A hour or so later....


Jack had pushed his hair back, laying back in bed and was naked underneath the covers. He had been way more gentler with Amanda than the first time they had sex, he wanted to make sure that the baby wouldn't be effect by anything hard and fast.

He looked at the red head beside him and smiled.

Amanda snuggled up next to Jack when they were done, using his chest as a pillow. She certainly hoped he wouldn't treat her like she was made of glass just because she was pregnant. If he kept doing that, she knew she would positively snap at the werewolf and possibly say some things she'd regret later.

They made their doctor's appointment without trouble, even found a physician that had dealt with supernatural pregnancies before so they knew more about what to expect. Now it was time for another full moon and Amanda was feeling more restless than usual. If it hadn't been for Angel stopping by and curling up in her lap all night while she was playing video games, she probably would have lost it.

Once morning came, Amanda was curled up on the sofa with her cat, the console controller still in her hands and the tv on. It was the only way she'd really been able to stay in all night rather than going out and getting in trouble.

Jack had to go out and see his pack. They had always met up every full moon but he knew that there would have to bee sometimes when he couldn't now that Amanda was pregnant. He wanted to make sure that Hunter could fill in the role of alpha when he couldn't. He knew that Amanda was rather restless during the full moon, the baby showed his or her werewolf genes very prominently.

He came home to find Amanda on the couch, smiling some at her and put a blanket over her and heading to his room to shower.

Amanda smiled slightly in her sleep when the blanket was pulled over her, but she didn't wake. What finally did wake the witch was Angel stepping on her in order to lie down comfortably on the blanket. Smiling slightly, she realized the controller was still in her hand and put it on the floor, before she lovingly petted her familiar's back. "You should head back to Amber and make sure she's safe," she murmured to the cat, before she got a indignant meow in reply. "Soon then."

Amanda loved her cat more than anything, but it seemed Angel had decided to stay with her cousin for the most part as she didn't like werewolves much. There was nothing Amanda could do about it, besides, Angel kept an eye on Amber and hung around when Jack was out for longer periods of time. Who was she to tell her familiar what to do anyway? She was just happy to have company when Jack wasn't around.

Wrapping the blanket around herself, Amanda got up and finally turned both the tv and the game console off. She heard the shower running and decided to make some food for them while Jack was cleaning up. Soon the smell of fried eggs and bacon wafted through the apartment. She'd even gone to the trouble of toasting white bread and spread butter over them. What could she say? staying up playing most of the night had worked up an appetite.

Jack smelt food, his stomach growling and he quickly clean up, turning the shower off. He dried off and put on some underwear and black running shorts. He had a towel around his neck, rubbing some of the hair to dry of more as he made his way into the kitchen. He came up behind Amanda, kissing her cheek and wrapped his rather muscular arms around her."Morning...." he said.

Amanda had just plated the food when Jack came up behind her and kissed her cheek. She leaned into his embrace and smile some. "Have fun howling at the moon?" she asked with a slight giggle. The very idea of two of the two of them trying to be a real family scared her. It would certainly put Jack in a unique position to cut deeper than anyone else if he decided to wrong her. Accidental or otherwise.

It was a new level of vulnerability for the witch. She was used to standing on her own two feet and not having to rely on anyone else. Sure, she would've had to rely on Jack either way if they'd decided to keep the baby without trying to be a couple. Maybe it was the fact that she didn't really know him really well yet that made her afraid of being hurt.

She really should have eaten something sooner though and not stayed up so late playing games. She knew she needed to eat something, but the very idea of eating anything at the moment made her feel sick. "You know, we should try going out or something, get to know each other better..."

He smiled."Yeah, pretty much same ol same ol." He said and sat down with the plate of food, hungrily eating and looked up at her at the proposal she mentioned. "Yeah that would be nice." He said.

In truth, they didn't really know each other very well and they were having a baby. He did have some worries about how they would be as a couple and what would happen if they decide to now be together, would they even be on good terms with one another.

Amanda was glad that they could go out and get to know one another properly before the baby arrived. After all, they were going to try to be a couple, so they needed to know they could trust each other. Even if they didn't work out together as a couple, she knew enough about Jack by now to know that he'd be a good father and she was sure they could always make it out as friends if all else failed.

Going to the fridge, Amanda pulled out a ginger ale and brought it with her to have with her food. Sure, she couldn't really stand the taste, but it seemed to be the only thing that allowed her to keep her breakfast down if she was already feeling slightly sick by the time she got to eating.

"Any good ideas where to start?" she asked before she took a bite out of her food.

He was still in love with Mason, but at the moment he didn't think that it was going to go anywhere so he might s week try and move on, besides Amanda and him were going to be parents and he wanted Kailah to have both parents like he did. He looked up at her." We could go on a date tonight if you want." He offered. He knewof this place in town that was somewhat new, they had the best steak he had ever tasted.

Amanda truly hoped that Jack didn't expect the world of her, especially not right away. She was afraid of getting her heart broken, she always had been. Her connections with other people had been mainly friendships and casual sex, mainly because it was less complicated than having to deal with another person on an intimate and personal level on a regular basis. She would do her best to make it work though, for their child.

"That sounds lovely," she said with a smile. She was doing a good job keeping her morning sickness at bay so far, so who said she couldn't pull it through an entire date night without getting sick. Being a witch had perks, she knew who to ask for remedies that wouldn't hurt the baby.

Once she'd had her breakfast, Amanda snuggled up to Jack on the couch. "I think she likes being around you. My morning sickness seems to disappear completely when you're around."
