuilding is near completion. Some secrets of old are still hidden within the very stones of the castle-like building, but only someone who knows where to look will be able to find them now.
An uneasy truce has been brokered once more between all the inhabitants of the land as everyone seemed to realize just how secluded and safe they all were from the human world in their chosen sanctuary. Since the rebuilding of the school, people seemed to realize that they all chose the same place to build their domains for a reason.
No one knows just what the future will hold now, but hopefully everyone will get along, despite their different agendas and world views. Only time will tell if the inhabitants have learned their lesson this time.
