outfit~*~ Amanda had talked to her mother and they had both agreed that there was no way she was going to learn anything about her new state of being if she was still under contract with Casey. The only way out of it was for Dahlia to take the rest of Kailah's magic and in order for her to do that, and for that Marie needed to come with her daughter to the shop. So they went together, just so her mother could make her able to access her magic again just long enough for Dahlia to remove the rest of Kailah's. After the first week of trying to come to terms with her change, Amanda had gotten a lot better, at least as far as her senses not confusing her went. She'd dyed her hair back to it's more natural red, although it was darker than it had been before. Her whole style really had been more influenced by Valerie as she really didn't have much free time thanks to the other wolf. She still wasn't allowed to work in her shop alone, but Valerie or Alice made it almost fun to have a 'babysitter'. Entering the shop, Amanda was nervous to say the least. What was Dahlia going to say to her request? How would she react when Amanda asked her to revoke the contract with Casey, allowing her to access her full emotional range again, including rage? There was no way around it though, she never would learn to control her wolf instincts without it. Turning to her mother, she was silently begging for a way out of this, but when her mother refused, she turned to face Dahlia. "We need to talk..." she started, fidgeting with her bracelets nervously.

Dahlia was seeming to be in a good mood of sorts. Her day was currently spent cleaning up around the shop, singing to herself. She had gotten Casey to fall in line with work again, getting some reports now on how Amanda was doing, and her brother was seeming to settle with the nightmares some. She had even gotten her own social life together again, unable to help but giggle or grin at the thought of the romanian wolf that allowed that to be possible. SHe had been planning for Amanda to be seeing her again for more of the removal of the infant's magic, but it seemed she was beaten to the punch. At hearing her shop door open, she looked over with her usual mad grin before her expression became confused at seeing not only Amanda but another shop owner holding the child she knew as Amanda's daughter. She put down her cleaning supplies, noticing how nervous the woman was. She couldn't help to lift a brow at the question, gesturing for all of them to walk over to her office. "Of course darling, all of you this way. I was going to be scheduling a visit soon but you've beaten me to it. Is something the matter?"outfit

Marie adjusted Kailah slightly on her hip and urged Amanda to follow Dahlia when they were guided to the witch's office. Deciding it would be rude to not introduce herself, Marie smiled slightly at Dahlia. "Sorry to just show up like this, I'm Marie, Amanda's mom. I really appreciate what you're doing for my daughter." Seeing as having someone else around was the only way they were letting Amanda see her daughter at the moment, she'd thought it was only fair that she brought the toddler with her rather than leave her at home with her husband.
Amanda looked at Dahlia and sighed slightly. She didn't like this one bit. Sure, giving up her claim on her daughter's magic really had helped her change into a better person, but that didn't mean she felt ready at all to let go of her security net as far as Casey went. "Everything's the matter. I don't care how dangerous you think it is, I need to get the rest of Kailah's magic out of my system immediately so you can terminate my contract with Casey."
The redhead knew it probably didn't make any sense at all to Dahlia at this point, and she really hadn't come to terms with what she was going through yet either. Pushing her shirt slightly down on her right side, she revealed a scar that was still pretty pink on her shoulder. "I can't learn if I can't get angry." Marie merely shook her head slightly at how rude Amanda was being, clearly not liking the way her daughter was talking to the one person who'd made it possible for anyone to trust her again to begin with.

Dahlia was still a bit confused by all this, unsure as to why Amanda showed up with family like this so suddenly. She gestured for them to take seats while she sat down behind her desk. She gave a kind, though a touch mad, smile at Marie's words. "It's no trouble really, just doing what I must for the safety of others. Part of my job after all." Dahlia still seemed to be in a kind and happy mood, up until Amanda started to speak, demanding things. Her face couldn't help to go a bit grim then, her expression more like stone and not so bright or soft as it had been moments before. Nails started to tap along the desk for a moment, watching with steely eyes the sight of the scar and how Amanda somehow needed to be angry to learn how to use this new state of being. She wasn't happy in the slightest that there were now two werewitches in this town, but one couldn't help it due to birth. She was already thinking of what sort of trouble Amanda could have brought onto herself with this before speaking, her voice flat and clearly unhappy. "For starters, you will not talk to me that way if you wish for things to go as you want. Second, you are proving to me right now that I still need to make this process slow with Casey on guard from you feeling rage. You learning to deal with this new state of being is going to have to wait." Dahlia wanted the woman to learn from this after all, she couldn't go making this easy after half the destruction she caused before she was turned into this.

Amanda hadn't realized that she'd come off as demanding and rude until it was too late and Dahlia denied her request. She actually growled at the witch before her mother placed a hand on her shoulder and she calmed right away. She didn't know exactly what it was that Marie was doing, but somehow her mother calmed her without her questioning it at the moment. The redhead really hasn't meant to offend Dahlia, she just couldn't help it as she still couldn't quite believe it all.
Whining softly, she looked down at her hands for a moment. "I didn't want this Dahlia, if that's what you think. It really wasn't my fault for once," she was talking quietly though, not really looking at Dahlia as she didn't want to anger her further at the moment. Marie spoke up then, trying to plead her daughter's case. "She can't use her magic at the moment, and she won't be able to either until Jack is satisfied with her control. Giving back what isn't hers won't make much of a difference on that point. Please, I don't want to have to keep Kailah away from her mother for longer than necessary, not when they just got to spend time together again." Marie knew that at the end of the day, it was Dahlia that had to make the decision, but she also knew that her daughter needed her on her side.
Looking up at Dahlia with pleading eyes, Amanda tried again. "Please, I want to do this, I need to. I won't be alone at any time until I have this under control, Jack won't let me and I really don't want to either. I don't care what would happen to me if we got it all at once, if it would help me be able to learn to cope and deal with this wolf thing."

Dahlia was one to try and be merciful, but Amanda was leaving her on frayed nerves. It was bad enough she had the dragon off controlling the woman's rage, but for demands to be made like this after another mistake? the pink haired witch wasn't sure she even wanted to help, at least not until Marie spoke up on Amanda's behalf. She listened carefully, her stony expression unchanging as she heard the werewitch's case further. she noticed how the woman was pleading, clearly wanting this to take place as if it would make things for the better. Dahlia stood then, walking over to the shelf where she was keeping the orb holding what she had collected of Kailah's magic already. she looked at it for a moment before looking to the toddler then to said toddler's mother. Her face was still like stone but it seemed she had come to a decision of some kind. "I'll give you the wish of having the rest of the child's magic removed, but you will need to prove to me this rage you have in your heart won't cause destruction again. Casey will have to follow you like a hawk for a week, and if in that time he collects any information that shows you have changed, he can break the contract then. Are we clear?" Dahlia wanted to be nice but the woman had been rude and over demanding after the grace the councilwoman had shown her. Everything around here had a price after all.

It seemed to have helped when Marie spoke to Dahlia and Amanda couldn't help but smile slightly at her mother. She really had gotten a lot better since she'd started working with Dahlia, even Jack could tell the other witch that. Sure, no one had let her keep Kailah over night or be alone with her, but she was allowed to hold her and spend time with her under supervision and that was still better than nothing. She'd been wrong, deluded even, to think that she'd done what she did to keep her daughter safe. Now, she really was doing everything to keep her safe, even keeping her distance after she was bitten so she wouldn't be able to do anything stupid quite by accident.
Upon hearing Dahlia's terms, Amanda smiled slightly at the pink haired witch. "It all sounds reasonable, thank you. I only have one concern, there's this other wolf that's teaching me to fight as a way to get rid of excess energy, she really does her best to push my limits, but she never lets me go until I'm calm again, would that still be acceptable as I wouldn't really hurt anyone in a worked up state?" Despite how it might seem, Valerie really was helping a lot. Not only was Amanda exhausted when she was done training for the day, but she was calm as still waters and had made a friend for life. Despite what Jack might think of the brunette, Amanda really likes that she'd been so kind about it all.
Marie looked at Dahlia for a moment, adjusting Kailah again as the toddler reached out over the table when the orb was brought out, as if she knew that it belonged to her somehow. "When you're ready, I'll release the spell on Amanda for just long enough so you can access the magic and take it away. Then she'll return to just being a wolf, Jack won't go easy on her, that you can trust." Marie didn't tell Dahlia what she was thinking, but if Amanda failed again, her daughter would be forced to live out her days without magic altogether, she didn't want Amanda to hurt anyone else for entertainment after all. She hasn't even let her go after the wolf that bit her.

Dahlia still seemed a bit sour at the moment, as her mood had been sent out the window with such demands and near annoyance. She listened to Amanda go on about a wolf that was helping her, making the red head lift a brow at the woman. She wasn't sure what to think of this. "I'll have to meet or talk to this wolf. Might send Casey to see this wolf while evaluating if it can release the contract or not. This way now." She then rose to her feet and led them out of her office and into a back room. She didn't know how much of a recoil this could have and wanted to leave plenty of space for all of them. She brought the orb with them, leading the way before closing the door. She looked to the toddler and Marie for a moment, trying to assess how this was going to be done. She couldn't help to smirk at what was said about jack going easy. That alpha had made her be put into her place when she was trying to do more than she was able. She gestured for Amanda to step forward, holding the orb out as well. "Place your hand on the orb. Take a deep breath and shut your eyes and we'll begin. This might actually hurt, just to warn you." there was almost a caring tone to her words but for the most part her voice fell flat. She looked to Marie then, ready to start with the removal of the rest of the toddler's magic and to get them all out of her shop.

Amanda merely nodded, clearly accepting Dahlia's terms as far as Valerie went. She had pushed her luck far enough already, she didn't need to push Dahlia further by being difficult about her latest keeper. "I can have her come over any time that suits you," she said, before they were led out of the office and into a back room. Despite how angry she'd been at being turned into this against her will, she knew there was only one way forward and that was to let it all go.
There was nothing else she could do but to follow Dahlia's instructions to a t. So, naturally, she stepped forward and placed her hand on the orb. Taking a deep breath, she shut her eyes like instructed. "I'd deserve that," she muttered after hearing it might hurt. She'd beat herself up mentally over all the bad things she'd done with all this power, it was about time it had some physical effects as well. While she was standing there, bracing herself for whatever was about to happen, Marie nodded slightly at Dahlia. "You're good to go." Then she made sure Kailah wasn't looking at her mother or trying to reach out, ready to cover the toddler's ears in case Amanda made any cries of pain.

Dahlia gave one last nod to Marie before staring down at Amanda. Her eyes looked cold in that moment as the spell to start this was spoken in a hushed whisper. She was starting this slowly just to be safe, but just without the lock on the magic there was rage that once abused this pure state of magic. the walls seemed to rattle for a moment before Dahlia was seeming to pull the magic that rightfully belonged to Kailah out of Amanda. it was mostly focused through the woman's hand, but burst would escape her and there. Dahlia was holding her ground, her words spoken louder while forcing more magic out of Amanda. She wasn't sure what this was going to do to Amanda, but a part of her hoped it would flicker some kind of pain based on the rage that abused this magic so much for a while.

Though she thought she was ready for what was about to happen, Amanda had to brace herself. Once Dahlia started the spell, she very quietly told her mother to get Kailah out of there immediately, just to be on the safe side. Luckily, her mother complied so all Amanda had to worry about was herself.
It was fine at first, but once Dahlia started intensifying the spell, she was glad that her mother had understood how dangerous it could be and didn't linger. She hadn't known it would hurt so much and if it hadn't been for her hand feeling like it was glued to the orb, holding her up, she most likely would have doubled over. It was amazing how much the rage that had polluted the magic hurt once the magic was draining from her and she actually growled in pain, doing her best not to cry out.
She should have been used to such intense pain by now, or at least numbed to it some, after first giving birth, then going through her transformation, but this was something else entirely. Amanda wouldn't give Dahlia the satisfaction of hearing her cry out in pain, but tears were running down her cheeks before long and if she had been even a tiny bit less convinced that she had to do this the hard way, she would have begged the other witch to stop.
Amanda felt like she was on fire, and in the end, she did cry out before the last of the magic finally tore free from her own. She had never felt so worn out of weak in her entire life, it was a wonder she was still standing really.

Dahlia had shut her own eyes, hearing Marie leave but not seeing it. She was picking up with magic, further draining out the last of what amanda had in her of Kailah's magic. she saw the tears and could hear how the woman was in pain, but she remained indifferent through it all, only seeming to show some care when she stopped the spell. She pulled the orb away from Amanda's touch, sealing it from being accessed until its owner was ready while using her other arm to support Amanda from falling. Sure she she had felt some satisfaction from hearing the woman cry out in pain, but it was still wrong. Dahlia realized she was trying to change for the better, but the red head just wasn't believing it quite yet. "The worst is over now, just try to breathe. I'll get you something for the pain if you need it. This way now." She was at least going to be kind enough to let Amanda catch her breath and ease again before calling casey in with its new orders.

Amanda was shaking when Dahlia supported her so she could remain standing. There really were enough words in the world to describe how relieved she was that Kailah hadn't been exposed to that as it made her feel all hallow and weak. It really wasn't until that moment that Amanda realized how much she'd really depended on magic that wasn't hers to begin with to get through the day, even if she wasn't using it most of the time. In a strange, twisted way, it had felt like a way to be close to her daughter in times when she couldn't.
The pain that was left now though, was mostly an emotional pain. She knew it was wrong, and she knew she couldn't do anything about it now, but the next week would be extra tough on her and on top of that she had to prove to everyone that she really was trying to change her ways. Amanda had never asked to be a monster, but the power had corrupted her, just as much as she'd abused the magic in return.
"Thanks, but I don't think I should be dulling anything. I can't learn from my mistakes if I don't feel the full effects of the consequences of my actions," she said, trying to be brave as she wiped away the last of her tears. All she wanted to do was to hold her daughter and fawn over her, shut the world out for a little while and try to feel better by actually doing something good for once.
"Thank you for doing this," she said rather humbly. After all, Dahlia had been a life saver and she'd been nothing but rude and obnoxious to the other witch. It was no way of thanking her for helping really, and she would find a way to repay the witch in the future. She just wasn't ready to admit that she would help Dahlia in return just yet, she needed to get over the humiliation of not only needing help to begin with, but she was humiliated that she couldn't grit her teeth through this whole ordeal.

Dahlia helped lead Amanda to a chair, sitting her down while listening. She didn't mind the words, in fact she was rather glad Amanda was willing to sit through the pain. In a sense it made her feel less like the woman was going to cause more trouble for a while. "I'll call Casey then, discuss the new deal, and send you and everyone else on their way for the evening." She gave a snap of her fingers then, the dragon appearing with a smug look on its face. It seemed content enough with being there, but its mood changed when Dahlia still didn't look too pleased. "you're going to keep a much sharper eye on her this time dragon. Stay with her a week and tell me how she does. Report to me on all movements. Oh and learn about this wolf that's training her, I need to hear about this one." She left them then, heading back to her office and seeming rather cold. Casey could only look at Amanda with a saddened smile, offering s hand to escort her out to meet up with Marie and Kailah

Despite it all, it was almost a relief to be rid of the excess magic, especially since she wasn't allowed to use any magic for the time being. She had a feeling she might not be allowed to use it at all if she didn't get control over herself, so she wasn't going to risk anything. The redhead needed to get a grip on herself and the pain she was feeling now was just a reminder of that. She was relieved to sit down though, however briefly.
It was never pleasant when Casey showed up, especially not considering he was her new guardian for the week. Sure, she'd been grateful after a while to have that security net, but she couldn't wait until she was able to be on her own again, without having to worry about what others thought of her all the time. She didn't even know if Jack wanted her to be with his pack or not yet, it hadn't really come up in conversation, but she had a feeling they had to talk about it with the full moon approaching, just to be on the safe side.
Amanda was proud by nature, but she wasn't too proud to accept help when she was weakened like she currently was and gladly accepted the hand to escort her to her family. Her mother had that worried expression she saved for special occasions, but Amanda couldn't help but hug her mother and daughter, wanting to just lay down and cuddle with her daughter by now.
Marie placed Kailah on the ground and grabbed her hand. She placed her free hand around Amanda's waist to support her so they could get her home to relax for a while. "She's not going to do any more work today, I'm putting her straight to bed. You're welcome to do whatever Dahlia has ordered you to, but I'm not letting you near my granddaughter, is that clear?" Marie didn' mean to be so strict about it, but she didn't want Casey anywhere near Kailah and she was pretty sure Jack would agree on that.
