Jack had Amanda back at his apartment, they found out she was pregnant with his baby and she had left her old job working for vampires and would be staying with him. She wasn't even showing yet, but he didn't want her to be there any longer, if he could hear the baby's heart beat, then surely they could as well and didn't know how they would react to her being pregnant.

Amanda was sleeping while he was busy sorting out his thoughts with this. It kinda just happen, they're was no planning on either side. Her bags were piled up by the door and he was trying to figure out what to do. Should they try to be a couple, guess it wouldn't hurt but he could see her rejecting this idea. He had to take a shot of vodka, trying to figure out what to do till she woke up.

Amanda had been freaking out after she found out she was pregnant. At one point she'd even considered not telling anyone and just getting an abortion. Somehow it hadn't felt right though to go through with it without talking to Jack first, and in the meantime she'd convinced herself that she could do this if he'd help. So she was really relieved when he offered her a place to stay until she could get back on her feet as she couldn't really stay with the vampires anymore.

The process of getting her stuff and moving out had been more exhausting that she'd thought it would be and she was glad to get out of her dress and just curl up for a little while to get some much needed rest. She didn't get to sleep for very long though as she wasn't calm enough to really get some decent sleep. She'd gotten about an hour though, before she got up again.

At first, Amanda was slightly confused as to where she was, but when she remembered she was at Jack's she got out of bed to look for him, forgetting all about the fact that she was still only in her lingerie. Looking through the cupboards, she found a glass and poured herself some water. "I don't know what I'd done if you hadn't offered me to stay here, thank you," she said with a slight smile as she turned to face Jack. She'd realized she wasn't properly clothes by now, but didn't really care at the moment either. He'd seen it all before anyway.

Jack put the top back into the vodka bottle when he heard Amanda coming from the bedroom. He looked.her up and down,.noting.the lingerie. She wasn't even showing yet but he.could heard a faint little heart.beat that.was his unborn childs. It made him smile at hearing this but looked back to her when she said thank you.

"No need to thank me." He said and stood up, putting the vodka back and leaned against the counter, folding arms across his massive amd tattooed chest."So what now?" He asked.

Amanda appreciated that Jack put a lid on the vodka when she walked back into the room. She'd miss the alcohol for sure, and she had to quit smoking now too, but that would be a small price to pay for the joys she would have later on. Right now she was just feeling sick most of the time, and she couldn't wait for that to pass really.

At the question, Amanda couldn't help but chuckle slightly. "I have no idea. I should probably start looking for a new job," she said and walked around the counter to her bags to pull out one of her shirts and pulled it on. She didn't want to just strut around in her lingerie like that, she wasn't comfortable enough to act like she really lived there just yet. "Probably should find someplace to live too, unless you're really OK with me staying..." She didn't know what Jack had in mind, if he wanted to try being a couple or whatnot.

He wasn't sure how he felt with Amanda finding a job and working while pregnant, but alot of woman now and days do that so it wasn't like she couldn't. He just nodded and gave her a smile."You canstay as long as you like." He said. He didn't know how to word this properly. "Would you ever...want to try abbr maybe become a couple....if it doesn't work then it doesn't but we don't know till we try." He said.

Amanda knew she should take it easier now than she had before, just to make sure nothing went wrong, but she also knew that she would go crazy if she didn't have something to keep herself busy with. She didn't want to annoy the hell out of Jack either because she felt pent up. That just wouldn't be fair to anyone.

When she learned that she could stay as long as she liked, Amanda couldn't help but smile slightly. She didn't want to inconvenience Jack too much though, and if she was staying she definitely needed to find some way to at least help out around the place. Helping to pay for stuff only seemed fair.

"And if it doesn't work out, we'll just raise the child as friends? As long as we can both agree on that, I don't see what we'd have to lose by at least trying?" she said, biting her lip slightly. If they did try and it didn't work, she would need to know they'd be able to still raise the kid together as she knew she couldn't do this all on her own.

He would agree to that. Just because they don't work out doesn't mean that he would abandoned his daughter."Of course." He said with a small smile. He walked over to her, touching her lower abdomen and smiled even more."I love hearing the babys heartbeat." He admitted softly.

He wrapped an arm around her and held her close to him."I actually hope we can make things work...I loved having both parents there to raise me." He added.

It was good to know that they would be together in this even if they couldn't be together. But it somehow felt right to at least try, she felt like they owed it to the baby to try. Who knew, maybe they could all be one big happy family. If not, they would probably end up not speaking at times, because Amanda knew herself well enough to know that if it didn't work out, she'd enjoy pushing Jack's buttons if he hurt her.

Amanda rested her hand over Jack's and smiled at him when he admitted that he loved hearing the heartbeat like that. She hugged him when he held her close like that, determined to try her best to make this work. "I hope we can too, it seems wrong not to try, we'll be a family soon enough anyway," she said and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Besides, any girl would be lucky to have you," she chuckled, leaning her head against his chest for a moment, just listening to the steady beat of his heart.

There really was no point denying that he had skills, and was a good person for not just ignoring her once he learned the truth. She hadn't met a lot of people who'd stand by someone they'd had a one night stand with when they got knocked up. It had happened to a friend of hers once and the guy had just dished out money for an abortion without even talking it over.

He smiled down at her. He.did.wonder.how this.would all.pan out. They were getting together because of baby, but that didn't mean it was the right way to go, but they had to try for the baby. He did smile more at her compliment, giving her red hair a kiss. "And any guy would.be lucky to have you." He replied.

He walked over to the couch, sitting down with her."Have you told your parents?" He asked.

There was no way of knowing how this could work out until they'd tried. So, despite her initial hesitation towards getting involved, she figured it was better to try with a supernatural than anyone normal. At least Jack wouldn't freak out because of her magic and she would understand that he had to be out at least once a month to run with the wolves. Sure, he probably had to be out more often than that, but the full moon was the only time she would have absolutely no say in the matter.

Once they were sitting down, Amanda curled up next to Jack, finding comfort in how much warmer he was than her. "I haven't had a chance to yet, but dad probably know already. Grandma likes to watch over us all and tell dad when something's up," she said with a chuckle. It was strange thing for outsiders, but her dad really was a psychic, or medium as he preferred to be called.

"So how do we do this? Do we go on dates, or just stay in and get to know each other?" she asked quietly, not sure really how these things usually worked.

Jack smiled some."I wonder how they'll react....." he said. He kept an arm around her, his finger tips lightly running over her arm. He looked down at her question."We can do both....but right now lets just get to know each other, I'll take you on a date tomorrow night....also when do you need to go to the doctor next?" He asked. He didn't go with her when she found out that she was pregnant, he did want to go to the rest of them.

Jack had an excellent point, her parents probably wouldn't be too pleased with her for this. Even if she hadn't planned it. This little creature growing within her was a gift, or a curse, who knew just yet. She knew she'd grow to love the child, and possibly even Jack if she let herself. As it was, she had no idea where to even begin as she hardly knew Jack.

The finger tips running over her arm felt good and his answer calmed her down immensely. "Sounds good," she said and nuzzled Jack's neck gently. She couldn't say she'd really been in a serious relationship before, but she was willing to try as it might be best for the baby if they at least could give a real answer as to why they weren't together if it didn't work out. If they tried and it didn't work, they could be honest and say they'd tried.

"I've got an appointment in a few weeks, but I'll let you know closer, I want you to be there. I might need to change doctors to someone a little more well versed with the supernatural though," she said with a chuckle as she leaned up to place a soft kiss on Jack's cheek.

He didn't know Amanda that well, hell they meet in a graveyard and then had sex, she left before he gotten up. He knew that they had a one night stand and he was fine with it. He did worry about her finding him though and announcing that she was pregnant and site enough it happened. He already loved the baby, as soon as he heard the baby's heartbeat he was in love.

He nodded. "That might be best..." he said, one of his other hand that was free ran down to get lower abdomen. He placed his hand where he heard the heart beat, smiling some."I love hearing that little heartbeat...." he said softly, leaning down and kissed her.

Amanda had been so sure everything would be fine, but being raised a witch she'd also been raised to believe that everything happened for a reason. They were meant to have this child together and for better or for worse she knew she wouldn't have gotten rid of the baby without at least asking Jack what he'd wanted to do. If he'd wanted nothing to do with her, the choice would have been simple.

The redhead was hesitant at first, but she kissed Jack back before she pulled away. "If we're really doing this, you better not sleep around, even if I get all hormonal and stuff, or fat," she warned him before she took the initiative to kiss him this time. She was going to make an effort to make this work, even let down her walls, making it easier to get close to people and possibly get hurt. If he ever hurt her, she would never forgive herself for trying this in the first place.

He chuckled some at what she said, kissing her back before breaking it. "I promise." He said with a smile and kissed the top of her head. Jack wasn't a cheater, if he wasn't Ruth Amanda then yeah he would sleep with other people, but when he was with someone, he was one person man.

He held her gently in his arms, smiling down at her. "What would you like to eat, I canget us something." He said.
