-beast shift: Bernadette has the ability to change shape into various animals. As she gets older she is able to obtain more animal forms, but at the moment she is only able to turn into a Grizzly Bear, a Stoat, a Eurasian Eagle Owl and an Amazonian Manatee. She is able to maintain full animals forms so long as she isn't in pain or ill. She also has the ability to turn half way into each of these animals(I.e. gains bear claws, owl wings big enough for short lengths of gliding,etc).

-beast tongue:Bernadette is able to understand and communicate with all animals. She can easily mimic the sound of various animals, including those outside of what she is able to turn into. This can seem odd to some as to her it all sounds like perfect English while to others it all sounds like excessive noise an animal is making and she is merely copying it. ]

Other: her hair is an outrageous mane, sometimes smothering her if she isn't careful when she sleeps. Has a few tattoos, one being a garter belt of words on her thigh.

Personality:Bernadette can be a bit of a spitfire. She's always running off to have her bit of fun, no matter if it could get her in trouble with her parents. She loves to have a blast whether it be at a party, swimming, or just basking in the sun while her friends tell jokes. She never backs down from a challenge, unable to help with how people try to think because she's petite and curvy means she can't pull her own weight in a challenge. She can be a little bit sensitive about her hair, not always liking when people try to touch the crazy mane she has. She's difficult to keep still as she just wants to have a blast in her youth.

History: Bernadette grew up around all sorts of animals. She was well aware of her family being a long line of shape shifters, but until she was 14 she wasn't too aware of how attuned they were with animals. Both her parents worked with animals, her father a successful zoologist and her mother an animal behaviorist. Her and her brother would help train animals with their mother, Bernadette taking to it more so than her brother.

Around the age of 10 she learned her first animal transformation, having startled her human mother when both Bernadette and Bernard had managed to turn into grizzly bear cubs. Their father knew of how to shift into a black bear, having started to teach his children how to control their new abilities. Over time Bernadette had learned to take more animal forms, having learned she can even tap into the strength of these animals even when looking human. She started to become more rebellious then, going to parties and running around. Her father wasn't too happy to find her hanging around human boys when she should have been trying to date one of the many shapeshifter children around. She was defiant to this plan, only to have her party days on England soil being ruined by a hunter. She was nearly poisoned, the hunter having cornered her and planning to take her out when her brother managed to save her. Her family knew they'd have to relocate, her mother having heard of a town in America that was safe for them more or less.

She hasn't been too happy about moving, but she's taking this town as a fresh start, going back to partying and playing in the summer sun when she wasn't helping train animals to make a bit of cash. She's currently just floundering about, enjoying her life and pretending nothing went wrong to cause her move here.
