She really didn't realize what she'd just done until she noticed how Finnley was staring. Shit, she'd just messed things up for herself by being clumsy, wasn't that what had gotten her into this mess to begin with? Being clumsy enough to get herself killed in the first place? It was clear when Finnley spoke that he couldn't really believe his eyes at the moment.
"Fast hands?" she tried as an excuse to how fast she'd picked it up again. "Like I said, Bitter Springs takes some getting used to. I really didn't mean to startle you." How on earth was she going to get out of this one without telling the truth? How did one explain moving faster than a human could whilst still claiming there was nothing wrong with her conversational partner's eye sight?
"I could make you forget all about it, if you'd like?" she tried gently, reaching out to place her hand on his arm. She was probably a little colder than normal as well, but that was just because she hadn't gorged herself on human blood to stay normal temperature, she just had what she needed to survive. "The world is very different from what you've been led to believe."

Finnley seemed a nervous of things now, starting to think this girl might be a bit stranger than he was. He couldn't hear any of her tone in having fast hands, but did look even more confused when asked if he wanted to forget it happened. "How would you even-god you're cold!" He had pulled his hand back as the last bit of his words were nearly shouted. Some people looked back at them, wondering why he was being so loud. He looked around a bit nervous then, having not even noticed what she said about the town again. He got up from the table, looking at Gale like she could do something stranger. "I'm just-I'm gonna go now, nice meeting you Gal but...yeah." He didn't care if he had butchered her name since he couldn't hear it but he started to turn tail then and leave the area. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him or something. Might be a good idea to go see an eye doctor now too.

Amelita did her best to try to calm Finnley down, but he seemed too freaked out to really listen to what she was trying to tell him. Especially when she realized she really did need to be more careful about her feeding once he commented on how cold she was. Had it been longer than she'd thought already? She sure hadn't had a lot the last time, so maybe it was time to go home and eat something more substantial.
When Finnley turned and left the area, Amelita picked up her bag and walked calmly over to a more secluded area where no one would see her seemingly disappear before she used her speed and approached Finnley from the entrance to the mall rather than chase after him. Gently grabbing his arms to keep him from running off again, she offered a sad smile before she spoke: "Please, don't panic. I can explain everything if you'll just stay calm, ok?" That being said, she let go of Finnley and tried to gesture for him to walk ahead of her so they could go somewhere to talk.

Finnley was a little freaked out at the moment, heading straight for his car. Sure it might have been rude to just leave Gale like that after making a bit of a scene, but she did something not humanly possible! He just couldn't shake how creeped out he was. He was almost to the point of just running out to his car when Gale showed up again. He jumped as he pulled his arm away, staring at her with wide blue eyes. He noticed how sad her smile looked, making him start to feel bad with how he reacted to this. He took a few breaths as he watched her lips, making sure he understood right. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, looking unsure still. "alright, but try anything funny and I'll clock you." He followed the gesture then, unable to help keep looking back at her so he was going in the right direction and she wouldn't try anything.

Amelita had never meant to drop a bomb on Finnley like this. Never meant for him to find out that the there were real monsters out there. Only way to make it so there was even a remote possibility of being friends in the future was to use her speed again to get ahead of him so she could stop him from running away. Luckily he followed her direction until they were sitting on a bench outside, people passing by but not really paying any attention. Since Finnley didn't hear what she said anyway, she could whisper and no one else would hear her.
Sitting down and facing the human, Amelita sighed slightly before she could begin to explain anything. "What do you know about the supernatural? Witches, vampires, werewolves, that kind of stuff?" There was no easy way of explaining this to a human really, but hopefully he'd understand soon enough. She would be in so much trouble if anyone else found out about this...
"What if I told you it's all real, and you just moved to a town originally built to be a safe haven for us all?"

Finnley was keeping a sharp eye on Gale, not trusting her too much. He couldn't help to be a bit startled at her running like a blur to get ahead of him, but his face went a bit sour as he followed. He sat down on the bench, not really looking away from her before she started to talk. He kept darting between looking at her face to her lips, looking at her skeptically at the question. "They just stories in books and movies. Like a local banshee or something. All story." His eyes couldn't help to widen when she was starting to pretty much claim this town was once a big haven for all those that go bump in the night. He couldn't help to laugh then, looking at her like she was a bit mad. Things like vampires and werewolves couldn't exist, right? "You can't be serious! Things like that actually existing, take me as a fool of somethin'?" He was being a bit loud but that's expected with anyone that's upset and feels someone's trying to take them as a fool with the though of a town entirely for monsters. Nothing like that existed as far as Finnley was concerned.

It was obvious Finnley didn't believe her, and Amelita pulled a hand through her hair before looking away for a moment. How could so put this in terms to make Finnley understand properly? Was there even such a way? Turning her attention back to the other at the question of whether she was taking him for a fool.
"Explain how I could move so fast if there wasn't more to me than it seems." She simply said, slowly braiding her hair to one side to keep her hands busy. It was nerve-wrecking to try to explain so the human would understand she wasn't just trying to make him look stupid. "Magic is real, werewolves are real and vampires are real. Even some superhumans of sorts." She didn't know what else she could do to convince him really, other than to show him if he still wouldn't believe her.

Finnley was trying not to seem too mad still. As he noticed how she was starting to get nervous herself. He just couldn't fathom the process of ther being monsters. Ghosts he could get, but vampires and werewolves? Not so much. He watched her lips carefully, taking in her question. "Could have been some freak accident that made you like that. Doctors and scientists like to mess with that sort of thing." His mind was more willing to believe in medical experiments than a blood sucker that could live forever. He watched her say they were all real, just getting a look that said he was tired of playing this game. He folded her arms for a moment just staring at her. "They're as real as I am mute. Glad to have endulged your little fantasy but I just can't believe that." He then rose to his feet and proceeded to walk away and to his car. He was going to need a drink at this point with how unreal this simple shopping trip turned out to be.

Amelita was at loss for words. She couldn't understand how it was impossible to believe that there were 'monsters' out there. Maybe it was different for her than most people, being brought up to hunt them after all. Her parents hadn't lacked evidence to convince her that those things were real and her sister was no different. The whole idea of a freak accident made her chuckle.
Gale couldn't just let Finnley walk away like that, she needed some way to make him believe her. Closing her eyes for a moment when he rose to his feet and started to walk away, she made up her mind as to what she had to do. Opening her eyes again, she moved as fast as humanly possible and stopped Finnley again, this time letting her instincts get the better of her as her appearance change. Her eyes darkened slightly as she revealed her fangs, before she shook it off and returned to normal. "I'm not a liar," she said, before she went to go get her bag by the bench. There was no point trying to convince Finnley if he still wouldn't listen after her display. She honestly didn't care if she'd freaked him out now.

Finnley was dead set on going home and having a beer. This girl had worked him up some in the sense of just testing his patience. Did she honestly think she could get him to believe in monsters? He shook his head at this before Gale was suddenly in front of him. His expression looked rather pissed off but quickly turned into terror as she had her entire eye consumed by black and sharp fangs. He backed up in a panic, nearly tripping over his feet as he was barely able to catch something about someone not a liar. Blue eyes were wide in terror as he just watched her walk back to the bench. "You-you....The hell?! Stay away!" He had turned white as a sheet while shouting these words. A few people looked over at him, but he didn't seem to care as he scrambled to make a mad dash to his car. Something like that, whatever she is, just isn't natural. Finnley was in a panic for his life and that of his family now. Monsters were real, and he just wished it wasn't true.

She knew she'd stepped over the line the moment she'd showed Finnley the truth. Knew that he wouldn't be OK with it, even before she walked away and heard him yelling after her to stay away. Gale was conflicted, she didn't know whether she should just let him drive away in such a panic or if she should stop him and try to calm him down again.
After picking up her bags again, she decided to let Finnley get away for now, give him a chance to calm down some before she tracked him to wherever it was that he was going in his panic-induced state. She wanted to shout after him, tell him not to be afraid, but the fact remained that he wouldn't be able to hear her, so it wouldn't matter what she shouted after him.
Texting Damien, she told him she wouldn't be home for another while and patiently waited till she could follow Finnley to his location.

Finnley started to calm down some once he started to head home. His mother asked him how the shopping had gone with sign language, but he ended up just waving her off about it as he dragged his things inside. Both his parents could hear fine, but they had learned to sign to understand Finnley better. His mom seemed to hover over him for a bit before he gave in and told her the shopping went fine. He lied a bit and said he was tired, even looking the part before heading downstairs to his room in the basement. It helped his parents out some as it muted his shouts some if he got too loud to the point his parents couldn't even handle it.
Finnley looked over at the small window that could barely squeeze a person through and locked it along with his door. He wanted to be left to himself about the horror he just saw in Gale, just laying out on his bed. He stared at the ceiling, almost looking to be talking to himself, his expression going from confused to angry to scared before he managed to doze off where he lay.

Amelita had given Finnley a head start, but it wasn't that hard to figure out where he'd gone, despite him traveling by car. She figured out where he lived and went home with her bag before she returned and contemplated her next move. She couldn't just go barging in and demand to see Finnley, so the only other way really was to go about it the right way.
Walking up to the door, she rang the doorbell and patiently waited for the door to open. If all else failed, she'd tell his parents that she was a friend of his and if that failed, she could always just use compulsion on whomever opened the door to get her to see Finnley.
Amelita didn't know why she'd taken such an interest in the human, but she was determined not to leave him alone until she'd made him see that not everyone was a monster despite their species. He hadn't believed her when she'd tried to explain, and he'd freaked out when he'd learned the truth. It wasn't like her to leave things unfinished like that and she intended to right her mistake of not warning him before she showed him the truth.

Finnley had managed to stay asleep, though it wasn't without nightmares now. He was restless as he tossed and turned, managing to tangle himself up in his blankets while fighting with whatever monster was chasing him down in his dreams.
His mother on the other hand was oblivious to her son's freak out, having grown used to him being honest when something bothered him. She was still unpacking a few things around the house before the doorbell rang. being in the back of the house she wouldn't have noticed much, but due to Finnley being deaf, they had it wired to flicker all the house lights as well. She rushed over to the door, curious of who it was. She looked a little confused but happy to see the pink haired girl. "hello there, can I help you?"
it seemed Finnley got his caring and want to help others from his mother given the way the woman behaved.

Amelita hadn't really thought past the whole ringing the doorbell thing, so when a woman opened the door, she looked a little confused for a moment herself. The kind question pulled her right back into reality though. "Hi there, is Finnley home?" She didn't think she could exactly tell him mother how she'd found out where he lived though...
The pink haired vampiress realized she needed to keep as closely to the truth as possible without actually telling the whole truth at this point. "I promised to show him around town and he sort of bailed on me," she continued at bit her lower lip, she really didn't like how she'd scared the poor human after all.
