He wanted to give Valerie doubt on her involvement of the conspiracy. He just nodded at what Amanda purposed."Sounds fine with me, I am going to take a shower, if you want just contact Valerie and bring her to my house, II'll get Hunter down there and we can start." He said. He wanted a shower, the vampires blood on his skin was making his skin crawl and he wanted to desperately get the substance of him.

Amanda loathed when Hunter dug around in her mind and she'd hate to put Valerie through the fire like that, but it was needed. If she truly wanted back with the pack, this was the only way to get back on Jack's good side. If Hunter found no evidence of foul play as far as Valerie went the brunette might have her chance at redemption. After all, she desperately hoped Valerie had nothing to do with the hunter going after Jack again.

"I'll see you there," she smiled at Jack before she walked off to get changed and get Valerie. It didn't take too long before she was clean again and had reached Valerie. "Just don't fight Hunter, and you'll do fine. If they think you're trying to hide anything, I can't guarantee your safety..." She told the other as she rang the doorbell to Jack's house.

Jack hurried home and showered, afterwards calling Hunter and the beta came down to his home. He explained what was going on with the order and what he needed to do. Hunter telepathic abilities were advanced, so finding the truth would be easy. Jack got up, answering the door and key the two in. He told Valerie to sit on the couch with Hunter. "It's not going to be a pleasant experience, but has to be done." Hunter said.

Once everyone was settle in, Hunter placed both hands on either side of Valerieshead and began to rummage through her deepest thoughts and into the dark corners of the wolves mind.

Amanda hoped for Valerie's sake that she didn't have anything to do with the hit ordered on Jack or she'd be done for. There would be no going back to he order, in fact there would be no getting out of the house alive probably. It did seem like Valerie understood the seriousness of her situation though as the moment she was told to sit on the couch next to Hunter, she was quite pale.

Valerie didn't really have anything to hide, but she had never liked it when she was screened by the order and here she was forced to give it all up to prove she wasn't spying on Jack. While Hunter was searching through her mind, she could see what he saw and it really wasn't pleasant at all. Memories of taking her finally vows to the order, the tests they'd put her through to see if she was able to do the job assigned to her.

She really hadn't joined the pack on the Order's behalf. She'd wanted a place she could belong outside of the order and that was the only reason she'd wanted to join. After asking her brother about Leslie and telling Jack, she'd spent the next few hours in the library, searching through the archives to see if she couldn't find out why exactly Leslie went after Jack again. It was odd there was no record of Leslie after the attack on Jack's parents and she hadn't gotten any further with the archivists. She really had been trying to figure out who had sent the hunter, but there was no record of it anywhere. Any peace keeping action taken by a hunter was supposed to be recorded.

Hunter could see all her memories, most were kinda sad to him but he kept on with what he had to do and ignored his sympathic feelings and went through rummaging, he found nothing that tied her to the hit order and finally pulled himself from her mind. He looked at both Jack and Amanda."She had nothing to do with it." He revealed.

Jack nodded, looking at Valerie now. He wasn't mad but still didn't know if letting her back in the pack wa a good idea. "I could screen her every time she comes and.goes from the pack to make sure that she Iisn't telling the order anything." Hunter offered.

Jack ran a hand through his hair, looking from Valerie, Hunter then Amanda."What do you think, because her rejoining does have something to do with Kailahs safety." Jack said

She owed Valerie too much to just turn her back on her like that in her time of need. If Hunter said she was clean, she would take the Beta's word for it.

"I swear, I have no reason to report back to the order, but if Hunter's offer is what it takes to earn your trust, I'll do it," she said, looking up at Jack as he turned to Amanda. "If she's able to get to the bottom of who sent Leslie, I say she can join. It'll be her chance to prove that she has the pack's best interest in mind, and thus Kailah's as well." Amanda replied and ran a hand through her hair before hearing what Jack had to say about it. "I still say she takes Amber back with her though, just to be safe."

Jack nodded."I agree, if you can find out then Ill let you back in...I just want to keep Kailah safe." He said, not wanting to upset Valerie with the decision.of.not letting her back into the ranks. Hunter looked to Amanda."No, she honestly didn't know anything about the attack." He added.

Amanda smiled when Jack said he'd let Valerie back in if she could find out the truth. Sure, it might be an impossible task, but it was better than nothing. She felt like she owed it to the brunette to at least give her a chance at getting what she seemed to want after first teaching her how to defend herself without magic, then helping her control the wolf instincts. It helped that she got to snuggle up next to her from time to time, it made her feel safe.

"Before you go back, Valerie, I want you to meet my cousin. She can walk through anything and turn invisible. Her coming with you is part of the deal." Amanda turned to her right as the superhuman slowly turned visible again. Her charms had worked, Hunter didn't seem to pick up on her presence and she'd shielded her scents for the time being as well. "Nice to see you again, Jack," she said before she went on to greet Valerie properly.

"She comes with or you're out."

Jack and Hunter both looked surprised when Amandas cousin suddenly appeared, they hadn't traced her scent.and Hunter didn't pick up any thoughta either. Jack looked at Amanda now, then to the other two who were now getting acquainted. Jack got up now."I am going to get Kailah, I'll be back." He said and left.

Twenty minutes later he returned with Kailah, she saw her mom and immediately wanted Amanda to hold her. He handed Kailah off to her, smiling as Kailah started talking in baby like tone.

Amanda would have told both Jack and Hunter about Amber, but that would have failed to properly test the charms she'd given Amber. If either werewolf had sensed Amber, her cousin wouldn't stand a chance with the Order. So when Jack said he was going to get Kailah. "I would've just told you, but I needed to make sure the charms worked," she explained to Hunter. "Since none of you noticed her, she should be fine to go with Valerie, right?" she asked, turning to the wolf in question.

Valerie just nodded in agreement as she was getting to know a little about Amber. "If it's OK with you, I'd like to take Amber somewhere to properly form a plan. No offense, but I don't want to impose further," she said quietly before she started chatting with Amber again.

When Jack returned, Valerie and Amber had left to make a plan of action as to how they were to get to the bottom of everything. Amanda was just glad to hold her daughter again. She gladly listened to the toddler chatting away. "You shouldn't hide from daddy, you know how worried he gets," she said before she continued to listen to her chatter on. She could make out some of what her daughter was saying, but not a whole lot. She got that she'd played hide and seek with a nice man, but that was about it.

Jack remembered that time when Kailah played hide and seek with a.complete stranger."It was a hunter who is new I assume." He told Amanda as Kailah babbled on about the man, telling Amanda what he look like before tugging on Amandas red hair, giggling and telling Amanda that she loved her.

Jack sat down beside them, watching Kailah as she know started chewing on her stuff animal.

Amanda continued to listen to her daughter's babble for a while as she described the nice man that had made her hide. She giggled alongside her daughter when she tugged on her hair like that before she seemed to grow tired of talking and just wanted to chew on her toy again. It almost sounded an awful lot like the gentleman she'd met at the grill the other night, but she wasn't going to tell Jack about that.

"Well he couldn't have meant any harm by it if he just got her to play along. Surely you weren't entirely innocent in all of that either," she chuckled amused. She knew full well how Jack got when he sensed a hunter, but sometimes the hunters weren't even aware of what they were until Jack pointed it out to them. He needed to learn how to keep his cool and not make the first move. After all, Amanda had a hunter employed at her shop, and she'd known something was off about him without doing anything about it. After she'd learned the truth, it still didn't matter as he had made no move to hurt her or her daughter.

"Can I watch her tonight? I wouldn't have to take her home or anything, I'd be happy to stay here and watch her if you'd be more comfortable with that," she said, just wanting to spend more time with Kailah really. Dahlia had taken the rest of her daugher's magic from her, Casey had loosened the reigns on their contract and everything was almost back to normal. Only reason she hadn't wanted to be completely free yet was because she was still afraid of what she was capable of if provoked properly.

Jack tried not to scowl at what she said, sure he wasn't innocent in the situation, but the man didn't need to involved Kailah.in any way, shape or form. He watched Kailah chew on her toy and wanted down, he put Kailah on the floor and watched her waddle off. He looked at Amanda."Thats fine.if you stay here." He said.

Kailah was playing on the floor with her blocks, squealing with joy. Jack chuckled as he watched her.

Amanda knew that she really shouldn't provoke Jack, but she couldn't always help it. Life wasn't as black and white with regards to hunters as the werewolf wanted it. There were several shades of gray between the right and the wrong side of things. If Jack could just stop reacting until the hunter made the first move, nothing like the hunter playing hide and seek with Kailah would probably have happened to begin with.

The redhead was glad when she could watch Kailah, it didn't matter that she had to stay at Jack's until bedtime for her daughter as it meant she got to spend time with her. Walking over to her daughter, Amanda sat down by her and watched her play, occasionally she had to lean over and get her daughter's hair out of her face. She would be so pretty one day, Amanda couldn't help but look up at Jack, genuine joy written all over her fact that he allowed her such a simple pleasure in life.
